Let's school after sixth grade. Look at them now. And the voice of the bolts. Matt Money Smith. The answer is, Money. There is nothing you can do. You know it's coming. This is the Petros and Money Show. On the home of your world champion, Los Angeles Dodgers. Make us your top preset on the I Heart Radio app. Fly, fight, and win. On the I Heart Radio app, a super flex for us. We only go until three. I'll check with 255. As the Gelfon Ford broadcast booth will have Dodgers baseball at 410 pm Dodgers on deck at three. David Vassay already checked in from Miami. Shared some really cool insight about Hosue de Paula, who will be the starting DH tonight in place of Shoei Otani. The most heralded Dodger prospect since Cory Seeger. Oh, Dave, back to you up. He backed your story, Matt.

I didn't think he would. I was going to jump all over you and. Now you're right all over your face, just like McVeigh is wearing it right now from everybody. Howard really had to walk that back, man. Howard really had to eat some crow. Look, the Rams are, the Rams are very good at convincing the media that they know more than everybody else. They're like Kaisers also. Yeah. But Dave, share a discussion relationship that DePaula has that you'll want to hear if you missed it. So you can do that through the podcast. I heart radio app, AM 570 LA Sports Tile, Petro, so many podcasts. Subscribe to that and make sure you catch up on everything that you may have missed. I'm trying to get Carlo to pull some weight and make a reservation for us at a bougie restaurant here in town that serves like bison burgers and stuff. And I guess that makes sense because no, through Kota States plan, a bison burger and Carlos things like you would be showing. That you would then be showing some sort of favoritism to the Air Force Academy.

If you just I don't know, well, this place, a bison burger. This place is called Ted's and Kate's thought it was Ted's from the Phil Henry show with. Ted's a Beverly Hills. Well, everybody, this is Ted Bell and Ted's a Beverly Hills. As you know, is featuring now our brisket as well as our smoke sausage. Yep, that's right. Ted Bell has smoked this sausage. I love Phil Henry. We are not going to Ted's and Beverly Hills tonight, but if they have a smoke sausage, smoking right now, smoke him if you got him. It's lonely at the bottom. So we're working on that. We're effort did Carlo book something already and you said you can do better. Carlo booked nothing. He booked nothing. I mean, the producer really was supposed to do it. Well, the producer's not here and I'm twice his age. So, you know, when I used to travel with Barry Topkins, who was almost three times my age,

I, oh, we do have a reservation. It's just late. So we're going to try to eat at the bar. We're going to try to eat at the bar. I got an idea. You know, why don't you document it? I don't know. Maybe put it on TikTok or Instagram. Oh, good idea. Travels and news. I don't know. Well, you know what? Carlo. Carlo and I are going to start our own joint TikTok page. Yeah. Let's go. From Ted's and Beverly Hills. Great idea. Let's take house. Come on, dad. Hey, everybody. This is Ted Bell and Ted's a Beverly Hills. Ted Bell. As you know, is featuring now our brisket as well as our smoked sausage. Yep, that's right. Ted Bell has smoked his sausage. No, don't worry about it, Phil. I got this. I got this. This is so good. Ted Bell has smoked his sausage. Anyway, yeah. Carlo and I are going to have the night of our lives. And you know what? I got it. I squeezed it out of him. What up, noisy? I squeezed it out of him, Matt, that he's got 200,000 TikTok followers.

Two. Yeah, incredibly popular. Thousand. I was like, how many you got? 50 Gs? He's like, no, man. Hell no. Now, you get an order for him at the bar or did he bring his fake idea with him or what? He's 24. Whoa. His spotter can't order a bar. His spotter will not be in town to the tomorrow. And we're not going to drink till after the show. And that'll be like, that'll be a parking lot drinking here in the, like, John Riggins after a red skin skin. There you go. In the RFK parking lot. All right, Matt. It's time for the word of the day. He made me with his words. The word of the day. We play this every year. Every year goes by. We're still going to play it because Vince Scully is what we had. What we have still when we remember, Vin, is just absolutely should be treasured. It is the 25th anniversary of 9-11. And if you weren't alive, Carlo, barely, if you don't remember, the sports world shut

down NFL MLB games all canceled for a week. The Dodgers restarted their season on September 17th at home at Dodger Stadium versus the Padres. Of course, people were grieving and in shock and needed a familiar and comforting voice. And you really don't know how people are going to react to those things and how much somebody's voice means until there's moments like that. And bringing back baseball and L.A. and doing an open on camera was Vince Scully. And as always, the courts he struck were beyond perfect. Here's Vince Scully 25 years ago. Good evening. And welcome to Dodger Stadium. All of us have experienced a litany of emotions, whether it would be shock, disbelief, and horror followed by grief, mourning, and anger. All of us indeed have lost a lot. We've lost thousands of lives. We have lost some of our self-confidence. We have lost some of our freedom. And certainly, we have lost a way of life.

The President of the United States has said it is time to go back to work. And so, despite a heavy heart, baseball gets up out of the dirt, brushes itself off, and will follow his command, hoping in some small way to inspire the nation to do the same. All of the ball players and the major leagues are wearing the American flag out of patriotism, yes, out of love of country, yes. But more so out of duty and of courage and to pronounce a national firmness of will. God bless us in our efforts. God bless America. Yeah. Wow. What a stud. All right. It is time for the number of the day. Number of the day. Number of the day. No more. Callorado. Number of the day. Number of the day is four. We'll make it five on Monday.

So as not to have a tie, but here we go. Week one picks. Are you going to be a big smack? You're going to make you're going to make some things. Here they come. We're going to start with a home dog Houston getting one and a half over Buffalo since Demiko Ryan's became their head coach. They have one 10 games every year. They went a playoff game and they will play host to a Buffalo team with a new head coach, new defense coordinator, new number one receiver. And I like the continuity and arguably not just the best defense in the NFL, but one of the best defenses we've seen in the last 10 years. So I will take Houston, the Texans plus one and a half over the bills. This perhaps a little bit of favoritism played. Oh, come on, never. Because Jesse Minner is a first time head coach for the Ravens, I got to see what he was able to do with a collection of players that were not supposed to be the number one scoring defense in the NFL over the two years. He was the defensive coordinator for the chargers, but that is in fact what he did.

He now takes over a Ravens team that is chock full of talent, even with Mattabique not playing in Indianapolis. A lot of unknowns there. The health of Daniel Jones, the health of the forest Buckner, their two best player or their starting quarterback and their best defensive player. So I will take the road favorite Ravens behind what I think could be another MVP caliber campaign from Lamar Jackson to late three and a half. For the Colts, Atlanta is likely going to be starting Cooper Rush. There was a quarterback battle between two off injured. Is that the guy from Central Michigan? Is that where he went? He was in Dallas for a while. That's the guy from my game that beat the Mike Gundy with a both. Oh, yeah, both way victory. That's Cooper Rush. There you go. Yeah, Cooper Rush, the chip. Well, likely make the start because Michael Panics couldn't make it through training camp. And two also could not make it through training camp. So onto their third string quarterback against a Pittsburgh team that continues to feature

defensive players like Cam Hayward, TJ Watt, Lonzo Heisman. So I'm happy to lay the three and a half over Atlanta. And finally, we'll go Sun and I football. Currently John Harbaugh is the favorite to encode to the year, suggesting that people believe that he is in line to turn this Giants team around with Jackson Dart, Cam Skataboo, and a hell of a defensive front. But that defensive front did lose sort of its anchor Dexter Lawrence. In the middle of that line is now in Cleveland. Or I should say in Cincinnati and John Harbaugh will have to go up against what looks to be a pretty darn good Dallas team, both offensively and defensively a lot better last year, but succumb to injuries late in the season. So I will lay the three and take the Cowboys. I don't know if I've ever taken the Cowboys in a, I don't think I have. Why not? I don't know. I just I never believe in them, but I do think they're going to be pretty darn good this year. So I'll lay the three. So there you go. Those are the four and then we'll pick the Monday night. Even with pump ass Brian Shottonheimer.

He was really good last year. I just, very difficult for me to believe, Matt. I know. I know. I know. So by the way, we'll have that game Sunday night right here on AM 570 LA sports. Yeah, little Cowboys football. You like them, Matt? So does America. Well, there you go. Yeah, America likes them too. Cowboys minus three Pittsburgh minus three and a half Ravens minus three and a half and home dog Houston plus one and a half. Your four picks for the weekend. All right. I just thought Jonas Post is a Sunday night football. The challenge promo with a little guy there. What's his name? Mario Salise. Yeah. The designer pockets on his team. Did I lose that? No. No, but they do have a similar look and both truly meant about town. That's Roddy's voice. Roddy got the song of the day. This is the song of the day.

The instrumental theme song to the popular. The 80s television show Miami Vice is our song of the day from composer and musician John Hummer. The tune of the show on his favorite on this frogman Friday with the Petros and money show on a super flex alert with the Dodgers and Miami getting ready to reel in the Marlins in a weekend series this afternoon at Lone Depot Park beginning with Tim Cates and that Marango Casino Dodgers on deck program beginning promptly at three o'clock. You ready? You're welcome. And we'll be back with the top story of the day and then have you get an alive guy birthday of the day and then we'll get you to the land of Yon Hummer, Crockett and Tu and Edward James almost friend of the show and charger fan. I'm seeing a reading of Sudako in the Thousand Paper Cranes by Audrement Donald at the Wonderland bookstore. That's crazy. I went to the Wonderland bookstore yesterday and I heard Nora Jones do a reading of Zero Doctor 30. No way. I have to come to the last bookstore though. Patrons, Papadakas, Matt Money Smith. This is Patrons and Money, up on demand. It is the Patrons and Money Show on Amphi 70 L.A. Sports, your home of Dodger baseball. Dodgers in Miami tonight. Well, swayed to Paula's going to play and Blake Snal's going to pinch, but right now it's time for the top story of the day. We kicked off the show with it, revisited it here. It is week one. We have a game to react to and to to preview with our three teams that we tend to focus on on Fridays or Thursdays and three things. We start with the reaction. And I can see I had a dog in the fight. I mean, you were very. I enjoy our international trips, Pete. I'm really invested. I love Mexico City. We were there two days before the game explored museums, neighborhoods, incredible food. Who cares about with a football team when you know the play by play guys going to have

a good time? I'm there to call a game and I'm there to do the NFL's bidding to share what exceptional cities these are and how they too should see what I was fortunate to see. London even better got out there midday Friday. Get up with a friend for dinner, few pops afterward all day Saturday explored the city Sunday. Tell everybody who your friend was, Matt, it was John Cleese. It was. We talked comedy. And then later you guys met at the old wine shades at the old bar where Charles Dickens used to drink and you met up with Tony Blair, the three of you. Brazil the best got their Tuesday morning hopped into a rental car, spent the next day and a half almost two days in juké. The beach serpent with a local showed me around town, great air B and B incredible people, incredible food, played a Friday home game. I guess you would call it because they were hosting the chiefs that game and then made it home before I should say a Thursday game and then made it home before no Friday.

Yeah, before the weekend is great experience. So I said it all out to say I expect that the charges will be on an international trip next year. Perhaps even Australia. Maybe not Melbourne. It'll be Sydney would probably be the most likely we went to São Paulo last year this year. They're going to Rio. Maybe we'll go back to Mexico City. Maybe it'll be Canada, Europe. Who knows could be the Pacific? I mean, look at you, Mami. You're like James Bond. You don't know where your assignments come with Carmen San Diego, man. I go where they said me wherever it is. I hope I get a couple days to explore. So yes, I was rooting hard against the Rams who thought they knew better than not just conventional wisdom, but decades of experience to hell with that. They told all of us and we know they told us to hell with all of that because of the number of Rams sycophants available on social media TV. What used to be print and is now the internet sharing how this non traditional approach really

makes sense. The Rams media support is not congruous with their fan base. No, I've just got to say that. I'm going to, you know what? I'm going to come right out and say it. I just did. And it's all because Sean McVeigh and God, you know, good on him for doing it knows their names, calls them back. He's incredibly accessible as a head coach. And they all think they're the most specialist Peter Shreger told us through a tweet. And I can only imagine how excited he was to count his 23,000 likes, his 1.2,000 bookmarks, his 1000, I mean, that's an amount of that's an amount of likes that Carlo could be proud of 23,000. I'm going to take the Rams are all in for the night. It's 9.45 PM in Melbourne. They slept on the flight over and will sleep now in the hotel for one night and they'll wake up and play a football game in 12 hours. This isn't some trial and error approach.

They've sent 15 staffers over the last two years and have tracked their bodies and sleep rhythms. This was deemed the approach. No turning back now. Now of course he's getting destroyed for being an apologist. Right. His favorite comments under that tweet is just let the Rams PR department do this. You don't have to. This even better though. Shreger is the Roussini for the Rams. Oh, that's right. Even closer relationship. I saw that one. He replied to that one. So you know, he was reading them all just to see like, yes, everybody feeling my tweet man. I'm going to read the comments. This isn't some trial and error approach. The fact that they shared with the media that they hired sleep experts that they had been planning this for two years that 15 different staff members went to experience this. That is their ultimate F you.

We know better. You can't possibly criticize us or have an opinion on this because of the investment that we've made. So don't even try. And essentially what they told us was the results will speak for themselves. Well, they did stop it. Stop with your ethos picks. Stop with a Fibonacci sequence for your uniform redesign. Stop with Pete mother f being Shreger already. This is a quote. Well, who's going to give Shreger? I mean, who's Shreger going to cover if they have to stop with Shreger? He's going to exactly. He's going to fill a show every afternoon, Matt. Exactly right. Let's talk about my buddy, Sean McVeigh. I had a sleep over. We got to throw roll ups. This was Sean McVeigh's quote when they landed. You tell me if this makes any sense to you. I think this kind of speaks to how out of it he was. I look at it as Friday evening. It's Tuesday night for you guys, but it would be the equivalent of Friday evening.

Sleep through the night and then we'll get there and we have kind of a rhythm. I don't know what that means. They basically decided to commute to a professional football game with guys that weigh between 190 and 350 pounds that can move somewhere between 4.3 and 5.3 over 40 yards in between 4.3 and 5.3 seconds. These are violence machines. So I appreciate all the other people that are Ram fans trying to share with me. I'm an international traveler and I do this all the time. I completely agree with this approach. It helps keep your clock. It's not professional football. Or any professional. What about the tennis people? Did anybody ask them? Did the Ram? Did the Ram circadian rhythm people call up Novak Jokovic's team? Because I'm pretty sure those people go to pretty hard lengths to prepare for that time change.

And for the heat and for the whole deal. It's been going on for decades. I don't know if anybody on our flights drink more water than I do. I must pee at least 20 times. And yet still, if we're taking long trips when I get off, I feel like the dude in the three amigos who opens the canteen and it's just saying that it comes out into my mouth. Like you get dehydrated on a standard cross-country flight. Let alone if you're going for 15 hours into a dry ass climate. The 49ers ran over their ass. They looked tired from the jump. 30 carries for 174 yards. That is nearly six yards per carry. McCaffrey, 6.8 per carry. Rookie, Kaelin, Black, 4.6. Brock, Pertie, 5 carries for 6 per carry. Debo, 1 for 12. Time of possession. 34 minutes to 26 in favor of the 49ers.

It was Stafford's worst game in years. Air mailing dies, missing easy throws, throwing interceptions. Last year, he had a touchdown pass in every single game. This one's zero. It's to 155 yards and one interception. Miles Garrett. I was supposed to break his own sack record this year and pile up like 25. And maybe he still will. Zero sacks. 28 pass rushes. Zero sacks. Zero tackles. He had to tell everybody that I'm not 100%. Well, no kidding. You're dead tired. That's right, I'm 100%. Imagine playing freaking Fred Warner, a human missile of a football player who takes your chain all game long. Brock, Pertie, flexing all over you, throwing for three touchdowns, picking up four first downs with his legs, including what truly was the ultimate active humiliation for the Rams. A 99 yard drive. He extended it with two runs to pick up at least.

Well, at least it wasn't a 99 yard drive after a goal. After a goal line stand, they couldn't get it the extra foot. That touchdown at the end of that drive made it 24 seven. Shut it down. Let's go home. And the good news is, what time is it? They're still flying. They're supposed to land around three o'clock. Oh, okay. Well, it's more clock here in Colorado almost. Yeah. Just a time for the Marongo casino Dodgers on deck with the interview with Osweid to power. Just the time to the teams that have yet to play real quick. Chargers biggest spread of the week. They're laying nine and a half. The second highest total on the board, 48 and a half. Only the bucks and bangles. That contest is higher at 51 and a half. A lot of people excited about what this is going to look like. Justin Herbert, plus Mike McDaniel, as his offensive coordinator, is all world tackles. Richon Slater and Joe Alter healthy. Chargers have not had a 1000 yard rusher, even in two years of Jim Harbaugh, who features the run game. They have not had a 1000 yard rusher since Melvin Gordon in year one of their

move to LA 2017. They believe that will change with the Marian Hampton and Mike McDaniel. And that will begin tomorrow. Arizona has a new head coach, but you look at their final five games last year. Most of their personnel is the same. They gave up 45, 40, 26, 37 and 37 to their opponents to close the season as they lost nine straight. Raiders, the number one pick play was playing Fernando Mendoza, maybe a little bit of sizzle, but Kurt Cousins versus Malik Willis. Two, three win teams last year, or at least one three win team in the Raiders. Can't remember what the dolphins won. Five maybe. But hey, Ashton Gentia, if he's healthy, that's fun watch. Mike Washington, Jr. They're rookie back. Like 215 pounds or 220 and 4 3 speed. That's exciting. So yeah. I'm buying what the Rams are selling. I like their approach better than the 49ers. Thank you, a rash. Appreciate the opinion. What does it mean now? Means there's zero and one. Maybe some of those media types should have hedged their bets.

Yeah, just say, wow, that's really wild. We'll see if it works. That's an interesting approach. Doesn't really no one's ever tried it before, but I don't know. Let's see. And by the way, I do believe it was a rash that said, let's see how it goes on the back end. Don't forget the Rams did this to try not to alter their clocks for the next two weeks. Okay. All right. Thank you. Dead and alive guy Bert. Dead the day coming up next is Paterson money on AM570 Laseport. Hi. Well, mercifully coming to an end is the one and only Patronon's Money Show. It's been a wonderful day, a short day, but still a great Frogman Friday, some lamentation, Frogman regarding the Rams plan and how many people talked about what a great plan it was and discussed what a beautiful mind, much like the Russell Crowe movie that Sean

McVeigh had and it really did collapse. And I guess it wouldn't have been that bad if they didn't look so damn tired and lethargic. But man, they sure did look tired and lethargic. But man, a lot of people are not very happy with you. Very unhappy. Well, some Rams fans just texted in and very, very unhappy. Well, they're upset. They lost a game humiliated on national TV. They got to fly back from Australia, who knows if it's going to have long term effects. I understand. You got to take it on somebody. I'll be your punching bag. I don't believe that that's why we didn't play well enough. I do. This says, hey, Pete, I just turned on the show and Muddy's charger boner poked my eye out. Okay, the Rams were fools, but take a breath. Matt, hopefully the bolts don't fall on their D. How about that? If they do, I don't think it'll be by selling us on some wacky travel schedule that we're all too stupid to comprehend. You are. Yeah, I understood it.

This says the Rams are back already, Matt. You're wrong. Okay. And this one's this is my favorite one. Hey, buddy, shut the hell up. You D the Rams lost because they played like crap. Post more surf photos on Instagram. You pose a cook. I don't believe that that's why we didn't play well enough. Matt, you struck it. I guess it struck a nerve like the bad religion song. Yeah. I mean, I just gave a couple college football picks and played the Venn Skelly sound. You know, sitting here with Carlo. 15 staffers over two years. You think those people are being punished? Why did you tell us he felt great? Why did you tell us? You sort of bitch. You lied to us. Big thank you to everybody. Troy Gerhart here at Air Force, hook on us up with this booth, the great people at Air Force.

Carlo and of course, our executive producer Tim Kates and our engineer, the one and only Ronnie Fossil, Matt Scott the call Sunday, one o'clock AM640, chargers taken on the Cardinals. And the Uber driver, yeah, I don't know what that guy's been arrested. Hi, this is Kylie Breakman, Angel Jaretana, Jeremy Colhane, Patrick McDonald.
