2006年からヤングガンガンに連載がはじまった小林立さんの『咲-Saki-』。麻雀部が知的競技として、全国の高校にあるような世界の物語。そのマンガの最初の頃、主人公 宮永咲の住む地域の背景に、福島県北塩原村の景色が使われているのが昨年、発見されました。長野県の高校が舞台なのに、福島県の景色が使われていてびっくりです。アニメ、ドラマ、映画にもなった作品。北塩原村に聖地巡礼する人も現れるようになってきているようです。
