965 Homes Approved for Signal Park in Tolworth

0:00On March 19, plans are moving forward to add 965 homes to Signal Park in Tollworth, South London. Kingston Council officers recommend approving the second phase, which would bring the total homes on the site to 1176. Developers countryside partnerships and the Guinness partnership aim to make the most of the nearly 11 acre brownfield plot. The original master plan got the green light back in 2019 for 950 homes. Phase 1 wrapped up early this year, with 211 affordable units now managed by the Guinness partnership. Council officers praise the design and say the taller buildings up to 16 stories fit well overall. They note the plans will revive land empty for over 20 years and deliver 415 affordable homes, making up 35% by habitable room. Phase 2 includes detailed plans for 336 homes and 4 blocks, plus outline approval for 629 more. It also features a gym, cafe, shop, community space, and better routes for pedestrians, cyclists,
