94. Emotional Intelligence - A Great Predictor Of Your Success

Emotional intelligence is a term that we come across from time to time but don't necessarily think about daily. However, you will know it when you come across someone who is really lacking it.
Emotional intelligence/Emotional quotient (EQ) is often cited by Inc, Forbes and other business publications as a greater predictor of success than IQ. Yet the default way of thinking is that the smartest person will be the one that finds success. The good news is that EQ can be grown whereas IQ is fixed. Emotional intelligence is your ability to recognize and understand emotions in yourself and others and your ability to use this awareness to manage your behavior and relationships.
As your EQ grows, you will find that you are better able to interact, understand, and impact people. In this episode, we go into what Emotional Intelligence is, how to grow yours, what it will do for you, and also some key questions to help you assess yours.
