About this episode
We always get asked in New York City what do you do, what do you do on the side, what are your passions, what do you like to do, no really, what do you like to do.
I met Trey Hill previously as a security guard at one of my favorite vintage, buy, sell, trade, resellers at the Bushwick Beacon’s Closet where in the Covid-19 pandemic, we had to wait in line before we could get in because there was a capacity for the amount of people who could shop in the store. It was Winter 2021,’ snow was still on the ground, and the line to get in was compared to as waiting in line to get into one of Bushwick’s favorite clubs such as Mood Ring or Bossa Nova.
The NYTimes wrote a piece on where to meet people was in line getting covid 19 tests because the line was so long and people were waiting for hours. This was the same difference but we got to know each other not by same symptoms of the virus but symptoms of complimenting each others style.
I met Trey Hill after waiting in line for 1 hour but I was next up to go into the store. I see Trey Hill’s stylish fit and I immediately had to compliment him.
I had to ask about his fit and then after I asked if I could take a film photo of him. Who would have thought it lead to a brand new friendship.
Please Trey Hill welcome to Wear Many Hats Podcast.
