About this episode
郡山市出身の児童文学作家の菅生浩さんの小説『巣立つ日まで』を読みました。1950年代の前半、郡山市で中学生男子を過ごした作者の半自伝的小説なのか、少年の心情がリアルに描かれている小説でした。また当時の郡山市の風景がリアルに描かれていました。登場人物たちも魅力的です。1976年に少年ドラマシリーズでドラマ化されたようですが、かなり原作を改変していることがわかりました。この小説、再評価されて欲しい欲しい作品ですね。
