『海を渡った幕末の曲芸団 高野広八の米欧漫遊記』宮永孝著（1999年）を読みました。幕末に日本で始めて欧米に曲芸団を率いて興行で出かけた高野広八さんについての本です。現在の福島県飯野町の出身の人物。一般人としてはじめてパスポートを持って海外に出かけた人だそうです。３年間の旅でさまざまなものを観て日記に残しております。恥ずかしながら、そんな先輩がいるのぜんぜん知りませんでした。とても面白かったです。
