89. Explore, Create and Play with Charlotte Ellis from Seasons: A Tour and Talk
About this episode
Today we have an Outdoor Classrooms Tour and Talk with Charlotte Ellis all the way from the UK representing her program called Seasons. In this episode, we discuss, the mission of Seasons and how their programs are reconnecting people with nature to benefit holistic development, health, and well-being. In our discussion, we talk about the importance of how the act of connecting to our natural world and giving our children fun experiences in nature also encourages care for our planet and building a sustainable future for our children.
Charlotte Ellis created her nature-based program called Seasons in 2022. As a mum of 4, Charlotte found that there were few outdoor play program opportunities for early years in her local area. Therefore, she decided to set up a playgroup and named it Seasons. This group grew as Charlotte began offering early years nature play classes and outdoor sessions in a community garden that she and her family developed and designed. Seasons continues to grow and hosts large community and family events across Leeds, England, as well as nature art, craft, and wellbeing workshops.
This episode includes a visual tour which is included in the CIRCLE Membership.
