883. Bible Study: Zechariah 5 (The Scrolls, A curse, Babylon symbology!)

0:00Chapter 5 from the book of Zachariah. First, let's pray. Dear Lord, please let the Holy Spirit give me the right words, give us wisdom, understanding of the words that you gave to Zachariah. We ask this in Jesus' name. Amen. So, this is titled the Flying Scroll. It's a very short chapter, but I don't think we're going to be able to get into Chapter 6 yet, because there's so much in this chapter. I'm going to read through it first, and then I will go through the commentary. So, Chapter 5, I looked again and there before me was a flying scroll. He asked me, what do you see? I answered, I see a flying scroll, 20 qubits long, and 10 qubits wide. So, it is that measurements about 30 feet long and 15 feet wide. So, this is huge. And he said to me, this is the curse that is going out over the whole land for according to what it says on one side.

1:08Every thief will be banished, and according to what it says on the other, everyone who swears falsely will be banished. The Lord Almighty declares, I will send it out, and it will enter the house of the thief and the house of anyone who swears falsely by my name. It will remain in that house and destroy it completely, both its timbers and stones. I think there's a lot of symbolism here. Then there's another segment called the woman in the basket. Then the angel who was speaking to me came forward and said to me, look up and see what is appearing. I asked, what is it? He replied, it is a basket. And he added, this is iniquity of the people throughout the land. Then the cover of a lead was raised and there in the basket sat a woman.

2:12He said, this is wickedness, and he put her back into the basket and pushed its lead cover down on it. Then I looked up and there before me were two women with the wind in their wings. They had wings like those of a stork, and they lifted up the basket between heaven and earth. Where are they taking the basket? I asked the angel who was speaking to me. He replied to the country of Babylonia, to build a house for it. When the house is ready, the basket will be set there in its place. And that's the end. So three minutes, but there's so much to talk about. Let's start back up at the top. Actually, maybe I will read chapter 5's Bible commentary first, and then I'll get into my reflection on it.

3:15So let's see if questions and answers are, what is the meaning of this flying scroll? This vision suggests that the news of God's coming judgment was for all to see in here, like a huge billboard in the sky. God was announcing swift and certain judgment. Which land did God curse? The land of the Israelites. It's possible to see this as a judgment not only on Zacharias contemporaries, but also on all those who break God's law, according to Galatians chapter 3, verse 10. Why picture wickedness as a woman? The people of God are often portrayed in the feminine gender, particularly in their relationship to God. So it is not surprising for their unrighteousness to be personified here as a woman. This was a literary tool meant simply to illustrate the wickedness of the people, both men and women. Okay, I have a different interpretation of it, and I will give you supporting documentation for why I believe it's different.

4:20I believe this is spiritual. It's not just that it's a feminine gender. There's more to it than that. So then the question is, who were these two women? That these women had wings, suggests that they were angelic beings. Human agents, such as the Babylonians, were not the only ones carrying out God's purposes. There were also divinely chosen agents involved. Okay, then another question. Why set the basket down in Babylonia? The Hebrew word translated Babylonia is shinar. The area where the human race had proudly rebelled against God at the Tower of Babel, from Genesis chapter 11 verses 1 through 9. Taking the wickedness back to its roots may suggest that sin will finally be banished so that righteousness can reign. Yes, I agree with that.

5:22So that covers everything that the Bible, the study Bible has. Now let's get into a lot more, and so first of all, it's a scroll that's going about in the air, and it has judgments on it. There's two judgments basically, and it's a curse. It's called a curse in verse 3. It says it's a curse. And it's going to the people basically who steal and lie. And it says, let's see, for every thief. Okay, so the thief comes to kill and destroy. Think about that, Satan. Okay, so Satan is the ultimate thief coming to kill and destroy. So this is the curse out of everybody who's connected with the enemy of God. It's those, the curse is going out over the whole land. Every thief will be banished. So anyone who is supporting the enemy will be banished. Then anyone who swears falsely, it says, buy my name. And if you look up, like buy my name, it's considered blasphemy, but it's also a designation of God.

6:43But not God. Think about that. If someone is swearing falsely by my name, they're using the name of God, but it's not really God. It's a fake God. It's something that they are deceived by the enemy who is putting forth a God who isn't a God. So this is saying that those people false religions that believe in a false God will be banished and they are connected with the thief, the enemy. So this is something from the evil ones who rebelled against God. And that's what this curses, this flying scroll is saying that these people will be banished. Those who under idolatry over and over and over again in the Bible, it tells us about worshipping false gods. And we're going to get into even Jesus' words about this too. So not only is the scroll referenced here, but it's also referenced in Ezekiel, and it's also referenced in the book of Revelation.

7:50Now the scroll is a curse here, and this specific curse is about two, it's against two different things, unlike the scrolls that are in Ezekiel and Revelation. So this is just a, this is like false, it's basically false gods, like anybody who worships false gods, this is judgment that's coming on those people. Though in the book of Ezekiel, he's given a scroll and he's told to eat it, and then he's told to speak to the Israelites about this. John in the book of Revelation is also given a scroll, but he is told to speak to all others besides Israel. So they are each given different communities that they are supposed to speak to, and they are supposed to share the prophecy with, with those people. So the book of Ezekiel delivers a two-part message during the Babylonian exile.

8:51Initial dramatic prophecies of impending doom and the destruction of Jerusalem due to idolatry and social injustice, like not doing the right thing. So again, idolatry is key if you look, if you comprehend what's in the Bible all over, I mean that's like do not worship other gods, and there are other fake gods that are called God but are not God, and that is still happening today. Believe it or not, we think, oh everybody worships the same God, no they don't, and this is why it's so critical because this is a message for the whole entire world. It is written to Israel specifically, but this applies to all over because it says here, well the curse is going out over the whole land.

9:52So that every thief will be banished specifically to the land of Israel, but ultimately that's where God's going to reign from. So that means that those who worship the false gods are not going to be part of God's kingdom. That's why it's so important. So anyway, the book of Ezekiel, it's talking, it's after it talks about the doom and destruction of Jerusalem due to idolatry, it's followed by promises of future restoration, hope, and a new covenant, which ultimately is Jesus is that new covenant that will enable all people to reside if they accept Jesus, to reside in God's kingdom. It emphasizes personal responsibility, God's holiness, and the eventual return of his glory to a restored temple.

10:58So in chapters 1 through 24, Ezekiel is called to be a watchman using symbolic actions such as lying on a side for over a year and shaving his hair to illustrate the coming destruction of the temple in the city. Then in chapters 25 through 32, prophecies of judgment against surrounding nations such as tire and Egypt for their pride and for misleading Israel. Now this is important, these surrounding nations that God had told Israel to destroy when they moved into the land. They were told to destroy these people because these people worshipped other gods. God also told the Israelites don't intermary with them because they will lead you astray, which did happen. So there was a warning from God. It wasn't anything that had to do with racism like people like to talk about today, but it had everything to do with idolatry worshipping another God that's not going to bring them anything good.

12:02It was a loving warning from God. Don't mess with these people. They're worshipping other gods. They have idolatry. It will just be bad for you, basically. I mean, it was a word of warning. So in chapters 33 through 48, following the news of Jerusalem's fall, the message shifts to comfort highlights include the vision of the valley of dry bones, the restoration of Israel, the promise of a new heart and spirit, and a detailed vision of a future restored temple. Now, this is where God talks about the resurrection, where God reveals the resurrection to Ezekiel. And then symbolic and the symbolic imagery, the book is noted for its vivid symbolic language, including the throne chariot vision, which highlights God's power and omnipresence. The ultimate message is that despite Israel's rebellion, God will restore them to their land, renew their hearts, and dwell among them. So that's the summary of the Ezekiel prophecy.

13:16And Ezekiel, this was all started with a scroll, like he said, you have to tell this prophecy to the people of Israel. And it's because of Jerusalem. That's, it was relevant to them. So then John gets another vision that's very similar, and there's a scroll, and he's told to eat it too, and he's told to tell all people about it. So they had different audiences. So the book of Revelation is also an apocalyptic prophecy written by John, while he was on the island of Patmos, detailing Jesus Christ ultimate victory over evil. The end of human corruption and the establishment of a new heaven and earth. It features symbolic visions of the tribulation, the return of Christ, the final judgment, and the new Jerusalem. So again, there is, it's almost like there's a curse that comes out because as Jesus opens up the scrolls, opens up the seals, each seal that he breaks. Jesus is doing it. The lamb is breaking the seals. There is judgment that comes along with that. There is like a curse that comes along with it. It's not a good thing when those seals are broken, but it has, those seals have to be broken.

14:34And no one but Jesus could do that. So he's breaking the seals for essentially for the freedom and the restoration because, because of sin, I believe this was, this curse happened because if you go back to the Old Testament in Leviticus and Deuteronomy, you will find that there were blessings and curses that were set out for the people of Israel. Blessings, if they were obedient to God and curses, if they were disobedient to God, and it spells out, if you look carefully at that, it matches up with what's going to happen in the book of Revelation on the final judgment. When it's like everything God said is going to happen. It talks about boils festering on people. This is all the way back in the book of Deuteronomy in Leviticus. So God has, has forewarned everybody a long time ago.

15:36So people who, Jewish people who don't read the New Testament, they still have this information. They know the consequences because God gave it to them in the books of Leviticus and Deuteronomy. And so they know that. They know what the repercussions are for their, their actions. In the book of Revelation, which is in the New Testament, all the Christians who sometimes they just read the New Testament, they know now. They know when they read the book of Revelation, here's what's going to happen. And then when you read both, then you see, okay, God's consistent. He said the same thing from the beginning to the end. So the key aspects of Revelation prophecy, the seven churches, Jesus gives messages of encouragement and warning to seven specific churches, focusing on faithfulness. Well, I will add to that that when we went through that just last chapter of Zachariah, it was, there were two different things. One of the main messages was repentance for many of them.

16:48I mean, he said, good things. So we want to focus on the good things. But I think the important part is focusing on the repentance. It's great that we do good things, but we need to get rid of the other stuff too. And if we don't focus on repentance, on restoring our relationship, turning to Christ, if we don't focus on that, we can't just leave, God doesn't leave that in us. God doesn't leave sin unaddressed in us. He gives us the Holy Spirit to overcome sin. The power of God is stronger than the power of sin. The power of God through the Holy Spirit can defeat sin. But we have to recognize it and we have to repent from it. We have, we have free will so that we need to, we need to let God know in our hearts. We want it out of our life. We are willing to do that. Sometimes people just want to hang on to it. They want, they know that God is not happy with it, but they want to keep it. Well, that's unrepentance.

17:56And if we look at what Jesus warned was repent or there's consequences. So that's the same thing. And that's what Ezekiel was told. Everybody, I mean the consistent message throughout the Bible has been repent. Turn away from sin. Don't leave it in your life. And God gives us an advocate to help us get it out of our life. And God says, be holy because I'm holy. And anyway, okay. So symbolic judgments, the prophecy describes unfolding judgments on the world, including the seven seals, seven trumpets, the seven bowls of wrath, representing God's justice. It's justice being served like he is going to separate good from evil. He disciplines those he loves with the hopes that they will repent that they will turn to him. The book of Revelation talks about the tribulation in the Antichrist. A period of intense suffering is described featuring the rise of the beast or the Antichrist and a counterfeit trinity that opposes God.

19:07Now, what we have to be aware of that if we are unrepentant, if we don't ask God for help, for forgiveness, because we can't do it on our own power. It is true. We cannot get rid of sin on our own. Our natural fleshly self will be defeated if we rely on our own strength. What we need to rely on is the power that was given to us through Christ. Jesus gave us the Holy Spirit for a reason. And the reason is to overcome. And eventually, when Jesus returns, the Spirit within us will cause us to rise, to meet Him in the air, because at the resurrection, that's the way Jesus rose from the dead. It was the Spirit of God that rose Him from the dead. Because He died, He needed something to raise Him from the dead. And it was the Spirit within Him that rose Him from the dead.

20:13So this God's Spirit, the connection, that's what we, that's the beautiful thing. I don't know that we all fully comprehend. I know I don't fully comprehend, but I get a little bit, I understand a little bit of it. When we have the Holy Spirit within us, we are connected to God. We have that supernatural connection where God can work in our lives. And it's such a beautiful thing. That's what Jesus prayed for before He went on the cross. He said, Father, I pray that they are one in Spirit as you and I are one in Spirit. See, there's something supernatural about this. Like God in us, you know, like there is, there is something spiritual in it. It's not, and it is effective too. The Holy Spirit is powerful. I mean, we are talking about the power of God to deny that God's power cannot change lives is absolutely, that's unbelief.

21:19If you don't believe the Holy Spirit can change your life and can take sin out of your life, that means you are not a believer. You're not believing in the power of God. If you believe this will happen, but you have to surrender your free will to it. Sometimes people don't want to give up the stuff they like. That's sinful. And you just have to be willing to give it up. You have to be willing. Like God, I give you the access. God could take the access, but He doesn't force himself on anyone. He wants us to want that. He's not going to go against our free will. That's the beauty of how He designed us. He designed us so that we can choose to love Him or not. And He's not going to force us to that. He's not going to force anybody to love Him. He's not going to force anybody to obey Him. It's up to us. That's why we can't do it as much as we may want to do it for someone else. We can't.

22:25It has to be in an individual decision with God about this. So let's go on to more about the book of Revelation, the second coming, Jesus returns in power and glory, not as a humble servant, but as a warrior king to defeat evil and judge the world. I've heard a lot of people say, well, the God of the Old Testament was very wrathful, but Jesus is all about love. And that is true. He came for the sinners. But people are going to be shocked when Jesus returns because that that He's still the lamb, but He's not coming with, I mean, He's still his love, but it's love and righteousness. He's coming to defeat evil and judge the world. So we should have a very correct understanding of God and not, you know, just think, well, Jesus is a teddy bear and He's not going to, you know, go again. He's not going to go against me.

23:28Well, if I have an unrepentant heart, he will judge that. So it's, it's important to get right with God. The final victory in new creation, Satan and his followers are defeated. So we know in advance that everyone who relies on Satan, all these like Satan worshipers, I can't even believe that people worship Satan today, but they do. But they are going to be defeated. Like we may see them active right now and it seems like they're not, you know, that they're fine and they can have whatever powers they have, because they do have a certain level of power. But ultimately they're going to be defeated. So these poor people are deceived by the enemy and they don't realize the destruction that they are facing and the agony and the torture that will be coming if they don't turn to God before Jesus returns.

24:35But Satan and his followers are defeated, leaning leading to the millennial reign of Christ. That's that thousand years, the great white throne judgment and the creation of a new heaven and a new earth where God dwells with humanity. That's the ultimate right there is we will be at the end of all of this. We definitely have a thousand years to go, but at the end of all that after judgment, we will be living forever in the presence of God on a new heaven and a new earth. A lot of people just talk about going to heaven. Well, that's kind of like the interim stage, but the eventual outcome is a new earth. It's going to be like this, but not broken and there's no death. It's going to be lush. It's going to be like the Garden of Eden was described. We only have glimpses of this. There's going to be this like new Jerusalem that comes out just the city itself. I've talked about this before, but it's about 1600 feet wide 1600 feet tall.

25:47It's about if you want to get an idea of it, that's about half the size of the United States from east to west. This is going to be the new Jerusalem, the city of Jerusalem. It's going to be as tall as it is wide. This is going to be something like we have never seen before. The only way that John described it was with semi-precious jewels are precious stones. I don't know if that's literal or that was the only way that he could describe how glorious and beautiful it was, but that is what God has in store for his children. His children who turned to him and say, I reject the enemy. I reject your enemy. I don't want any of that enemy in me. I don't want that sin in me. I want your kingdom. I want to be with you in the future. I mean, that is what God is looking for. He is looking for who loves him back. Jesus sacrificed his own life so that we could be in the kingdom. But Jesus sacrifice was for all people. It doesn't matter if you're in Israelite or if you're some other from some other nation.

27:02His sacrifice is for all the people who died from the beginning of creation, all the people who died today, all the people who died in the future. Jesus sacrificed because he is the son of God. He was the only one who could do that for us because he was sinless. Everything else is sinless. Just like Jesus said, why do you call me good? He was talking in the Pharisees, I believe. He said, the only one who is good is God. Jesus is the son of God. He was good. He was the only one who could do that for us. That's why people are thankful to Jesus because he did that. But we have to think about this. A couple things that I think sometimes churches don't mention. That does not mean that everyone is going to be saved. So why? Because Jesus did it for everyone. Well, because of our response, how do we respond to it? We can reject that. And we can say, I don't need you.

28:05And we can just go on our own way completely with lacking in power and to overcome anything. Like we will just be defeated. If we rely on ourselves, we that we essentially are making ourself a God. Like we're saying we don't need God. We don't need the creator. We don't need the one who made the earth. I mean, that's ridiculous. When we're talking about these spiritual things, the only way to overcome this is through Jesus. Jesus said, I am the way the truth in the life and no one comes to the Father except through me. So if we reject the son of God, we do not get into the kingdom. So all of the religions who reject the deity of Jesus Christ, all people who reject the deity of Jesus Christ will not be in God's kingdom. It was stated from, I mean, all throughout the Bible. And I know this is uncomfortable for people. But see, God says, see, if you seek me, you will find me.

29:14So if this is concerning to you or to anyone you know, seek God, he will be found. He's not trying to hide from anyone. He's right there. But you have to want to get to know him. You have to want to be in his kingdom. There's, I don't even know how to better say it. But it's very concerning because there are these angelic beings like this chapter talks about that mess with people's mind that tell people that there's another way besides Jesus. And there isn't. And it's concerning that people don't take this seriously. And I need to move on because I don't know where I'm going with this. But anyway, let's get back to the scripture. So there's these, there's these flying scrolls. There's curses and it's like I said, this is about idolatry and swearing falsely. There's a lot of people who will, you know, swear by the name of God, but they're not talking about the true God.

30:27And God also said, you know, not to ever swear by his name either that all we should do is answer yes or no. Anything else is is something from the evil one, I believe. So this woman in the basket was very interesting because and being sent to Babylon Babylonia because I believe that this woman in the basket is actually Babylon, the prostitute on the beast in the book of Revelation in chapter 17. There is, it talks about Babylon again and it talks, it talks about her as a woman. And I believe that this is, it says the name Revelation 17.5 says the name written on our forehead was a mystery Babylon, the great, the mother of prostitutes and of abominations of the earth.

31:28That's what Babylon is, the great mother so that she has this female personification. Like I said, I, you know, the study Bible said, just said like they were a lot of cities were talked about in a feminine gender, which is true because they talk about like virgin Israel and virgin, you know, like daughter. I mean, it talks about that, you know, in a, it throughout scripture. I agree with that. However, I think there is more to this. So Babylon is considered the mother of prostitutes. I'm going to make a connection that has existed from ancient civilization and might be very interesting to you if you have not heard this before, but the great mother of prostitutes. So what does a prostitute do? She is not married to a husband. She has multiple partners. So this is symbolically idolatry. So God is the husband. And this is the great mother of prostitutes. So all people who, who are in idolatry, who believe other religions.

32:39They are the prostitutes. They are seeking other gods. And they are considered the abominations of the earth. It's a pretty strong language. It's not my language. It is God's language. Then the other thing is the basket. So obviously putting a woman in a basket that's kind of like, it's all symbolic, right? And at the same time, there are these angelic beings, are these quote women with wings. Now usually angels are described as men, but and I didn't look up the actual Hebrew to see if this was correct or if it was a translation issue. I don't know if it's that significant anyway. Maybe it is. So there were two women with wind in their wings. Now usually angels are referred to as men throughout the Bible. Only in our depictions are they most oftenly shown as women. But in this chapter, which I probably need to look at it. So that's going to take me a second just to look up to see the original Hebrew word for this because I want to make sure it does say women. And because it, I think it is probably significant. And I can understand why it would be women when and you will probably see to, but I just want to make sure that it says there were two women.

34:01And I looked and there were two women and it's Isha, which says the, okay, according to Strong's, it's it's I S S a and it's pronounced. I'll give you the pronunciation. And the translation of that is wife, woman, one married, female or miscellaneous. So it's a woman, a wife or a female. So it is talking about two women in this vision. So there's two women with wind in their wings. And like the study Bible says, I agree with us part that I think it is probably angelic beings. And it is symbolic because this is a vision that he's seeing. And there's a woman in a basket. Like I said, I think it's probably Babylon, the woman.

35:01And that gets taken to Babylonia. That makes sense. I mean, doesn't it? And let's see. So this basket. So what is a basket? A basket typically holds something. And often in the Bible, a basket holds bread. What is bread symbolic of Jesus, the word of God, the nutrition, the spiritual nutrition that we get through bread, the symbolic symbolic. I mean, bread gives us nutrition. And if Jesus is the bread of life, then when we, like Jesus said, eat, eat my flesh and drink my blood was talking about the bread, the bread of life. When you do that. So there is a spiritual significance of that. And so there's this woman in a basket. So could perhaps this is my own theory or understanding of this could this woman be it says in here that this is iniquity, that this is wickedness, but she's personified.

36:11It's personified as a woman. And bread is usually in a basket. But instead of the bread of life, there's wickedness in this basket. So I think this is this is the symbolism that I'm seeing at least is that this bread with the woman in there is iniquity is sin is all these things opposite of the bread of life. It is being taken away to Babylonia. And I do think it's probably the mystery Babylon is this woman in the basket. And then here's why here's another thing in Revelation chapter 17 verse 16. Now this is all symbolism again. It says the beast in the ten horns you saw will hate the prostitute. Now the prostitute is mystery Babylon. Remember she's the mother of all prostitutes. So the beast in the ten horns you saw will hate her. They will bring her to ruin and leave her naked. They will eat her flesh and burn her with fire.

37:21So wickedness. I mean the beast is wicked. But and just like Jesus gives us the bread of life and says to eat it. This on the other hand is eating her flesh wickedness and iniquity. But they're turning against her like they eat from the same basket. But they are turning against her and they are going to burn her and destroy her. So eventually I mean this is all symbolism but this beast is Satan driven. The ten horns are powers of people on the earth at that time. There's like kings or rulers or strengths or powers. So it's it's a Satan empowered an alliance of rulers on the earth that will hate whatever this prostitute represents and that talks about a city. There's a certain city that they hate and they're going to destroy because it is also it is I think it's it's spiritual. It's a city.

38:25And it's more than a city. It's a spiritual entity and I'm going to get into that now that comes back from the beginning of creation. So again why are women used in this? Well we have to go back to ancient civilization and let's look up. This is from the Bible. I'm not making this up. Ishtar is is about is written about the Bible. Inana is written about the Bible. Ashira is also written about in the Bible. Remember there were Ashira poles that people set up and started worshipping this. Now I'm going to read about them. And and then maybe you will you will like make the connection here. But that's this is again I think this is spiritual. So ishtar was an Akkadian or Babylonian goddess and inana was the Sumerian goddess and they are essentially the same deity.

39:35The primary Mesopotamian goddess of love sex fertility and war while inana or ishtar are focuses on passionate duality love and war. Ashira is a butter west Semitic mother goddess yet all three share roles as powerful way to hear this quote queen of heaven figures. So queen of heaven if you recall in the Bible it talks about people baking goods for the queen of heaven. I mean to Moses mentioned in God's temple where he gets really upset I think that might be in the book of Ezekiel where he shows on that but there is like there are offerings you can probably search queen of heaven and find it in the Bible. So is this because they were defined these these entities which I believe are fallen angels that are that are liars they are the thief they are liar saying they are God and appearing to people ancient people and deceiving them the thief comes to destroy.

40:57But I believe these things are our spiritual entities that are responsible for all these different religions that are not the true religion and they are spiritual entities that come from the heavenly realms just like Ephesians 612 says that we wrestle not against flesh and blood but against the powers and this spiritual the principalities in the heavenly realms and the dark forces. So it's these things in the heavenly realms that rebelled against God they were created beings but they wanted to be God therefore when they came to earth they deceived human beings to hurt God I mean essentially to hurt God they wanted to be worship but also they just wanted to destroy what God loves and God loves people and God wants people in his kingdom. And so they're coming to separate us from God. So going back to this queen of heaven is written in the Bible so it's not mythology this is written in the Bible.

42:02Key commonalities between inana ishtara and ishtara queen of heaven slash divine power all three hold immense power in their respective pantheons inana our ishtara is explicitly called quote the queen of heaven. And ashera held a high foundational status as mother of the gods fertility in life they are all associated with fertility life and the protection of civilization deception complex dual nature inana ishtara famously combines the contradictory roles of love sexuality with warfare and destruction. While ashera is more motherly she is often linked to the protective and life giving powers associated with nature how many people do we have that worship nature but they don't worship the true God think about that so ashera is probably behind that connection to nature slash symbols they are closely connected to the natural world inana our ishtara is symbolized by the lion.

43:14Is that kind of a mock to Jesus Venus or morning or evening star so and the eight pointed star so those are the connections to ishtara and inana central fusion inana is Sumerian and ishtara is a cadian were merged as they represented the same functions in different cultures. So you have to ask yourself different cultures started seeing this deity you started worshipping this it's not a deity but this I don't know what you want to call it fallen angel and and so they they saw these same things and they're like hey we both worship the same thing let's just combine this you know it's kind of like so if this happened it in different cultures in different places but they were worshipping the same thing and it's not guys. They had to have seen something I don't think they were foolish archaic unintelligent people back then I think people have always been the way we are today which doesn't say a lot I mean we're not all that intelligent when you think about the spiritual realm we just don't know it but you see something that you know what if these fallen angels came and showed great powers and they're like supernatural things that nobody else could do they're like you know like wow look at that you know and then they start worshipping this thing.

44:43So it's a huge deception that the fallen angels did to mankind and there's further support to this too but anyway Ashira or Canaanite shares similar fertility mother characteristics with other near Eastern goddess near Eastern goddesses that were sometimes syncretized with inana or ishtar such as as starte. So the key differences the focus ishtana and ishtar is more associated with intense sometimes chaotic romantic love and destruction and political war. Do we perhaps have any of that spiritual influence in our world today? Romantic love and destruction chaotic romantic love and destruction political war and this is intense kind of sounds like there's night be some spiritual force when it says we wrestle not wrestle not against flesh and blood and this is what we're seeing in our world today.

45:47So then the other one is the role Ashira is more often recognized as a cosmic mother figure associated with the sea trees and wild animals similar to Gaia or Ray rather than a warrior deity. So again I've seen this like Gaia GAA I've seen that circulating on YouTube and other social media and it's like this mystical kind of I don't know religious thing but warning it looks like Ashira is behind it so it's another false belief that's out in the world even today. I think all these like strange gods from beforehand were you know long gone but they're not they're they're here and anyway so now here is what Jesus said and this is this is something to meditate on and pray about.

46:51This is from John chapter 10 verse let's see let's just start at verse 31 and I'm going to read for a bit and then talk about it. So again his Jewish upon it picked up stones to stone him but Jesus said to them I have shown you many good works from the father for which of these do you stone me. We are not stoning you for any good work they replied but for blasphemy because you a mere man claim to be God. Jesus answered them is it not written in your law I in here's the quotation from the law I have said you are gods. If he called them gods to whom the word of God came and scripture cannot be set aside what about the one whom God says set apart as his very own and sent into this world.

47:56Why then do you accuse me of blasphemy because I said I am God's son. Okay I've heard before people say that did Jesus ever claim to be God did you know right here he's saying I am God's son and then he says do not believe me unless I do the works of my father. But if I do them even though you do not believe me believe the works that you may know and understand that the father is in me and I in the father. This is again what Jesus prayed before he died that all of us could have that to could have that relationship like he has with the father. So this this part is like this whole thing about like I have said you were gods that is a reference to Psalm 82. So I will read through that now Psalm 82 is called a Psalm of ASAF you have to know who ASAF was he was a seer he was a prophet he was a prophet who advised King David.

49:04He spoke with God he received revelations from God and yes he wrote songs but that's not necessarily what I'm talking about his songs are prophetic. Now here is is a short one Psalm 82 is only eight verses long here's what it says God presides in presides in the great assembly he renders judgment among the quote gods. How long will you defend the unjust and show partiality to the wicked defend the weak and the fatherless uphold the cause of the poor and the oppressed rescue the weak and the needy deliver them from the hand of the wicked the quote gods no nothing they understand nothing they walk about in darkness all the foundations of the earth are shaken. I said you are quote gods you are all sons of the most high but you will die like mere mortals you will fall like every other ruler rise up oh God judge the earth for all the nations are your inheritance.

50:22So the key thing here is this statement but you will die like mere mortals you will fall like every other ruler so these little G gods are not human beings but they are they are told you are going to die like mere mortals. It sounds like he's perhaps talking to the angels in heaven are some some being in heaven and and it says that you are all sons of the most high like God gave them a certain level but they are not they are not gods they're like little G gods and I was going to look at what the actual word that was used for these these gods. In Hebrew so they do not know okay so it doesn't say that these gods want to see what it says renders judgment among the gods so what is that called of the rulers but it's called Elohim and that's that is used like Elohim is the plural of rulers judges divine ones angels gods.

51:40God's god goddess god like or it could be in the true God but here so there is some like maybe because of their abilities that God gave them they aren't the God but they were created by by God and and there's a little bit more of an explanation like I certainly don't understand all of this but this is like in the presence of God. And and this was also mentioned in the book of Job where God was there and then Satan was there and angels were there and they were talking about Job. I mean that's like the first scene if you want to go into the the book of Job the first chapter it explains about about this I mean like there are these these heavenly realms these councils these this law actually the laws that we established are really based on what God gave like God is the the one who set these laws that we actually started with here on this earth it was God they came from God they've been distorted in the earth and gods I'm sure not happy about that but originally they came from God.

52:56So I did mention about blessings and curses on this scroll but if you want to read that I'm not going to go through all of this but like I said it matches up with the judgments that are given in revelation but if you want to read it. You can go to Deuteronomy 28 and also Leviticus 26 verses 1 through 13 and Deuteronomy chapter 7 verses 12 through 24. A lot of this is about idolatry and that's the that's one of the other main themes that I see throughout the Bible is to stay away from idolatry. So I did look up you know driving out the nations and intermarrying okay so this this might be significant to us in this time in 2026 and I think it may perhaps be relevant. So Deuteronomy chapter 7 verse 1 and also it references Exodus 34 verses 10 through 16.

54:03This is where it originally came from God was saying to the Israelites obey what I command you today I will drive out before you the Amorites, Canaanites, Hittites, Parasites, Highvites and Jebusites. Be careful not to make a treaty with those who live in the land where you were going or they will be a snare to you. Break down their altars, smash their sacred stones and cut down their Ashira peoples. Remember we just talked about Inana, Ishtar, Ashira. These these lands these people in these lands were worshiping those other gods. They had and it said the very next sentence says do not worship any other God for the Lord whose name is jealous is a jealous God. Be careful not to make a treaty with those who live in the land for when they prostitute remember Babylon's the mother of prostitutes when they prostitute themselves to their gods and sacrifice to them they will invite you and you will eat their sacrifices.

55:18And when you choose some of their daughters as wives for your sons and those daughters prostitute themselves to their gods they will lead your sons to do the same. So this was the warning that God gave the Israelites don't mix with these people they are worshiping other gods they are probably worshiping these like queens of heaven. And he gives the all of these different territories and I found it interesting Deuteronomy 7 verse 1 when the Lord your God brings you into the land you are entering to possess and drives out before you many nations. The Hittites, Gurgishites, Amorites, Canaanites, Parasites, Highvites and Jebusites 7 nations stronger larger and stronger than you. And when the Lord your God has delivered them over to you and you have defeated them then you must destroy them totally make no treaty with them and show them no mercy.

56:28So yeah if these are spiritual entities do the spirits continue to influence people in these areas that you know are mentioned here the Hittites, the Gurgishites, Amorites, Canaanites, Parasites, Highvites and Jebusites. This is where God is saying we are going to defeat them don't make a treaty with them. I think about this treaty that is spoken of through Daniel the prophet that a covenant that is made with many for a week but then it is broken in the middle I wonder if it could be with any of these areas like Israel going to make a treaty with them. He says make no treaty with them like is that going to be like what brings on God's judgment what brings on all of these things from the seals and the trumpets just like no no no I warned you about these foreign worshipping people like do not do that.

57:34He says show them no mercy do not intermarry with them. So I wanted to see like where were the Hittites you know where did they live and that is Anatolia modern day Turkey. So that's you know just something Turkey factors into here then I was like where did the Gurgishites live where they were in the central part of western Israel. And that's where it says that they were likely in the region of Canaan so it was a certain area within Israel so you can see these people are probably still scattered among in Israel. Now the Amirites where did they live they were in Syria west of the Euphrates and the Arabian desert before expanding into Canaan and Mesopotamia which is modern day Iraq. So all of this area that's involved with the wars going on right now could it be that it's these ancient entities that are still influencing people because our battle is not against flesh and blood.

58:43People it's a spiritual battle and are these spiritual battles still happening today I tend to think they are. So where did the Canaanites live they the Canaanites lived in the southern Levant region of the ancient near east during the Bronze Age an area corresponding to modern day Israel Palestine Lebanon Jordan and coastal Syria. So think about that we've got the West Bank we've got Lebanon we've got Jordan and Syria and Israel so it's like within like they're scattered they're inside inside Israel and they believe they still are inside Israel. Okay the parasites they were in ancient Canaanite people who lived in the central hill county and open and fertile open unwalled regions of Canaan specifically south and southwest of Mount Carmel.

59:47Their name means villagers or dwellers in the open country indicates that they were rural farmers and herders rather than city dwellers. Then where did the high vites live they were a Canaanite people also who primarily inhabited the northern mountainous regions of Palestine specifically around Mount Lebanon and Mount Hermone. Stretching towards Hameth they also occupied central areas including the city of Shechem and the region of Gibyan just north of Jerusalem. And then where did the Jebusites live the Jebusites were a Canaanite tribe that inhabited the one fortified hill the city of Jebus which is modern day Jerusalem. They controlled the central mountain region specifically around Mount Zion and the surrounding hills from the Bronze Age until their defeat by King David who made the city his capital. So this is all of this is like the Middle East and is what is I think affecting everything today.

1:00:57Now this was like lead is something interesting so the woman in the basket has a lead cover but when I looked up okay lead meant lead and lead is symbolic of something. So we're going to go down that path but also the cover when I looked up that actual word in the Hebrew it was it didn't mean like cover or lead. It was it talked about a round loaf and so that's what led me to the thinking that perhaps the woman is representative of iniquity the loaf. The loaf of iniquity or wickedness just you know as a the opposite of Jesus being the bread of life so that's kind of where that came from in my thoughts where I thought that the bread analogy in the basket because a basket carries bread.

1:01:57So then this this lead lead is used in the Bible and it it's certainly you know how is lead refined lead is refined from raw or are scrap mostly batteries primarily through a pyro metallurgical process heating and skimming to achieve greater than 99% purity. The process involves drawing to remove impurities like copper and iron softening to remove and antimony slash arsenic and decilvering to recover precious metals often using zinc that's from Britannica. So lead is refined by heating and skimming and so this is essentially what God is going to do in his final judgment it's going to be by fire he judged by flood the first time he's judging by fire the second time.

1:03:00And when he talks about this lead cover this lead covers covering wickedness in an order to eradicate wickedness is going to go through the fire and maybe some will be purified as it that's what he's going to do to the nation of Israel some will be purified through the process process and others will be destroyed and and you know God disciplines those he loves he's hoping that they will will come back to him. So I was curious just I did I wanted to find like the support of this I was like well who discovered lead you know like where did it come from because I'm trying to find a connection you know it's from the earth but who actually figured out what lead could be used for. So here's what I found lead was not discovered by a single person it has been known and used for over 8,000 years you know if that's true whatever with evidence of its use dating back to ancient civilization. Now listen to this like the Egyptians Babylonians and Romans who used it for pipes coins and statues the oldest known lead object is a small statue from Anatolia dated around 6500 BC.

1:04:19Okay let's just look at this so who was using lead back then you know it's not discovered by a certain person but we've got the Egyptians what did they do they had many gods they worshiped multiple gods we also have those pyramids like how did they make the pyramids how did the ancient people that time without equipment that we have today how did they build those pyramids then you have the Babylonians are mentioned they had lead. And so Babylon I mean we know so much throughout scripture how Babylon was like the center for like this chapter says iniquity and wickedness Babylon is modern day Iraq by the way. Then we have the Romans now the Romans were the this last empire it from the the vision that Daniel had not Daniel had but Daniel interpreted and multiple chapters in the book of Daniel talk about these four different kingdoms that would come before eventually Jesus returns.

1:05:30And you first had the Assyrians I guess the Assyrians then the wait now the Assyrians had already happened by the time of Daniel's exile into Babylon so it was the Babylonians was the first one in his visions that it was the kingdom of Babylon that was Nebuchadnezzar. And then after that came the needs and the Persians which would be modern day Iran they kind of they came up and they there was like some goodness in them because like Cyrus was the one who let them build their temple so they weren't an extreme enemy like today like Iran is to Israel today. And you know maybe maybe the regime that's in Iran right now may go away I don't know I mean I know the people want the Iranian people who are oppressed want to be freed from that regime and there are Iranians who have fled from that country to have a better life.

1:06:40And so the Iranian people are not the evil ones but it's just the the ones who are you know in the current seeking to kill and destroy just like Satan those are the ones who are not the good ones. And so anyway but we get into this this okay the the different kingdoms so it was the Babylonians then the Meads and the Persians and then it says the Greeks but what it and that's kind of the Mediterranean but what it it was the Greeks but it was also Anatolia it was Turkey what is this say the oldest lead object is a small statue from Anatolia dated around 6500 BC. So here we have this this you know third kingdom that was in Daniel's vision the Greek and the Turkey connection and then after that came the Roman and and that was the last kingdom but the last kingdom before Jesus returns is going to be a mixture it's going to be a divided kingdom.

1:07:55So it's not going to be it that was the you know the fourth kingdom was the Roman Empire but the Roman Empire brought into all of these like different gods and goddesses but again these are these are things these are countries that were against Israel. Egyptians they had them originally in slavery but they you know idolatry is certainly a factor Babylonians we just talked about Inana and Nishchar that came from I guess it was I forgot which one one of those two was what the Babylonians believed so they have other gods and then the Romans they had all these different gods the Greek gods and all of that they they had that going on and then you have Anatolia which is part of the Babylonians. So this is part of that kingdom that was also against so these are all like non god focused locations and and they had they were using lead and you may think well okay that doesn't really matter unless you heard about the book of Enoch which I know is not canonized it's not part of the Bible it was referenced in the book of Jude.

1:09:14But if you if you do get into it I want to just tell you I I was curious about the book of Enoch and I'm not basing all you know faith on it or whatever but I just wanted to say well what did it say does it contradict the Bible and not that we can believe everything that's in it but so I did skimmed over it I didn't spend a lot of time reading it like I do the Bible but here's something that's significant. The book of Enoch specifically chapter seven and eight describes fallen angels known as the watchers teaching humanity forbidden arts including metallurgy which is weapons and jewelry cosmetics sorcery astrology and divination led by Azazel and Shamha Zaya this knowledge corrupted mankind fostering extreme violence vanity and sexual immorality so these this is what the book of Enoch talks about these fallen angels the Bible supports that in revelation it says that Satan who's the dragon took his tail and swiped

1:10:36a third of the stars the stars are symbolic of angels in the book of Revelation and threw them down to the earth so the Bible supports what this says the Bible doesn't get into the detail what does God say about these things I mean at one time Israel did not have iron are tools like that like there's something in the Bible that I recall reading but I can't remember what part of the Bible but the Bible but the iron and tools that like came from like the land of the Philistines they were using that they had all that stuff but they didn't let the Israelites have it because they didn't want to rebel but it came from them it came from those countries or nations that God said to Israel wipe them out but these people had these weapons where did they get that from did they get that from something from the heavenly realm that had greater knowledge where the Egyptians able to make the pyramids because they were advised by some angelic fallen angel that had that those resources like how did these areas have this information that nobody else had just think about that and pray about that

1:11:55and there is a book that is that is referenced in the Bible like we can't we can't say that everything in here is true but just think about it all the things that God says are horrible that are bad that we should stay away from we're supposedly taught to human beings by fallen angels I'm going to read this again so the book of Enoch specifically chapter seven and eight describes fallen angels known as watchers teaching humanity for bin arts including metallurgy weapons and jewelry cosmetics sorcery astrology and divination led by a zezel and shem hasi this knowledge corrupted mankind for fostering extreme violence vanity and sexual immorality if you look at any of the like depictions of ancient Egypt think about all their heavy I make up on and all of their like like if you talk about cosmetics you it seems like it must have come from Egypt because everybody in in at least Hollywood's depictions I don't know that we necessarily have pictures back there but they're all heavily made up even the men were are shown with heavy make up on so is that the result of that?

1:13:17fallen angels just something to think about okay weaponry and metal working as zezel taught the creation of swords knives shields and breastplates he taught the creation he taught mankind about swords knives shields and breastplates think about that God is a God of love God is a God of peace who brings in strife who wants to destroy it's Satan and he's deceived manipulated whatever you want to say other fallen angels to do the same with him to join him in his battle against humans to destroy us beautification and vanity instruction and creating jewelry bracelets and using cosmetics like antimony or I make up for ornamentation magic and sorcery techniques involving charms spells and root cutting medicine or sorcery astrology and astronomy knowledge of the stars moon and sun signs forbidden knowledge divination

1:14:28augury which is interpreting omens and earth signs the influx of forbidden knowledge combined with the procreation of the giants or the nephilim resulted in widespread corruption that prompted God to initiate the great flood so the nephilim if you haven't heard about what they were I think it's Genesis chapter three where it talks about the sons of God now remember Jesus said scripture cannot be set aside and these apparent you know that some created beings were called sons of God those sons of gods in the heavenly realms took human women and procreated with them and the offspring that resulted were giants the Bible talks about people being maybe thirteen feet tall nine feet tall and that some of them has six fingers so they were not what God intended for creation but it did happen and apparently that is the reason behind the great flood

1:15:43and God it says that God found eight people that hadn't succumbed to this and that was Noah in his family that he put on the ark to give humanity a new start so he had to destroy the earth to get rid of what these fallen angels had corrupted on earth just like Satan at the very beginning deceived Adam and Eve and and you know sin entered into the world as a result of that then the fallen angels start doing this with people and then things get crazy and God has to flood the whole earth to get rid of it but then it also says that the Nephilim were there before the flood and afterwards so apparently this has happened again so I don't know but just these wild things that you would never think of but today it's almost like these things are being revealed to people even within government when they start talking about there's some strange stuff so anyway this is not just fantasy this is in the Bible

1:16:54it's talked about like I said Genesis chapter three talks about it the king of Og and Saigon it talks about in the Bible how his bed was either nine or 13 feet tall this is who David went against the Goliath the land of the Philistines had a lot of these giant people this is what all the people the tribes of Israel were afraid going into the Canaanite territories because they were giants and they said that we looked like the Israelites thought they looked like grasshoppers compared to these people they were so much bigger they were probably Nephilim that were living there that God said go wipe them out we just don't this stuff is not taught and but if you look into scripture you see there's evidence in it the Bible is true the Bible is real but people skim over some of these details and so you lose some of this but these these other books while we cannot believe all of what's in there it does make sense of what is written in the Bible so I think that really concludes everything I mean tying this all back to Zachariah we have the flying scroll we have you know curses for idolatry if people are wrapped up into these false religions that is from the enemy

1:18:14we see that these that the heavenly realms have have sent they have there has been some angelic beings coming to the earth it is it is written about in the Bible it's not a made up story they do exist and people are just ignorant because it's not something that you would go into a normal church and hear about but this is real this is true and we need to be aware of it and why should we be aware of it just that our relationship and our confidence and our security and our comfort all of that our peace everything we don't have anything to fear none of the stuff that I talked about even though it sounds like you know they're they're the supernatural entities are these heavenly entities that have different powers than we do if we have the Holy Spirit in us we are more powerful in fact in the end it says that do not know that we will judge the angels that's what it says I think it's somewhere what Paul wrote that and I can't remember what book it's in but you can look that up that we will judge the angels humans will judge the angels we don't have anything to fear when we have the Holy Spirit within us there is nothing to fear

1:19:35we have the authority and the power of God in the name of Jesus so if you have any fear make sure that you surrendered your life that you say that you invite God that you invite the Holy Spirit into your life that you believe in Jesus and you take action as a result of that our actions indicate whether we truly believe this or not and God is not after a religious person who checks all the boxes and say I go to church every Sunday and I give to the poor and that is I'm showing love I mean that's that's nice but are you submitted are you obedient to God obedience is really key because God is Lord of us and that's a struggle that every single human being will have because we don't want necessarily to have somebody ruling over us but we need to humble ourselves and say yes God you are good you are just and I want you to rule over me and I will submit to what you say I need to do

1:20:44and that's what God's looking for God is looking for people who are submitted to him who love him back Jesus said if you love me you will obey my commands so obedience is tied to love it's we can't just be religious obedient people and think that all of our good deeds get us into heaven no we have to recognize it was the son of God Jesus Christ who made it possible for us to be in God's kingdom but how do we respond to that what do we do in response to that that matters that's going to seal our destiny nobody can do it for us not any of our acts nothing but how do we respond to God so this is something if you found this beneficial please share this with other people because I think it's so important and there are things that in here that people don't talk about very often and so a lot of people are probably not aware of this but it's it's in the Bible it's true and I believe God wants us to know this so anyway I hope this was beneficial for you if it was please share this with other people
