About this episode
"The Super Mario Bros. Movie" is a great starter film for everyone to get into the franchise. The legacy has made it to the big screen in animation and they got it for the most part. I praise the film for Jack Black as Bowser, the best Bowser character you can get for $100 million. I also like how it brings nostalgia, making you want to dust off your SNES and start playing in front of your 50 inch curved flat screen that still has AV inputs. How times have changed. I wish the film could have had a better screenplay to add a bit more depth because I just don't want to see gameplay-esque scenes that pays reference to games such as "Mario Kart" but it is what it is. Great to look at, you get good laughs and that's pretty much it. I did enjoy it despite it's flaws, I just hope there's no sequel but the fact it's backed by not only Nintendo but Universal Pictures as well, the sky's the limit and fuck that shit.
