#71 - Three Alchemical Qualities for Success (Resilience, Utilization, Delayed Gratification)

What is success?

Many believe it's a certain size of business, bank account, notoriety, fame, or fortune.

While those things might be present, they are not in and of themselves success. They're the by-product of success.

Earl Nightingale stated, "Success is the progressive realization of a worthy ideal."

This is about as good as it gets for a definition.

Success is progressive. It's not an end point.

And it's realizing something that's worthy. Worthy of what? Worthy of YOU and investing your life in its pursuit.

Success is not an end game, it's a journey and adventure.

Properly understood, you never fully achieve success; and yet you do... when you're pursuing it correctly.

Secondly, if Nightingale is right (which I believe he is) you must pursue something worthy to be successful.

Something word trading your life for.

We all trade our life for something... make sure you trade your life for something worthy of your life.

Here's something to ponder…anything that can be lost or taken away has no true value. It has a USE value but no intrinsic true value.

The only thing that's of true and lasting value is that which is eternal.
