Hu Shih is a renowned Chinese author, philosopher and politician. He was born in the late Qing Dynasty, and went to America to study when he was young. He advocated the New Culture Movement, and helped mold the modern Chinese language. He supported Chiang Kai-shek's regime, and hoped for a "democratic China". In Mainland, he was condemned. In Taiwan, he was resented by Chiang Kai-shek. Today, let's discover the life of Hu Shih.
