Hi, I'm Danielle Robay, host of Bookmarked, the podcast by Reese's Book Club. And this week, we are talking about a monster. Or maybe the woman who refused to be one. I'm sitting down with Maggie Gyllenhaal to unpack her new film The Bride. And trust me, this isn't your grandmother's bride of Frankenstein. What I was more interested in was the monstrousness inside of each of us. You can spend your life running from those things. Or you can turn around and shake hands with them. Listen to Bookmarked, the Reese's Book Club podcast on the iHeart Radio app Apple Podcasts or wherever you get your podcast. Come check this.

Good morning. It's the day Ryan in the morning show. So you've probably heard us talk in about how we're on a construction right now. We got a brand new beautiful KWB studio in the works in the works. Now that's all fantastic, however, there's an issue. What? When Dave's in Colorado, I have to go through this maze of equipment to get him on from Colorado. And that equipment doesn't exist anymore because of construction. So that I have to go into an even bigger maze of equipment in a room that I don't think any of us even have access to. Only our engineers, but luckily I found someone this morning who does have access. And we go in there and we find the source that we need except for the source that Dave has doesn't exist anymore. So anyways, it's a lot of talk, radio talk that you're, it's complicated. But we're working on getting Dave on. He is supposed to be here today in call, but just broadcasting from Colorado. It's just that we're, you know, I got a caller engineer and let me tell you something. Engineers don't love being called at 6 a.m. in the morning.

They just don't love being called. Yeah. Like period. Yeah. So I am, I'm trying to avoid having to make that call. I tried texting first, but hopefully after we got done the next commercial break, we'll have Dave here. But anyways, good morning, you guys. Good morning. Good morning. Let's have a little bracket update with our road trip snacks. Brackets we're doing. Yeah. If you remember on our Instagram, we kicked off Monday with the 16. What we think are the ultimate road trip snacks, but there can only be one. Okay. Okay. Okay. We've been voting all week on our Instagram. You've been voting all week. It came down to we had eight yesterday. We had a peanut M&Ms versus trail mix. And I think I know surprise peanut M&Ms blew out trail mix. Good. Yeah. I want to find the percentage. Here we go. 69% of the vote. Okay. Not a complete blowout. There's a worse blowout in this bracket. I'm going to tell you right now. Okay. Pringles versus checks mix. That was very, very surprised by this. Like checks mix one, 58% of the votes. Okay. Pringles. Yeah. It's checks mix though. Cheks mix is like you only eat checks mix on a road trip. I guess you got a mix of everything.

And Christmas. We got rice crispy treats versus gardenos. And I was very surprised the day before when rice crispy treats. Beat out flaming hot Cheetos. But rice crispy treats has gone versus gardenos. Gardenos beat them. Okay. And then nerds, gummy clusters versus gummy bears and gummy worms. The tightest race we have had. Oh, my heart's going to break. 54% of people voted for nerds, gummy clusters. Oh, great. Okay. But did it narrow down further though? Yeah. I was going over yesterday's results. That's how we do this. So now we are down to the top four. Okay. So we are at P.D. M&M's versus trail mix. Okay. And Pringles versus checks mix. Okay. P.D. M&M's versus trail mix. No, no, no, that's wrong. I'm sorry. That was yesterday. Yeah. We are at P.D. M&M's versus checks mix and gardenos versus nerds gummy clusters. Oh, gardenos and nerds gummy clusters are like my top two. Those are the best ones. And I have been a fiend for the gummy clusters lately that I think that like if I eat them, I'm going to just get a tummy ache immediately.

So now I don't know which one I'll vote for. And we got like a nice little mix too. It's like the P.D. M&M candy versus checks mix, which I think is, you know, the assortment, the smorgasbord. Yes. The smorgasbord versus gardenos, which is like another smorgasbord of sorts versus the actual candy. Honestly. So you got like a mix of the types of snacks you got. Right. Well, checks mix and gardenos are cousins. Yes. I'll be interested to see if P.D. M&M's win because like P.D. M&M's are just P.D. M&M's. What's so special about P.D. M&M's that you eat them on a road trip? I don't know. I guess like M&M's are like the I only ever get M&M's as a snack on a road trip or for the movies. So it is very particular for me with M&M's. Yeah. So I could see that going farther to the top two. Yeah. But so all right. Still going to story right now. If you go Dave Ryan show, there's a poll. If you vote tomorrow, we'll have the top two. And then Friday, we're going to name the king ultimate road trip snack. Thanks to you. Right.

It's going to vote. Picture votes. And if you don't vote, you can't bitch. Yeah. Oh, I like that. Sticker. If you don't vote, you can't bitch. All right. Coming up on the day. Ryan. So we're going to do a little. You can't make this stuff up. There's a new study out there. And normally it's like, oh, so many people say that they can't go without doing this all day, whatever. Zero percent of people, zero percent, said that they could go a whole day without doing this. They could never either like zero or 100. There's always an in between. I have an idea, but I'm not going to guess. This is of students. Oh. So think about students. They can't go all day without doing this. Okay. Take a guess. Texas and let us know what you think it might be. We'll cover that next. 101.3 KDWB. You can't make this stuff up. Two, three, four. All right. I said it earlier. What do you think people students in particular can't go an entire day without doing? Drinking coffee.

I was going to say drinking water. Well, students don't care about water. That, I mean, both good guesses. But honestly, I would say that a lot of, yeah, I don't think they care about water. And I think a lot of people don't get into coffee till a little bit later in life. So that would surprise me. But no, zero percent of students say that they can go, they cannot go a day without social media. A day without looking at their phone. Wow. There we go. Yeah. Almost had it. But yes, without looking at their phone. And I mean, like, I would answer the same thing. Yeah. Let's be honest. What's the first thing we do? We make sure our phones on us at all times. Right. And not even just like students. Like, I, I'm sure my 66 year old mother couldn't go a full day without looking at her phone. Right. I don't think it matters. Like what age you are. I think everyone is now so attached to their phone. It's like the second you realize that maybe you don't have it in your pocket. You panic. I know that in schools, they're trying to stop people from being on, like at least in grade school, right?

Stop people from being on their phones. They have, we talked about yonder pouches where you put your phone in and you can't get it back to the end of the day. Kind of like had a comedy show. Yeah. But I know in college, at least as much as they tell you not to get on your phone, a lot of professors will be like, all right, you can look this up for your project or do a Kahoot. Remember Kahoot? Oh, I love Kahoot. No, I don't. What is Kahoot? It's like a virtual game that we all play. They'll put it up on the monitor and then you can like, your phone is your buzzer essentially on the website. And so that's becoming a lot more popular in college too. Right. Back in the day, we had actual hand buzzers. Well, Bailey knew what it was. I knew what it was because I've used it, but like I'm not in class. I didn't use that because yeah, back in my day, we have an overhead projector. Yeah. Oh my gosh. We used memory. Smart boards. Honestly, that doesn't surprise me though. And we can sit and like make fun of it. But like Bailey said, your your mother wouldn't be able to do that. Right. Yeah. I'm just thinking of David. I don't know if David go more than one hour without looking at his phone. He couldn't.

I think 30 minutes. I've told him before that I'm going to take his phone and lock it up. Yeah. When we're like during the show, he's usually decently under control with it. But after the show, anything could happen. No, absolutely. I could be having an intense conversation. And suddenly I see that man pick up his phone. You can be having a stroke. You can be bleeding on the ground. And his eyes, something glosses over in his eyes. And I can see his brain go to like, this is a funny real. Wait, was Jenny talking to me? Okay, hold on. Let's go back to what Jenny might have just. And then he goes, what was that? It was listening. And also, there's a new food trend called framble eggs. No. If you want to take a guess, it's pretty easy if you put framble together from two words. Two different kinds of eggs. What do you think it is? Fried and scrambled. Yep. Oh gosh. A mashup of both. They claim it's an improvement on both. It's obviously pretty simple to make. You melt some butter onto a skillet. And then you crack your eggs directly into the pan. Use spatula to break up the egg whites, move it around all that good stuff.

And then after a couple of minutes, you can use that, run the spatula through the yolks and let the eggs set. And then the idea is that they're less annoying to make than fried eggs. So it's like a mixture of fried and scrambled eggs. I actually kind of want to try that. Don't scrambled eggs. Don't you need something else to, don't you add in something else or that? A lot of people added milk. Yeah. That's what I used to do when I was younger. I don't anymore because I think it takes the flavor away from it. Sure. That's how I grew up. Yeah, that's what I thought. So now it's essentially a scrambled egg the way that they're explaining it. It's essentially just like a jostled egg. That's pretty much how I eat my scrambled eggs. But the thing is, is if you don't mix it up in a bowl ahead of time, you're not mixing the egg whites with the other part, the yellow part or the white part. The egg whites and the yolk. The yolk. Yeah, you got it. You got it. You're not mixing that up in the way that you would. So I don't think you're going to get it mixed like a scrambled egg. Okay. Okay. So anyways, give that a try. If you're looking for something to eat, you'll breakfast this morning. Okay.

No. All right. You want to hear what you want to hear for Singalong a song of the day here. You're going to text us in any kind of song that you think is going to hype you up this morning that you want to sing out at the top of your lungs. Go ahead and give us a text. Six five. Nope. That's our phone number. Give us a text. Five, three, nine, two, one. And we'll pick one. And if you have a random number calling you in the next 10 minutes, know that that could be us. Make it happy on. And so let's hear your Singalong song of the day. It's Dave Ryan in the morning show. And I think we're going to have Dave back in just a second. Yeah. Yeah, we'll see. Oh, Dave. Oh, yeah. I'm in Colorado. We've had some technical difficulties because you know, they've they've torn the radio station apart. And some of the buttons that we need to find the broadcast from Colorado. They sold them on Timo. So it's really interesting. I mean, you know, we get it was a great deal on buttons. Yep. But yeah, it took a little while to get connected. So here I am. Wow. Wow. Yay. We'll catch up.

We had a lot to catch up on. We'll catch up on stuff in a little while. But in the meantime, I think Jenny's got somebody on the phone for the Singalong song. We do. We have Kendra on the phone this morning. Morning. Kendra. Good morning. Oh, you're a ball. She's excited. How are you so awake so early? I work. Nice. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. It's, it's hump day. So halfway through. Hump day. Fabulous. I love that Kendra. What is the Singalong song of the day that you'd like to hear? So it's a bit of a throwback and kind of a slower song. But I feel like us millennials know it. We are going to sing it with our heart. It is never had a dream come true by S Club seven. Great choice. Oh, good choice. I love the song. Here we go. Singalong song of the day. Come check this. I heard and TikTok have come together to create something new. I love it. We're the world of TikTok meets your playlist. I mean, honestly, like, I might get in trouble for this answer, but I think it's like definitely happening in the WWE.

And yeah, we talk about our mistakes, too. They pulled me to the side and was like, hey, man, we got a call last night. And you can't be rolling around the city like this tonight for games. No, you know, doing this, doing whatever. And of course, family stories. And we're like, mommy, why did you miss that? Mommy, do you play basketball? Check out Game Recognized Game with Stuy and Miles on the I Heart Radio app, Apple Podcast, or wherever you get your podcasts. And it's S Club 7. What is that song from 1939 or something? Yeah, 1939 actually. That is crazy. Yeah, it was originally sung by Frank Sinatra. Frank Sinatra. Okay. I am out in Colorado. I had a couple of days off. I'll give you the rundown coming up. People have been so nice. It's like, you know, they know they came out here for my sister. My sister Vivian, my favorite sister. And she's been sick. And so she's moving out of her house and moving in with her daughter. And so, whole, let me tell you something. When you go through old people's homes,

the stuff that you find that's been sitting unused, untouched since like 1979 is like woof. So just warn you. Yeah, just wow. I'll tell you more about that coming up. How are you guys? Pretty good. Good. It's just in case you didn't know, Dave. We got some snow last night, which was a real bummer because we had such nice weather here on Sunday. And all of a sudden I was like, bam. There's that winter again. We told the bond that he has officially experienced fall spring. Yeah. Because I've been asking, remember I was like, is this yet? And you were like, no, not yet. There's going to be another snow storm. I hope this is the snow storm. I hope this is it. It's like one inch. But I feel like it's going to be more. I'm sorry. No. We have. We know we as Minnesotans, we know better than to get our hopes up on March 11th. We know better than to do this. It's like, okay, spring is here. Let's open up the patios. And then it's like, woof.

Nope. They're here in the snow again. So spring arrives in another week, 10 days away from now. Spring arrives when I learned a long time ago, just because the calendar says spring doesn't mean that spring is really here. Do I sound like I have a cold? Yeah. Yes. Yeah. I think you've got mold in the walls over there. I'm saying it right here. It started with before I left. On Friday, when I'm still in Minnesota, I got something. This is the worst cold I've ever had in my life. And I haven't gone to the doctor out here because I don't want to go to the doctor in Colorado. That's weird. So I will go when I come back tomorrow or Thursday. Why is it weird that their doctors in Colorado? Do they not have the same license? Does insurance work in other states? In Colorado? Yeah. Yeah, I guess not. Do they have all their teeth? All the doctors in Colorado? Do you hand them your insurance card? Do they make you write them a check? Or what? I don't know how it works. I haven't worked within the United States. You have to get different insurance if you go to a different country. Maybe I'm wrong. Okay. They don't make you get travel insurance to go to Florida.

Yeah. That's pretty true. What if I just happen there? I'm pretty sure your insurance should work in any state within the United States. I run down to minute clinic when I get home. I'm fine. Well, do with all the favor and do that because none of us want to get sick. Right. Yeah. Okay. All right, deal. Okay, good. All right. Let's play a little game called face off. I think Jenny is hosting face off day. I am. I will volunteer as tribute who wants to else wants to play. You're going to play. And then Bailey's going to play because Vaughn's going to help me be the little timer over there. Yeah. I got any more your duty. himself. All right, Bailey. Why don't you leave the studio first and we'll have Dave go. So Bailey is walking out as we speak, David. No, do your squats. Oh, Dave. Now that she's gone. We'll tell you about the last couple days. She's been singing nonstop. Oh, my God. No, I don't want kidding. All right, Dave. Are you ready for your first category? Yes. All right. These are categories of names. Your first one is going to be old people names. Go. Mildred Louise Nelly Mabel Virgil Kirk, a Gertrude, a Sylvia Ethel Vernon, a Vivian

Sharon. Okay. Can you give me a reason why you chose Kirk? Because that's the only one I'm questioning. You can throw it out. It's fine. All right. That's the only one I was like, I feel like that's not that old. Okay. You did really good though. All right. Your next one is give me nicknames. Go. Red Shorty Stretch, crop top baldie, fatso, gorgeous, hunky, meat lover, king snake. And, uh, dude. Kind of no. Damn. Snake. Why? You forgot Pillsbury Doughboy, baby. Honey. Babe. Cute. Sweetie. I came up. I came up from Red Shorty and King Snake, which was my nickname in high school. Okay. Well, you have a lot of different kinds of nicknames than most people I think. All right. Last category is pet names. Go. The look for pets for pets. Okay. Yeah. He has started over. Name's four pets.

All right. Three. Okay. Two. One. You. Bernie. Buddy. Sally. Mittens. Jocco. Ava. King Snake. Burnt. Burton. Red. Tiny. Chi Chi. Zoe. It's him and King Snake. Do we even have King Snake on that round? You never know. Texting if your pet's name is King Snake. I'm sure there's someone out there. I'm sure there's someone out there. Dave mentioned you. All right. Billy's coming back in. Okay. Here we go. Billy's sitting down. And Dave has some questionable answers for a few rounds. Yeah. You know what? Don't let that hinder what you say. Okay. Okay. This is the name or the game of names for face off this time. So the names? So your first one is name. Give me old people names. Go. Gertrude. Rosa. Shirley. Harold. Harriet.

John. Oh God. Richard. Trudy. Judy. Jim. Okay. All right. I'm just naming my aunts and uncles. Well, that's what you do. Okay. Yeah. All right. Your next category is nicknames. Bobby. Billy. Bill. Matt. Bobby. Bill. Maggie. Peggy. Marge. Cindy. Maddie. Vont. Okay. Are those nicknames? Is Bob and Billy? Are those nicknames? Yeah. Because there aren't full names. Like William is your full name. And then Billy is your nickname. Okay. I think you and I both interpreted nicknames differently. I interpreted the way you did, Dave. But then as Bailey started going out. I was like, well, I guess she's technically right. Because we were thinking like, well, I'm not going to say what Dave said. But things like Babe or Swedish. Oh, those are those are pet names. I still give Bailey points. Vont. Like that. That's a nickname. Okay. You know, and I get what she was going. Bob is going to game for Robert. You both just think that we all think different differently. Okay. And that's how it works. That's why we're the best morning show in the world.

That's why. Okay. Take that round and see Chris. Last round. Is names. Bobby. Yeah. Yeah. That's why we're the best morning show in the world. That's why. Take that round and see Chris. Last round. Is names. Four pets. Oh. Cap. Blinky. Bandit. Kelsey. Brittany. Chelsea. Astro. Rupert. Joyce. Kippies. That's my sister's cap. Eddie. I just named pets. I've had my life. Those are literally pets names that I've had. Joyce. Yeah. My sister had a cat named Joyce. That question. Yeah. Do you question that more than Kingsnake? Okay. So Dave answered Kingsnake to both nicknames and pet names. Oh. So many texts that said their hamster's name is Kingsnake. That was bad. Sure. Sure. All right. Well, here we go. I've got the total here for you guys. And round one. Old people names. Dave got 11.

Mm-hmm. Bill, you got 10. Oh. So Dave did get that one. Very close. Virgil put me over the top. Virgil started with Gertrude, which is funny. And then for names for pets, Bailey, you got 11. Dave, you got 11. Oh, gosh. So we are tied on that one. All right. But Dave does have technically one round so far. And then for nicknames, because we are giving him Kingsnake, he does have 11 on that one as well. And Bailey, you got nine days. So Dave is the winner today. Congratulations, Dave. Thank you. You're welcome. Appreciate that. Okay. We are going to do, we got a couple of things coming up here on the agenda. We're going to do Dave's dirt. And then we're going to update you on, you know, like, I don't know. I've been gone and I just kind of want to fill you in because our lives are kind of an open book. So I'll fill you kind of in. There's all kinds of changes coming up. And then we have, we have an okay contest coming up for Cardi B tickets.

Okay. Okay. Okay. Contest coming up. That's about 720. Stay here on KDWB. Let's do Dave's dirt. The celebrities that are cheating and the shows and movies that we're watching. It's Dave's dirt on KDWB. I just want to tell you, I kind of led the pack being a trendsetter influencer myself on that love story JFK junior in Carolyn, whatever thing. Because that is now trending and people are watching this. I started watching it was just brand new, being an influencer. And now the way they portray Darryl Hannah is such an airheaded selfish, vapid, unlikeable person. Darryl Hannah dated John F. Kennedy Jr. back in the 90s for a long time. In the TV series, she is not a likable person. And she said, I've never commented on a relationship. But I have to comment on this show. That is not how I acted and that is not how everything went. It's still a very delicious show.

I do want to mention Travis Kelsey is crediting Taylor Swift for staying with the Kansas of the Chiefs. He signed a like a $12 million contract to stay with the Chiefs for one more year. And this is what he had to say about it. It's amazing to see her keep going to the table, keep finding new things to write about, keep finding new melodies and things like that. And on top of that, still seeing her have that love and joy in what she does. And yeah, of course that is motivating for anybody to see let alone my fiance. That's exciting. Yeah, kind of cool. Also, David, we talked yesterday. So he last year his contract was for 17 million. So he took a $5 million pay cut, which makes sense since the Chiefs sucked last year. All right, well, we all remember Alex Warren. He performed in like the new artist's performance at the Grammys. And he had something going on with his in-ears where he was hearing an echo back. Yes, he was singing. So he's opening up about that mishap. It was horrifying. All week, we rehearsed and it was perfect.

It went well, to this day, I don't know exactly what happened. So the way it works is the medley's happening. So in my ears, I can hear whoever was singing before me, right? Something happened and everything cut out. And they're like 30 seconds. And I said, I can't hear anything. I can't hear myself. And the guys like it's live TV 25 seconds. And I go, guys, something's wrong. Something gets blasted into left ear and right ear, I hear nothing. And I go, guys, I can't hear it. And so they start, someone was filming this backstage. It's like there's definitely a video that exists. They're messing with my pack, messing with my ears. So they get your ears, it's yours, it's your pack, it's your pack. 15 seconds, 10 seconds. And in my head, I immediately go. I look up in the sky and I go, this is meant to happen. And I just go, let's do it. And he handled it like a champ. He really did. I mean, that's what stage experience and professionalism will do. Is that, you know, I would have been like, I'm not going out there. I can't hear myself. But he, and from what we saw, it was a little bit weird, but it wasn't that bad.

No, it wasn't bad at all. But he definitely didn't really hide it on his face. You could tell, which, to be fair, I probably would have looked the same way. Right. Like the shovels and like, what am I doing? Oh my god, I have no idea. But at the end, when they showed him and everyone was clapping after his performance, oh, man, did he look pissed? Yeah. So there's going to be another yellowstone kind of spin-off series called The Madison, starring Michelle Pfeiffer. And she said that she committed to this whole series without even once reading the script. Yeah, but it was pretty basic, you know. And I said, great. So I'd love to read something and he said, no. So you had to commit. It was just like leap of faith here. I want to know who the actress is and then I write to that actress. And I get it. It's a compliment. I said, but, you know, I like to read something and then commit. Yeah. And anyway, we've been packing for it for a couple of weeks. And then I realized that was not a battle I was going to win. Okay. So I committed side-and-seeing. I mean, it's a pretty good track record.

Yeah. So I guess, you know, people are pumping money into any Taylor Sheridan series that they can because they can just guarantee that it's going to be good. So she'll be Michelle Piper and Kurt Russell will be in that one. Susan was telling me she's like, you got to watch Marshall's because Casey from Yellowstone is in Marshall's and I'm like, eh, I didn't, I didn't, I might, I don't know. But I think the Madison, I believe the Madison is a river near the Yellowstone. Let me see how it all ties in there. March 24th, Miley Cyrus is back. They released the first teaser for the Hannah Montana 20th anniversary special yesterday. Are they getting emotional? Wow. This show defined your generation. This anniversary is for them, it's for us. This feels like home to me. This is blind. I know this is bigger news for like my era. Could be grew up with Miley Cyrus, not so much like Jenny and Bailey. But it's cool because Miley's back on. They recreated a set of the OG TV show. Billy Ray Cyrus is in it, Tish Cyrus is in it.

They're not in the same scene though because I know they have the whole family drama going on. Has Tish the mother? Yeah, her actual mom. People are just upset because it doesn't seem like any other stars from the show are popping up. And usually that's what happens in anniversary specials or reunions. Well, quick question because Billy Ray placed her father in the show. Yes. Was Tish in it? No. Like enough. What's her name? I forget. Somebody else played her mom in flashbacks, but in the show her mom was dead, which was a very interesting storyline. Oh. Okay. It's news to me. Yeah. I didn't even know she was sick. Oh. He's back. He's back. He's back, baby. Hold him more. Back. Okay. A couple of more stories where we wrap up, Dave Stewart. Kelly Clarkson's stepping away from that TV show, but her time slot might be filled by a very interesting pair of Olympic figure skaters, Johnny Weir and Tara Lapinski. Do you guys know who Johnny Weir and Tara Lapinski are? I do. Yeah. I've heard the names. They were figure skaters for the Olympic figure skaters. I want to say the 90s, maybe the early 2000s.

Tara was for sure, but Johnny Weir might be more recent than that. Okay. Very possibly. Yeah. And you've seen them do, if you watch the Olympics, they do some coverage and some commentary or whatever. An insider at NBC says it's not some casual idea. They're actually development conversations happening. They're looking at formats. They're running numbers. This is serious. Tara and Johnny have experience with live TV since presenting the figure skating competition of the Winter Olympics. And since 2014, it says they check every box. They're polished. They're experienced and they understand spectacle. I'm going to say I don't think it's the best idea because one of the reasons we loved Kelly Clarkson is she felt like one of us. Yeah. I mean, it's the same thing that you know, you watch a character that you relate to on TV or a host or whatever. And you might listen to the show and go, yeah, Jenny's a lot like me or Vaughn's a lot like me. I relate to them because they seem similar. I don't know enough about Johnny, or which is named again, Johnny, but exactly.

And Tara Lapinski to make me think that I am anything like them. And I know I'm probably not their target demo, but they seem more elite and not people next door ish. Does that make sense? Yeah. Yesterday, we were talking about Drew Barrymore potentially taking over the Kelly Clarkson slot, which I guess is a quote unquote more favorable time slot in the day. So maybe Johnny wearing Tara Lapinski can take over the less favorable time slot. But no, I feel, I feel you though, like I think Johnny Weir seems personable to me because I feel like I can relate to him, but I don't know anything about Tara Lapinski. And I was going to say I feel like I know more about her and like understand her a little bit more. And I don't know anything about. Absolutely. And I could be, I could be absolutely wrong, but if I was going to hire somebody for the morning show, I wouldn't hire somebody who like, you know, grew up rich and drives a G wagon into work and, wait, are you hiring someone for the morning show? No. They're firing people left and right. Oh, no.

So don't worry about it for the morning show. We're firing for the morning show. But yeah, it's kind of like, I mean, I just, I would want to hire somebody who's like, you know, like good on the radio and not like, you know, rich and vacations and belly, belly is Belize a place. Yeah. Okay. Anyway, that's enough. That's enough. That's enough for now. We'll be back in a second. The Dave Ryan show. I'm live in Colorado. I'll give you a little update on why I'm here because you know, like I said, we share everything. And then we got Cardi B. Take us coming up at 720. So stay here. Coming up on KDWB. This is Chelsea, handler from Dear Chelsea. After the big game like most people, I kept thinking about the commercials and there was one that stayed with me. It was from the Blue Square Alliance against hate and it wasn't loud or flashy. It showed a Jewish kid being targeted at school and another student who chose not to ignore it. As someone who was Jewish, that moment felt very real to me. Not dramatic, just familiar. And what struck me was how clearly it showed that hate doesn't always announce itself. But the impact is still huge.

If you saw the Blue Square spot during the big game, it's worth thinking about. And if you want to show support, sharing the Blue Square is one small way to do that. And this week we are talking about a monster. Or maybe the woman who refused to be one. I'm sitting down with Maggie Jill and Hall to unpack her new film The Bride. And trust me, this isn't your grandmother's bride of Frankenstein. What I was more interested in was the monstrousness inside of each of us. You can spend your life running from those things. Or you can turn around and shake hands with them. Listen to Bookmarked, The Reese's Book Club podcast on the I Heart Radio app, Apple Podcasts or wherever you get your podcasts.
