#667 Dr. Joseph Ladapo

Episode 667 - Dr. Joseph Ladapo is a First Class Father and the Surgeon General of Florida.  He is a professor at the University of Florida College of Medicine. He received his MD from Harvard Medical School and a PhD in Health Policy from Harvard Graduate School of Arts and Sciences. Dr. Ladapo worked as an associate professor of general internal medicine and a health policy researcher at UCLA David Geffen School of Medicine.  He is the author of a new book “Transcend Fear: A Blueprint for Mindful Leadership in Public Health”.  In this Episode, Dr. Lapado shares his Fatherhood journey which includes three children.  He discusses his troubled childhood which included sexual abuse and how that trauma affected him throughout his life.  He describes how he was able to come to grips with his fear from the help of his wife and a Navy SEAL.  He talks about the pandemic and what parents need to know regarding vaccines.  He discusses his new book, Transcend Fear: A Blueprint for Mindful Leadership in Public Health.  He offers some great advice for new or soon-to-be dads and more!
