#65: The Alchemy of Intention #2

Intention is a point on the active side of Infinity ~ don Juan Matus

We began our discussion of intention and how it must be specific last episode, we also talked about how Words are powerful.

"And God said, Let there be light." ~ Genesis 1:3

There're many things we can explore from this passage but let's talk briefly about one of the major causes of failure in our life, relationship, and business.

Talking and verbalizing what you don't want.

What do you want? Broke, alone, fat.

Energy flows where attention goes. You move toward what you focus on.

Attention in Latin means to "reach out" what are you reaching out for.

The mind can't process a negative. Don't think about ice cream right now... you have to think about what not to think about before you know what not to think about.

Martin Seligman's research on pessimism and optimism. Optimistic people talk about what things are and what they want.

Pessimistic people talk about and focus on what's not there.

For an intention to be powerful enough to come into form you must state clearly what you choose, make it specific and measurable and then there's another step that's vitally important.

And that's the hardest part; and requires the most discipline and work...

We'll discuss attention next week, but for now, clearly define, the more specific the better, what you choose for your life, relationship, and business and then we'll go to step two.
