In our Warhammer Old World Lore deep dive episode 63, our penultimate Bretonnian episode, we look at the Royal heroes of the kingdom, beginning with the king. We follow the journey or Leuon Leoncouer from his early quests and combats to his “failed” grail quest and his efforts to kill a necromancer and his brief sojourn into the divine court of the Lady of the Lake herself. After drinking a suspiciously yellow liquid from the Lady’s hands he mercs the necromancer and, as a grail Knight, he secures his ascension to the throne. We have a brief examination of The Green Knight, mystical champion of the Lady with a quite familiar battle style. We close out the episode with the Black Knight, Mallobaude of Mousillon, a disenchanted grail knight and bastard son of the King, who may know the truth behind the kingdom he swore to defend.
