6 Tornadoes in Kansas City, EF-2 in Slater

0:00The National Weather Service confirmed two more tornadoes from those brutal storms that hit the Kansas City area Sunday night into Monday morning. That brings the total to six twisters in the Kansas City and Pleasant Hill forecast zone this week. One beast carved a path over 36 miles through Central Missouri, leaving a trail of destruction. Survey teams zeroed in on an EF-2 tornado that ripped through Slater and Gilliam. It shredded trees everywhere, flattened grain bins and hog barns, snapped dozens of power poles along the Zuri, 240 and dinged up homes and cars. Luckily no one got hurt in the chaos. Folks are breathing a sigh of relief with zero injuries, but the damage cleanup is just getting started.
