6: The Prerequisite to Conflict Resolution
About this episode
The Prerequisite to Conflict Resolution
In the episode, we will discuss the difference between "sinning against us" vs "upsetting us." If what your brother did against you is not a sin, it may be important for you to talk to him about that, but not before your "thinking" about the matter has changed from being upset.
We need to stop and think about how we should respond in the Spirit, and biblically to the disappointments of life. Life is full of changed plans, inconveniences, and let-downs. When we focus on the needs of the other person, we are no longer thinking about ourselves. It actually feels good to extend mercy to another. As Christians, we can look at forgiving others in light of how much we have been forgiven by God.
