6 Airmen Killed in Iraq Crash Identified

0:00Hey, it's Cory with Birmingham News today, your city, your news every day. The U.S. military has identified all six service members killed last week in a KC-135 aircraft crash in Western Iraq. They were part of the Air National Guard and Air Force Reserve, flying a refueling mission. Three of them came from the Birmingham area and served with the 99th Air Refueling Squadron at Sumtus Smith Joint National Guard Base. Major John A. Alex Cleaner was 33, a veteran and Auburn University graduate who led squadron standards. Tech Sergeant Ashley B. Pruitt was 34, an assistant flight chief with over 900 combat flight hours. Captain Arianna G. Savino was 31, chief of current operations with plenty of combat experience. These airmen left behind loved ones, including Cleaner's wife and three young kids, Pruitt's husband, daughter and stepson in Savino's family after. Her service in Georgia and Mississippi.
