About this episode
In this episode, I share a story from a football camp I attended in high school and how the lesson I learned from the coach still resonates today. What I learned at that camp taught me a lot about overcoming adversity.
To come full circle, I recently picked up Ryan Holiday's book: The Obstacle is the Way and 30+ years later this topic is still relevant.
One of my favorite lessons from Holiday's book is: obstacles and adversity shouldn't be seen as negativity but as areas of growth. The way we respond to these obstacles will determine our success and happiness in life, and when embraced, obstacles can actually serve as an advantage.
Today I'd like to challenge you to ask yourself:
- What is going on in your world right now where you are focused on the obstacles?
- How can you change your attitude or rewrite your story around this so you can seize the opportunity that lies in front of you?
