2:01Swing and drive! Not to break, welcome to the show! Card focused episode here on the call-up. You got Aram Layton, Elijah Evans. We are talking Bowman Chrome prospects, which is a tie into the rookie level, Dominican Summer League prospects that we've been wanting to talk about. Anyways, but they're all in this really exciting product, so we're going to talk about that. And then we're going to do a little card report by market movers, so we're going to look at the market of guys like South Stewart, Joshua Gonzalez, Walker Jenkins, Brett Bateman. That's going to be very fun as well. But as always, Bowman Chrome is loaded with a bunch of lower level, really exciting, high upside prospects that we don't end up talking enough about on the show. Unless you're on Hebel Gomez or Andy Azokar, but for the most part, we have needed to talk about Wandaisee-Gun and Ricky Moniz and Johansi Kalamey. How did all of these top-bat IFA guys perform in their pro-day views?

3:01Well, here's our opportunity to kill two birds with one stone and talk a little bit about how they fit into Bowman Chrome, but also what their first little pro-day views looked like. I'm pumped about this. These are players I've been wanting to talk about. We've been kind of pushing it off for when Bowman Chrome comes out. It's out. We just came out yesterday. We were ripping it on what not for on just baseball rips. It's on a fun there last night. I was jumping into as many breaks as I could, trying to get the royal spot was not able to, but we didn't pull any any Gomez yesterday anyways. Azokar might end up being the big target for me, but it's been really fun, man. A lot of fun prospects and a bunch of players that I think after this season have only drummed up a little bit more high. Absolutely, man. With our card branch building out and putting energy towards that, I'm definitely more locked in on cards than I've ever been. I know for the pit folks that listen to us for prospect, but also love cards. It was a great opportunity to talk about the market here. Like you mentioned earlier, we're ripping five nights a week right now. We got a ton of Bowman Chrome products. We're going to be on what not ripping Bowman Chrome a lot the next couple of weeks, honestly.

4:02We're going to have many streams of that. There's a couple guys I'm chasing obviously. You mentioned Gomez and Azokar, the big names, but there's some guys in here today we're going to talk about that. It might not be the big name, but it really is a pretty deep product. And I was looking through the list yesterday when we were starting our release day. And it's a pretty loaded product. Like there's very few teams in Bowman Chrome this year that I feel like you're like, oh, I don't want that team. Like there's a couple, but there's really not many. There's some interesting guys from the international guys and then you tie in all the cool inserts in this product, the WBC, the paled, you know, the artwork ones, the inserts, right? Like there's just a fun overall product here. And all these players, especially the international guys make it extra exciting because the upside is fun. And what you kind of dream, what you kind of dream on these international players becoming is, is a post way to Paula and post way to Paula makes his NLB debut. You have to start with that off the top with the Los Angeles Dodgers. I'm going to be there for it. I'm excited. It'll be Friday and Miami. Unfortunately, the corresponding move with that is Shohei O'Connor hitting a 15 day IL. But the Paula long been a popular chase in the hobby.

5:05Very, very, very popular card. It is markets crazy. But on the specific side of to Paulin where he fits in, this is really exciting. I think a little bit of a surprise that the Dodgers did this because we don't usually see them go aggressive with their prospects like this. But you know, they are, it max months, he said it the other day, like they've got a lot of tread on their tires right now. Like this is a team that's been playing a lot of ball games, right? They've had two straight world series runs before that even plenty of playoff runs, a lot of the same guys, a lot of them are veterans. They're feeling it right now. And I think bringing in a young guy that will help this situation there and they're hoping he can spark them offensively a little bit. You kind of revisit the conversation that we've had. A good bit, which is just like the, well, do you want to add him to the 40 man, you know, before you need to whatever it will. What Dupala doesn't apply to that because you would have had to add him to the 40 man in December anyways because he's rule five eligible this year. So I think the way the Dodgers looked at it is.

6:07Might as well bring him up now, get him some big league opportunity. The guy has been absolutely ridiculous of late, even ridiculous all year. But of late, Dupala has been fantastic. And so I think the Dodgers just kind of hoping to ride a high hand. They bring him up and and maybe he can spark this offense a little bit. But the most exciting part with him is we've talked about it. Dupala had some challenges against spin last year. I wanted to see that improve a little bit. That's exactly what he's honed in on this year. And now he's hammering breaking balls. The defense has gotten to a point where at least it's serviceable and left. He's given himself the ability to be a decent base dealer. He's short up because it's always going to be bat first, bat heavy, you know, profile here. The fact that he can go grab some bags for you. The fact that he won't be a total detriment. And the fact that he will walk at a great clip to cut his strike out right down by 5%. It's a 14.8%. It's really almost by 6%. While making the leap up to double A is remarkable.

7:09It's a testament to some of the little mechanical adjustments he's made. Now he's elevating to all fields. He's crushing V low like he always says. He's not pulling off a spin and of course hitting changeups and splitters better too. It's really hard to get this guy out. He's also better left on left. Like he has cleaned up the entire profile. And I think that's why the Dodger said, hey, let's try to get this guy up here to help us now. Even with all that, I still am a bit surprised straight from double A as a young 21 year old. Right? That's like the perspective here. It's like he's been awesome. And all those things have gone well. And he's number 10 on your top 100. So like he's moved up the board real quick. He's kind of high, but he's moved up even more of this past update. But it's just like it is a little crazy that you look at a guy that's, you know, again in double A skipping over triple entirely coming up to the edge realistically. Right? He's not going to be starting from the playoffs, right? But it is a cameo stint at a young age while skipping over triple A entirely. And I think it's just going to be fun to watch. But of course, like, you know, there probably will be some growing pains even with all that. Or maybe he'll just hit the ground running. We'll see. Yeah, I could see it going either way. When you got a 90% zone contact rated before percent overall and a hard hit rate of 50%.

8:12Like he, he might just come out hot. And it might just play, but it is big leap. Even, you know, even if you're skipping the PCL, it's still a big leap from double all the way to the show. So it's going to be fun to see. We'll jump into bum and chrome right now. And like we said, been ripping this all week. We will be on what not check out just baseball reps and the link to that is in the episode description. This is my favorite player in the whole product. And we've talked about this. And I think the hobby is already ahead of the curve on him when we're talking about the Bowman Chrome Chases. Ony Bell Gomez of the Royals, like, I can't even really justify buying spots of Gomez's because they're already priced where they're at. So I just kind of hope the spinning wheel lands on the Royals for me with our breaks. But Gomez, we've talked about a lot on on the show, especially after the top 100 update because Gomez was the highest rated DSL prospect.

9:20We've had since Hazus Made and like, it probably made the leap even more quickly because I think just when you look at the tools and what he's already doing and you look at the swing mechanics. Like, this is the most excited. I've been about a DSL prospect sense sense, Made and like, we'll see so much can change. Well, you know, once you get to the complex and then most specifically low A, but the biggest thing for me with Gomez is like, we'll cite data because that's all we have. Outside of the video as well like might as well look at it. But I've seen so many players with like sparkling data in the DSL and it just absolutely regresses against different competition. That's where you have to really hone in on the mechanics and we talked about on the top 100 release episode, but Gomez man like, it is so simple and usually kids that are popping 112 in the EV department at 17 years old. There's this like max effort nature to the swing. There's moving parts and whatever it is to be as wippy as possible even Made like you had the big barrel tip and kind of lungy, but like he was getting it off and he can make it work.

10:26Gomez barely moves like it's super simple as hands barely move. It's a super quiet load. He barely picks his foot off the ground and the swing is still geared for lift. There's violence, quickness and as a result, you've had great contact rates. You've had great air poll numbers, but you've also had solid EVs. You paired that with the fact that he six two 175 pounds, more room for strength is an above average runner has a chance to stick in center. If you move into a corner, he'll be great over there. And it has a pretty good feel for the zone. This guy could be an absolute monster. There's hurdles to clear. But as it pertains to DSL prospects, I haven't seen one as polished mechanically as Gomez in a long time and the data and surface level numbers back it up. Yeah, I mean, the risk, right? It's important to not acknowledge with them and you're talking with these guys like of course every single player on this list has significant risk because they're 17 18 year old guys for the most part, right? I mean, I haven't heard you as fired up about a guy as Gomez coming from this level in quite some time. That's for sure. And I think you're not the only guy right like it's like the one thing if it was you were putting your stamp on it, you know, you've done that before and funny people do that, right?

11:34But like at this point, it's a pretty consensus like the pop any of these like that you look clean mechanically have the tools he has across the board at 17 and the numbers back and up, obviously, right? He's hitting 361 and of course it's the DSL so we don't really look at those numbers too seriously. But when the data entirely backs all those numbers, you start to get pretty excited about what he could be only 47 games played this year, but just numbers off charts and we talked about this a couple weeks ago, but like he seems like a guy that might just skip the complex and be sure to single next year at 18 years old, he's going to turn 18 in December. So he could enter next spring as an 18 year old right off the bat, right? Affiliate it both. Yeah, I think you look at the path of Luis Hernandez. And I know Luis Hernandez, who we'll talk about in a moment, but like he was a little bit more accomplished as an amateur because he's 15 years old playing an event as well on Major League and like 340, which is ridiculous. But I think you can look at that path and say he skipped the DSL entirely. Maybe Gomez can just do a quick, you know, a quick taste of the complex and the Tula Lake kind of quickly. It's a different situation too when you'll go like Henry choreo as a picture, but Guru the Royals were very willing to be very aggressive with choreo who had super clean mechanics filled up the zone.

12:48And even though it still is kind of a lot of fastballs and he's still working out the secondaries, they didn't care because he fills up the zone and he's super experienced or super polished and let's move him quickly. So I hope that the Royals do that with Gomez. I don't I don't think you need to do the whole season of the complex. If you want to start him there, that's fine. I think he could skip it and you can make him one of the youngest guys on low end. Like let him be battle tested. I think how he performs in spring training will dictate that he's going to be one of the people I'm definitely going out to Arizona in spring training to see on the back fields and just see what it all looks like, but I imagine like might be at an instructional. It's like they're going to I don't know what that looks like with with you know with the lockout in terms of how hands on like he's not on the 40 so it's fine, but like the instructional and how much teams are going to be doing that. It might actually allow them to have more time for these guys. So I think I think this is a good opportunity for Gomez to move pretty quickly. And I think you have this exciting power solid hit solid speed project ability as well. Blend here that can make him a monster. Yeah, super exciting prospecting obviously the one that the biggest chase of all, but you kind of hit on it right there.

13:53We'll just lead in naturally there to the least an end as up next of the giants organization has been I would say like marginally overshadowed a little bit in that orange because he's in the organization with Yasmer Gonzalez, who's one of the top prospects in baseball. At this point, but Hernandez was an international signing this past year as well. 17 years old, he's a combo kind of left side of the infielder started this year at the complex and was good there and then it got up to single a and it's definitely struggled a little bit in single a but still someone that. 17 and single a I have to say that again because like you said, he was 15 playing proball essentially now he's 17 and single a and struggling a bit after being really good at the complex, but another guy that's getting chased big time in Bowman Kerman and for good reason. Yeah, I mean, it just is so advanced to be 17 years old and low a getting the opportunity to struggle a little bit. I think is is a testament to how just just good he is at his age. A little injury like cut the season short. I mean the low a season is pretty much over now anyways, just the playoffs, but kind of shorts. You didn't even really have a chance to maybe have a good final handful of games to to sprint through the finish line, but I still even watching like he wasn't getting his doors blown off.

15:00I think it was just a holy crap. This is this is big time professional baseball now. This is full season ball and you know, he's not even illegal adult yet right can't even go to like a radar our movie. So that that was I think a really good test form and now he comes back next year. He's going to be ready to go and I think you're going to see some a good amount of success at low a you saw some struggles in a small snippet at the complex and then he worked right out of it as well, which I thought was really encouraging and was want to see these guys have a little bit of a tough stretch and see how they they respond and work out of it because I don't think Mouly Surnandez is really ever faced adversity in his baseball career to this point. I really like him. I think you have a fun blend of maybe above average hit average to slightly more power. That's where I'm fascinated. So I see a guy that absolutely has the ability to you know outslug his frame. The exit velocities are solid was like 88 and change the hard hit rate was it about 40% which is solid figures for 17 year old. He's listed at 510 I got to see a more person. I just don't know if I believe that he just any if he is he just he just looks a little bit smaller and that's my question of just how high is the ceiling if he really really hits.

16:16You can push that ceiling higher. I think he's going to probably move off a short stop ends up playing third base so puts a little bit more pressure to slug. I'm nitpicking here because this is one of the top chases in the product as well. But when I compare him to like a Gomez. Yeah, he's a little bit more advanced maybe at this stage, but I would roll the dice on on what Gomez can be. That said Hernandez the field of hit and where he's at there that the flashes of pull side pop that you need to get into more consistently and he's started to see more challenging pitching. It's harder to do that more consistently start to get in kind of this like survival mode and you're not getting that a plus swing off as much. But still like we've seen it. I think when he's at his best he's he's backspending the baseball at all fields. He has a knack for that clearly and the homers in 74 games is not bad at all in his pro debut. So I think there's above average power to dream on if it all clicks and you can have this like above average hit power combination at third. But I do think like it's going to be kind of maxed out there. Maybe he blossoms into a plus hitter though like there's so many other avenues where he could just continue to push that offensive ceiling higher.

17:24But I between the hit and power. I just think the power still might be capped at a certain degree and I just don't think the offensive ceilings going to be the same as you know a Gomez or the next guy we're going to talk about as like an endy is Ocar or rent or rea because those guys I think you can just dream on more impact. On the defensive side of the ball do you think Hernandez is the guy that I know we talked about this a little bit before with level Gonzalez and Hernandez all in the same organization now and obviously all playing shortstop at this point is that maybe that way that he can kind of counteract that limited ceiling a little bit offensively with potentially being able to stick it short or do you think it is probably more you know third second realistically. So I always hate I always hate relegating a guy like off of a position at at 17 but I do think like a third or second probably is the most likely scenario. He's pretty like solid instinctually there like again he's ahead of his years but you also have Gonzalez who's going to be moving and I've been tandem with him who's a wizard at shortstop so like that's going to eat into the reps a little bit some and you kind of think you're hoping in the best case scenario that.

18:30Those guys are kind of moving together all the way through there's only going to be so many shortstop reps for Hernandez and that's kind of what ends up happening in the big leagues anyways if you develop yourself into being close to an average defender shortstop there's somebody better than you like JJ weather hold if you're starting from scratch could go play shortstop and be and be fine there but you have Mason win over there right so you now have a really good second baseman said i think that's ultimately what happens with her and is is going to get pushed off is just how quickly do they start focusing those reps elsewhere. In the early going here it seems like kind of quickly but you know they still made it a point to get him at shortstop in the complex but also Gonzalez was hurt a little bit and I think that made it a little bit easier for them and then a low way it was it was a straight split down the middle. Yeah no that checks out I think we'll just you'll give him time right you give him a couple of years and then you see from there it's still a lot of time on his side. If you already led into the next guy here it's Andy is Okar of the now Orioles organization but in the product remember he's a red sock in the product because that's where he was from originally before the Adley trade obviously we've talked about a dogar before and someone that I think it's the second highest ranked on the top 100 among all the guys we're talking about today here so obviously someone that you have I think pretty much the high man on right now out of the gate following that trade and I think you're one of the only people that caught some flat from the top 100 for having him above Anthony Ionsen as the headliner of that trade right.

19:50But for good reason there's a lot to be excited about here with the Okar. Yeah I mean look I the bat I'm always going to lean towards the the bat when you have these like kind of 1 a 1 b situations here and I like Ionsen a lot I think they both in for the Orioles organization this past month I think. I think the so car was the hitter of the month and and Ionsen was the picture of the month so both both succeeding but a so car I think people are not realizing fully what he's doing age to level right now and how impressive it is and I really think it deserves more attention. Even before the trade right and then just continue to do it through the trade is a 19 year old switching organizations and just really didn't affect him of all if anything got better after that and you see a lot of guys like even look at Zaire hope double a like the same leak gets traded there was just your routine changes yeah these are kids like the routine changes yeah you're surrounded by different people your preparations different because you can't have the same exact prep that you had in the other or with maybe who you were talking to before the games for game plan or whatever it may be.

20:54And there's an adjustment there so car just didn't care you goes over to the Orioles org jumps from you know high a team to the other high a team and cuts his strike out rate by 8% and just continues to mash and is up to WRC plus in 25 games by 10 points so now on the season you've got a 122 WRC plus the so car's already gone 2020 and he's 19 he's 19 years old he turned 19 during spring training so you have a 90% So you have a 19 year old who you know torch through L a they get the quick push to high a mashed there in the Red Soxorg gets traded and continues to mash and the Orioles org while cutting the strike out rate as the season has progressed you've seen the bags be a part of his game it's an efficient 20 for 23 I think he is a chance to prove that he can stick in center and if you have the crazy sport it's the plus power is the calling card here this is a guy that has an average of velocity of 90 miles per hour who is elevating consistent it's an average on a single 15 degrees and he pulls the ball in the air already way better than most young you know higher raw power type of guys so you already have this this polished swing path that is going to allow for him to just continue to slug

22:07and it's a pretty simple operation and I think the swing path is exactly where you want it to be he's got to get a little bit better against secondaries but it's not bad like it's a 760 OPS against spin and a 780 against breaking balls or excuse me against splits and change ups but the contact rates the like the underlying contact rates aren't great against those two pitches demolishes fastballs and he's crushed all the hangars that he sees and the approach has been good enough so it's worked but if we're nitpicking like how he can be you know the top 20 prospect in baseball that 18% gap between fastball and secondary contact rate will have to be closed a little bit maybe cut that in half I think it's to be expected when he's a 19 year old at high a and the fact that he's still productive against each of those pitches is a really encouraging this is just a very well rounded player the biggest concern is hit tool when and if that's the biggest concern for a 19 year old who is hitting at high a and cutting the way right down as the season has progressed then I think it's very easy to feel really good about this guy and the biggest thing is we thought that they weren't going to put a first on the top corner of his card because he had a release in Bowman baseball I think they had a

23:20big thing they had a big I think it was last year too that was the craziest thing was it last year I thought it was I remember looking and I feel like it was 2025 but it might have been this year but either way it was it was non-autos right so it was it was first based and there was even some parallels but it wasn't an issue so usually they use a different picture and even if they do use the same picture they usually don't put the first back on it I was talking to our guy Kern about that he's like this never happens like whatever and so now you have the coveted first in the top right corner and this should be one of the more popular chases in the product and I just transparency wise like this is going to be the card that I target one time well we'll talk about the in the card report yeah I'm selling yeah it was it was 2026 but it was Bowman and it was it was earlier this year he had a bunch of colored parallels but then no auto and he gets the same he keeps the first tag but now he has auto is obviously so this they went from like you were joking on the day went from like a guy that you're chasing because he's still his first auto but if it has the first on it and it's an auto now he becomes one of the top three

24:24chases in this product frankly oh yeah and anything that's where it becomes really fun it's all about upside and I get that I think the hobby gets reckless in the pursuit of upside but this is and then sometimes for looks guys that have great upside and he's in one 13s is 90% of the wall is 107 miles per hour like it's not just he's getting into it and for guy that kid stick and center is going to steal bags is the hit tools still not terribly you kind of broke it down there like it's not like it's a bad hit tool right you you're looking at someone who could be average or better at all five tools essentially and be a center fielder and he also just you know you get the trade I'd like I do a lot of reasons that like if this was your top chase even and maybe get Gomez being number one but like if this was your two or even maybe your one like wouldn't blame you honestly no and that's why I'm excited and I'll be targeting him as well another couple fun guys though right off the bat yeah one the next guy up is someone in the Philly's organization that is probably the only DSL guy with better straight up numbers then on he

25:25vote Gomez you talked about earlier obviously for instance go rent a rea of the Philly's org is a 17 year old outfielder from Venezuela signed in this past international class of 53 DSL games he's hitting 379 he's OPSing like 1200 so far almost 11 homeers 24 bags like the pure numbers from entry I know the tools might not be quite where Gomez is pure numbers for entry are off the charts so far yeah he's I mean it's showing baseball he reminds me and not quite to the degree because people that have been listening to the show for a while remember like Chris Rodriguez and the Tiger system he was torching the DSL and we were very skeptical I was just like I would not get over so like people are throwing them on top 100 list blah blah and I was like yeah this looks like a man among boys and he's just swinging it everything but he's so much stronger and bigger than everybody else that you know he's producing and he did flash some crazy EVs even crazier than Renteria but he also you just the swing didn't look ready swinging it everything and it's been a process for

26:25Rodriguez as since he's come over states side so it's just kind of work through that which I kind of figured would be the case he's been a lot better this year but the way it's just you know a big part of his game but he's been better as the years progressed but at the same time like I'm still kind of worried about that it's a 34% K rate for Rodriguez but you see that you see the power I think Renteria's got a better approach maybe a little bit less of that like just top end juice but you can dream on it to be 6 3 2 15 gets into it already I mean we've seen some 112 maybe even a 113 from Renteria as well already who's a younger 17 than some of these guys and and already has a pretty good field to get into it to all fields destroying fastballs and he's in an 450 against fastballs spin not as good and what happens when you see better spin like that's going to be the question but I think this is just such a fun player to target because the swing looks pretty good when he's when he's under control

27:29I think he just very easily unravels against spin he's 17 years old like this is one of those classic examples where I can see division I can see why he was given millions of dollars I can see having a good year and I could see him just tightening things up and being great next year but I could also see him without facing much adversity heading in the next year having the same operation and and struggling a little bit so that's where it's tough but when you're talking about just like we said this is this is an upside-pilled hobby like this guy that hit 30 plus the field ahead is not bad especially when you see everything under control like the swing mechanics are good it's just it's recognition and and maintaining and he has the pedigree he's done everything that you could ask and the Phillies are going to prioritize this guy big time and you're chasing upside I mean right it's a guy clearly it sounds like the ceiling there is is a big time big time power bet there's just some hurdles to figure out fine too maybe a little bit more than some of the other guys you mentioned but for a product like

28:32bum and curl he's still a guy that you're you're getting fired up much as because the upside is incredibly high yeah and I'm looking at like there's a 113 pull side there's there's some backside nukes that he said so like it's in there and he's a fun one is just to use this is another one of those players so this is why I go to spring training on the back fields as much as I humanly can because these are the guys that you show up in spring training and you'll get like a nudge from somebody in part of our men or whatever and be like you see rent a re yet and you go see him and he's like 10 pounds stronger his mechanics are often you're like oh my gosh here we go and that's why when there's the we do the breakout articles like those are those are the guys that you end up catching and saying well there he is so I'm excited to monitor and spring training but he's done everything that you could have asked in his first pro season no doubt let's take a quick break and then we'll dive back into some more really fun Velmin Chrome prospects. 33:41Jumping right back in here on the call up. We're talking Bowman Chrome prospects and then we're diving into our card report by market movers. Before we do that, I had a little fun running around New York yesterday and getting some Bowman Chrome products on release day. Where are we doing that? Where are we getting our product? You know where I got I actually got skunked at my local lids here in Boka. People beat me to the punch. I had to do a couple episodes and get some content out early. I'll go to the ball. Bokin. No one knows about the lids and Boka retone. No, they do. The Bowman Chrome was cleaned out there, but it is the best place to pick it up price wise. I just think usually easy wise, like the hobby shops are unfortunately going to be a lot more expensive. And even if they do have it, they think going to lids, they're also going to get restocked. They'll have some more stuff coming in in the next few weeks as well. We get to what the mega boxes are blaster boxes coming out soon as well. Yeah, yeah.

34:41And usually they'll have even more of those on deck. Lids is the best place to go pick it up, but also you end up shopping around for other stuff. Yeah, I was just hanging out eating my bagel in the morning. Metagreek guy named Paul who is there for Australia picking up a Yankee sat. So shout out Paul he used baseball code got 15% off his Yankee sat. We were chatting it up before the day and then we got some bone and chrome. I went in and got some bone for chrome.

35:44He was like, how is that much money? I was like, yeah, these products are cheap, but still cheaper lids than a lot of places. You look on eBay right now. It's a lot more than what you're getting at lids for it. So I love it. It was just that I was that was a great way to start my Wednesday, honestly. To the Yankee hats are everywhere. That's got everywhere. All my goodness. It doesn't even have no idea. They couldn't name you one player sometimes like when I you were just in Europe. I've a visit my sister in London. I made the mistake once. I'm just like, oh Yankee's fan and like no. Oh, it's just a hat. They don't even realize you're wearing any Yankees had sometimes. Exactly. All right, back to the important stuff here. Next prospect to talk about here is your Hennessy column. A of the eighties organization. I'm almost and I must I thought you're going to see. Oh, you're a Hensey. You're a Hensey. You're a Hensey. I got a little bit of myself there. You know, NC column. They have the A's organization DSL guy from the Dominican signs again this past off season. 17 year old shortstop in the A's org has had a great start to his DSL where he walks all the time. Seems like there's a little bit less juice there than some other guys we talked about from a power standpoint,

36:47but he's getting on base of the ridiculous clip so far. It seems like he's going to be that type of guy. Yeah, it's this is where I the data like data versus surface level versus like it's DSL data. So how much do we buy into it? I don't know. Two homers is your little two. But of the guys we're going to talk about today. Maybe among the highest exit bosses. This is the hard part to 76 battered ball sample that we have to work with here. But in that sample, it's a 91 and I'm just going to lay this out so people can understand how difficult and how little you will ultimately have to assess these players with still at this point. 76 battered balls. He has an average exit velocity of 91 miles per hour. Except on fastballs to average exit velocity is 95 miles per hour on breaking balls of the 12 breaking balls he put in play. He's going to be a 0.5 miles per hour. So you can't really take too much from this other than I think he's very patient, which is good.

37:53The contact rates were solid overall. The the challenges. This is another. This is a kid that clearly just had not seen professional spin yet and struggled with it. He hedges that by not chasing and and do this 15% chase rate. He really highlights that. But I think it's easier to not chase and the DSL than it is in the complex and low A. He was a very highly touted IFA kid and I think you can see the reasons why and when there is so much room for projection with him specifically with calm. He's still very wiry and that makes me excited as well to really good athlete. I think you can dream on you know just the tools across the board there and I'm excited to see how he develops as a defender and and all these other aspects of his game. But he's another one where it's like you just got to kind of wait and see there's not a ton you could take from this DSL. Stint other than the fact that this is another kid that moves the bat pretty quickly though.

38:55And he also popped a one 13. That seems to be the top and I remember a few years ago men you would rarely see kids doing this. It's just a testament to just how much stronger and more advanced these kids are is entering for a ball ball with column A. I specifically see room for more strength and room for more production when you really consider that you didn't really do anything against spin. And I think some of that was the passivity and some of that was just not not recognizing it quite as well yet. But this is good bat speed. You can see it by the way he handles fastballs and he's only going to get stronger. Yeah, it's a guy that you know, you can dream on a little bit more of and a lot of these guys it is crazy that all these guys were talking about it's like one 13 112. I'm like, oh my goodness. I remember why I used to get excited about like 108s from these kids. I got 1717 like the new way new world the new generation. That's for sure. Yeah. The next guy up is a Padres prospect in the product. The second guy actually was traded this deadline.

39:56Uh, Joniel Hernandez was a Padres guy now is with the giants after the deadline. He was in that Robbie Ray trade. And he is a shortstop from Cuba initially has been in the who's with the DSL. And he's only played 10 games since coming over to the giants and the trade did have a great first 10 games with this new organization. But it's been really impressive. Someone that I know is paying to the little bit of a sleeper. I think in this product relative to some of these other names that's not as known. But clearly he was a big trade piece of the deadline for good reason. Yeah, this is a fun player to target, I think compared to some like just relatively speaking. Yeah, because he's just got he's got a really good feel to to hit the ball in the heart already. And you can just kind of tell like. These a lot of these young hitters it's it's baby draftfish right like you're still kind of finding your footing and repeating your moves and getting comfortable. And then you see the guys that just already kind of have it and just look like they've been. Just swinging it professionally a little bit longer.

40:58And I think with the way her name does moves in the box like he fits that bill. The moves are really sequenced. It's smooth and repeatable. And he has this knack already to have this finish where I mean he's geared to elevate. And when he's crushing a lot of these balls he's finishing like leaning back like high finish. Look super comfortable out of these guys kind of finish out of control when they're getting their best swing off. And as a result like usually those guys are going to hit the ball in the air and pull the ball in the air more consistently because their mechanics are more streamlined. The swing path is more streamlined. That's exactly what you had from Hernandez can ever launch angle of 15 degrees. He hammered both the fastballs and spin. Ingle max column. Like I think he was injured for a little bit. So that did or I think miss some games. So that limited the sample like we have almost double the sample here in Fernandez with a 159 balls and play. So not huge but double what we were working with from column. There's a little bit of whiff that comes with that kind of lean back elevated nature. Well, off the nature of his swing but not nothing that I think is alarming especially when he's been able to get to the production that he's gotten to against all pitch types.

42:05The raw power is not as I got he is some of these other guys. But the again the game power feel and ability to elevate and backspin is ahead of most of these guys. So that's where it's it's fun and you're just kind of waiting to see how much more strength can Hernandez grow into. I venture to say all of these guys are going to get stronger. When they're 17 years old so when you already have this feel to swing the bat going for you. I think I think that usually is going to be a really solid precursor. We'll see on the defense and everything but he looks like a good athlete. Yeah, I just can say that's another guy I didn't even mention earlier. That's another shortstop in the Giants org who probably has three short stops ahead of them but played nothing but shortstop this year. So it's like he's I mean he's in the DSL so he didn't have to compete with with Hernandez and level in and Yoss War this year. But then once he gets up to state side next year. It's another guy in that lineage and we'll see what happens. Obviously we've only seen 30 games in shortstop in the DSL but just not a bad thing at all for the Giants. We've talked about them as such a big riser from an organizational standpoint.

43:05You got 14-age shortstop prospects that you're very excited about. It's pretty good for a team that has needed farm reboot for a while. And that's why they're one of the most improved in the Mono leagues. Yeah, it's part of the reason why I think loose Hernandez is going to end up getting a boot. And it could be all about the bat, which could be great. But yeah, Yani also looks like a guy that could potentially give you a little bit more with the glove. They've got so much upside in this system now. It's so much fun. It is fun one. The next guy up is one of the interesting ones because with Bum and Chrome you do get a couple draft guys mixed in from the previous year, right? 26 guys we're not going to see till Bum and draft later this year, but last year's draft class 2025. Some of the guys that don't make the initial 25 Bum and draft end up coming around all the way to Bum and Chrome with their first Jaden Lowray of the Orioles organization is an interesting one who was a 5th round high school pick last year by the Orioles. And this is his first auto now in Bum and Chrome a year and a half later. And he's someone that last year was in the complex or even starting this year. He didn't play last year.

44:06Starts this year in the complex gets this single a and he was going off in single a this year as a 19 year old third baseman prospect for Baltimore here is 56 games in single a he put up a 147 WRC plus hitting 325 in that time. Got the bump to high just for brief little cameo to finish the year and held his own but more folks in the fact that he had an awesome season at the single level in his first pro year. Yeah, there's another kid that can just flat out hit. Yeah, we'll see how much power is in there. It's definitely a hit over power profile. But man, if you're going to be hit over power, run a 90% zone contact rate is a 19 year old and 87% overall. It stands out to me with him is he's just so good at spoiling. Which makes him just so tough to strike out when he's down to his last strike like his ability to just flare off those those those well located breaking balls or or just foul off the chase fastball at the top. Like made it easy to understand why this dude only struck out 9.5% of the time this season. You know, the complimentary skill set will be interesting like where does he land defensively.

45:07I mean, is is a big question they kind of played him everywhere this year. He played some short stops on third base some center field. I think you're hoping you can develop as a center fielder because he's got some wheels. And if he can develop as a center fielder that short surely helps his case like you don't want him playing third. Not that it'd be the end of the world, but it hit over power guy third is a little bit less palatable than a hit over power guy in center field. But the other aspect is like it's not like Lare is like a totally like scrawny not projectable guy like he there's some room for strength like he's not huge. But he's a little bit more broad shoulder than some other players I think with his measurements and if you can grow into a little bit more pop. Obviously that takes a little bit of pressure off the hit tool, but with Lare like you already have a really advanced field ahead that he showcased in his first pro season. And right now it's more kind of spray the ball over the yard, but as he grows into more power and elevates a little bit more. I could push that ceiling higher. I just think this is a very fun and underrated prospects in the products.

46:09Next up is one D Ocehan of the New York Metz organization. He was a pretty big time signing last year in their class from the Dominican. Someone who's shortstop has played only a number of games. I think he's what he just turned 17 to be 16 all year until just a couple weeks ago, which is crazy. And only played 23 games in Dominican. So very, very limited sample here. But I know someone that got a lot of buzz and has some real tools there. Yeah, I mean, bat speed wise he's up there with just about anybody that we're going to talk about. And with that, I mean, you move the bat fast like you can come with with a little bit of whiff, especially when you are a younger bat like that. Remember that he was he had some like drama to his whole saga because I think he was originally had a deal agreed with upon with the Miyake's and something happened and what's met. I mean, he was long regarded as one of the most exciting and it played in a few different circuits where he turned a lot of heads. But when you watch him swing the bat even in this limited sample that we had in the DSL, I think it was it was a hamstring or some sort of minor injury, but still delayed his ability to play.

47:14He he looks like he has big time upside power wise and pretty patient. I think the whiff is just the hard part to assess at this point, especially when we have like a very small sample to work with. And there's there's some concern about that going in. He's handsy like late barrel tip, but man is he quick. This might be this might be the quickest bat in the DSL when we talk about just sheer bat speed. So I think that part alone makes him really exciting. Another guy that we've seen even in a small sample, you know, pop 113. So it's exciting to see what could be here and with his bad ending if you had a larger sample, he probably would exceed that because of just how quickly he moves the bat. I see getting this is just definitely one of the higher upside guys you can chase in the products. Yeah, someone will see more of next year probably will have a better gauge a little bit of what he really is, but upside wise, I know someone that was hot. We had a couple people in the stream yesterday and like asking about the net spot particularly. So definitely someone that's on the radar, even though we haven't seen as much results from him as we've seen from some of these other games.

48:16Here are of the rumors here as we keep working our way through this list. We got Ricky Moneys, the elite baseball name and Diego Frantato, a pair of guys both. Minnican for money and then Venezuela for Frantato, both in this brewers international class. And we've come to expect impressive guys from the brewers international classes. I think it's kind of a lock that every year there's at least one or two names from that. No, they're international that we're going to keep an eye on, but both these guys are pretty decent chases and make up for a brewer spot in Bowman Chrome that is very well round. But there's a lot of guys in the brewer spot even so not first. These two obviously are the first. So I'll take a big day away on whichever one of these guys you want, but two infielders that are both, you know, Moneys is 17 and Frantato turned 18 today. Happy birthday Diego Frantato. Nice. Yeah, Moneys or Moneys. I don't know. Calm, calm Ricky, but with with Ricky, this is he's already so like rotationally explosive. And those are the players that man like, if you're if you don't know what team to buy and like a Bowman Chrome just go get the brewers and they're going to get one of those guys right.

49:18Like it's just and it's just the fact of the matter at this point. And and and money's Moneys like get the rotational power that already is present. That's a situation where I think the brewers are looking at and saying, oh, I can't wait to see how much more we can unlock here. Let's just continue to get him to use that lower half more effectively. It's 146 bad of all sample that I have to work with here, but an average EV in 91 miles per hour because of how consistently he's getting it off. He had a homer 111. Like this is this is a twitchy twitchy athlete in Moneys. So I think the pair of that the skill set with the organization easy to get excited about him. Like you get a little bit spinny because he's so rotationally explosive. Those are things that the brewers honed in on really well. I think they've got him highlighted and this is the type of player that instructionals and spring training. You can see him coming out next year just just exploding kind of similar on that pania type of trajectory as some of these other guys.

50:23Frontado. I like frontado a lot. I think it's a solid field to hit. I think he's a little bit more cap. He's not as explosive. Hey, it's it's a very linear swing. He's kind of the other way. You really squats into his lower half and just kind of strives to work the middle of the field. And then sometimes I'll just catch it further out front. You can see that flashes of that air pole. But it is a I think an operation that is not as conducive to. I think like huge scale breakout compared to like some of the other prospects I've seen. But I don't like saying that when some of these brewers guys because again the brewers they hone in on these guys. They help them make subtle adjustments with their lower half and then all the sudden you know it's it's it's a much better looking operation and they unlock more and. And more watching your frontado like he just. He likes to get the ball further out front and that'll result in you trying to work middle but you see him sometimes still try to end up hooking balls and stuff like that.

51:24But he's very handsy with a pretty good field of hit and thing that still helps him be very productive. I know it's a player that they're so excited about and you know you could still see good characteristics there in the box that could help him unlock more is clearly adjustable. And you know mobile with his lower half given how much he sinks into it. I think those are players that sell the brewers will have to work with and you see the way his hands work. I'm watching more video right now like he can get in and turn stuff around inside like it's a good template for the brewers to work with as well. They're pair of brewers guys that we could see go pop next year so as much as they're not the top choices in this product really never a bad idea like you said to be in on some brewers international guys in the type of products like Bowling girl. So yeah. Yeah. Next guy up cardinals organization a 2025 international signing so you do get a couple sprinkles of guys who didn't make their first year of Bowman Chrome and end up getting in their second year. And that's Sebastian dos Santos. Sick name also from dos Santos. He started this year in the complex and was going crazy and then got up to single A and actually put up 55 games of a 400 on base percentage this year at the single level at 18 years old for the Cardinals middle and filter out of Venezuela.

52:33Yeah, dos Santos. I know like Cardinals people are excited about dos Santos and like what he was able to do this year and I showed some some strong signs even at at low a finishing the year there at at 18 years old another smooth swing this time from the left side. But you know switchheader the left side is more advanced as usually as the case with a lot of these guys but you get a switchheader with pretty smooth swing and a good production at 18 years old. So it's pretty easy to buy into what he's doing. I think the defensive home will be a question. You know, they've already moved him around the diamond a little bit maybe not as likely to stick it short but when you have a season like he had were just really too good for the four to complex league and then had the success and the way that he finished at at low a and I know the ball was flying but to hit the 10 homeers and 55 games. Production wise like this is absolutely an underrated player to to follow in the product and I didn't chase much at all sub 20 chase rate was still had a really good feel for the zone in low a fun player to work with.

53:34Cardinals but also has a ton of J J auto is an insert which is always fun obviously whether hold someone into big chase I think they believe in those not his first he has a lot of really cool cards in this product so interesting spot there and and dos Santos I think is probably one of the lesser talked about guys obviously with him being a year later than most of the other international guys. Those guys don't get a bunch of shine because they're the typically you know smaller size signings things like that but it does seem like he could be a guy that is under the radar and has some some long term value there. Absolutely. One more guy we got a picture we got to give a shout out to our pitcher who is in the top 50 of your top 100 prospects baseball so same for the end because he's the only picture we're going to talk about but Christians us wait of the lost angelist Dodgers organization. Another one who's just burst under the scene last year he was getting some buzz he was traded in from the Yankee talk about him like a month ago on the show after you know the just. He cheat guy and a guy that top 100 guy but he has been incredible the season stuff is ridiculous he's running a 36% strikeout right this year between high a double A now as a 21 year old pitcher from Mexico.

54:37Yeah I mean the command is amazing it's one of the best strikeouts a walk rates in the minor league especially if you remove Kate Anderson from the equation now and I mean even over the last couple of starts he's only really improved that it's just for a guy in the minor leagues it feels like you know and there's been a couple little blips says is the case but for the most part he feels like especially when there's no like restrictions felt like some out outings maybe they're limiting him a little bit more but he was on pace or would give you five times. I mean I think he's only allowed like three or more earned runs in his 22 appearances like three different times. He's just a fastball from that little release point but the way that the secondaries have developed off of that like we've talked about is just made him so good when you have that little release high carry fastball and then the change up to play off of it you already have just such a solid template.

55:51But then to still have stuff work and glove side like the slider that he has is kind of a sweepy slider and the cutter to bridge. It's just such a well rounded pitch mix had wind by dominant fastball that gives him the floor of like a number four starter but I think a really good chance to land is a solid middle rotation arm. Yeah definitely the arm the arm to chase there's really hard and rare to chase arms and this type of product because some of the arms are. You know 17 and it's impossible to know but obviously he's a bit older he's 21 at this point with his first auto in this product but it's clear that he is they give you if you're chasing a picture pictures are risky obviously we've talked about them before. If you're chasing a picture this is probably the guy to be chasing. Especially when he's already dominating in double like you will get three four two year a minimum it said that's not dominating this year in the in the Texas league that is dominating especially when you are striking out 13 and change per nine and walking one in change per nine. That is domination 74 strikeouts seven walks at three four two year a if we had like ERA plus would be I think a two five in most years the average year is like around a five in that league this year so it's rare that you can in Bowman chrome.

57:03Get a picture here is a guaranteed big week picture and what capacity will find out this is a guaranteed big week starter I think I'm burning you know a major health concern. 1:00:20prospect you never top twenty prospect even I don't think most places but he was a top 100 top fifty type of guy sitting in that like eighty five ninety dollar range it was up from just the buzz of like what he could be this season you look come spring this year beginning of MLB season this year around April his cards were over three hundred dollars for those exact same cards just after after the off season essentially right nothing really happened it was just the beginning of the season first full rookie season this guy's got a lot of buzz he's going to be starting for the reds right out of the gate it goes up to like three hundred dollars plus for his bone in first and then this season from April to like July drops again while he was playing really well I know he wasn't the rookie year lock but it drops back down into like the one fifty two hundred range now it's spiking a little bit because about to win rookie the year but it still had maxed out and the spring of his first full season which is just a fascinating situation. Yeah I think something you alluded to is is part of the explanation which is I think when he

1:01:22debuted was more of that middle of the top one or maybe not even fully that I know we had him pretty high but then that 18 game big league debut that was impressive going to help push him up as the the red shirt prospects going into red shirt rookie going into the next season and then going into this year we started to see him get pushed up and then they're spring training I think there's a lot of overreaction spring training and pretty good spring training and then or just showed flashes there people started talking about rookie the year he starts getting pushed up into the top 20 or so because it's so easy to put big leagueers high up on your top and then he's going to be there about to immediately graduate and he's there he also has this really good April slash March beginning of the season where he's a nine forty three OPS and everyone's like holy crap here he is like this is to be the rookie the year and then May June 7 11 OPS 758 people are like ah maybe he's just like a fine power hitter so overreact the other way and then we get a really good July and then we get a great August and I don't think that the market has fully reacted back towards the other way here and I think they probably will sooner rather than later because he is the

1:02:27rookie the year with with JJ weather hold unfortunately going down for me I have a bunch of South I want to keep some he's a Miami kid I'm a fan of his I loved him out of the draft from Westminster Christian where where I rod went but I have too much and I want to go be able to pick up some other so I'm trying to try to figure out and like looking at the charts I'm like maybe I need to wait a little bit longer I don't know that is just going to be an instance where when he wins the year it ends up getting pumped back up but like I'm holding right now I've got my true blue SGC Tad and I was just what I was able to find before the season because I picked up one extra one I had a bunch from the minor leagues and I'll probably hold this one and then I'm going to sell some of the others but that's where market move is super helpful as well sometimes certain parallels for a player especially as they're playing well will increase more than others or other based cards and you can look at that and you have a couple different parallels you can move one of those that you don't like as much or that are you know the market is moving more quickly for so for sale like this kind of gave me pause of I'm going to keep some still I was always planning on keeping one or two

1:03:29I'm going to keep some still because I don't think the markets fully rebounded aware it need to be I think the red's not playing great probably played a part in that too but I think it's so time where I can get out of a couple and when he wins rookie the year maybe a couple more and then I'm going to keep a couple Yeah it's also just a good example of how it players do often just peak kind of and they're not it's funny because it wasn't his debut but like it was beginning of the season of his first full rookie year that is the time where you see guys kind of have that peak up and like I think Sal is good enough to where maybe he does get back to that point but like a lot of players that point where he got up to like 300 plus for his baseballman first like a lot of players might hit that in their spring of their rookie year and then never get there again even if they're a good player it'd be amazing and really good to get back to that initial peak right It sets the bar really high really really high which is tough for sure talking about a guy that is going up and up and up and a different conversation of when is it going up and up and up and a different conversation of when is it too late to get in on someone just where Gonzales we talked to him a little bit because of his teammates and the Giants or earlier in the

1:04:31episode I just started looking through his just past 90 days even take out the fact that he was you know last year Bum and Chrome you could have got him for way cheaper immediately after that product came out just over the last 90 days Gonzales was sitting in his first auto is kind of in that you know 60 to 90 range earlier this season now you're looking at 150 plus for most of his bummer first lately and he's been great and he's top funny prospect in baseball now at what point is it too late to get in on a guy like this is a very interesting conversation that I think a lot of people are not sure what the answer is to yeah I've had photo issues in the past we're end up paying too much for cards that I should enough because I just want my go I want to collect this guy and just keep it and I may wait too long to even be able to keep it and you know if you end up paying a little bit extra it's fine but then you end up just when you find out a couple months later that you could have got it for cheaper a year later it's always tough. Gonzales is one where because I kick myself for not picking it up at 70 dollars then I don't want to do it at 140 and sometimes I end up still kicking myself for not doing it 140 because then you can't get it for less than 200 and I think that's probably what's going to happen with this kid.

1:05:38I don't think it's too late I don't have I'm not in a position to just be spending capital right now on cards I just had to get into carpet in my place we get the wedding coming up like so that's part of the reason why I'm selling some of the salis like I want I think I'm going to allocate some of that to Gonzales and pick up at least just one or two of his because when I look at players that legitimately have number one prospect and baseball upside a key is one of them and you can still pick up that base auto for you know I really want to get it. Around 150 I think it gets in 200 plus like for base auto for kids still hasn't had you know high a double a success gets a little bit tougher but man I when you'll get the skill set in the talent like I still think there's a window here to get in but this is a good one where market mover shows you like how quickly the price has moved and yeah and just just how crazy but this one makes sense like he has he was a little bit banged up early in the year dominated the complex and then when you go from the complex and then have success at low a like I'm going to get it. Have success at low a like that makes it a lot easier to buy in on a guy.

1:06:40Yeah and some of the some of the high end cards of his right that the number low numbered ones show it even more right you look at somebody like his looking at like his orange right now is at its 25 orange refractor were like they're you know the initial sales last year there's a couple of them because the hype is like okay this guy's an exciting prospect but at the end of the day you know it was a DSL guy last year right sitting in that kind of there was a couple orange sales and like the 1900 and then 1700 and then you look this season and they're up 3000 plus so it's a lot of the same thing. So it is kind of interesting that those high end cards you sometimes see like oh you know if they're just a good prospect and they keep getting better those just might be more steady right and really just kind of how you see that jump up and take up in a big way. Yeah and usually people are holding on to him like there's not going to be a lot in the marketplace. Yeah that's for sure. The next guy up is a different situation than Yosuwa where it's been a little more up and down and Walker Jenkins of the twins organization which made his debut recently and we always talk about these these debut spikes and kind of what that looks like and Walker is someone that I feel like has gotten a little bit of the you know not quite enough love properly because he has just

1:07:47seen his market kind of remain fairly stagnant I would say there hasn't been a ton of changing in his market and it's actually gone down relatively in the recent few months since he's made his debut what was it you know two weeks ago at this point he's got some base rookie autos for forgot at the top 10 prospect and baseball going in like the hundred or below range recently. Yeah I mean you got a whether the injury concerns storm but like people been weathering that for years now and he's he's healthy right now right and he's he's this has been the healthiest season that Walker Jenkins has had yes it's still a game with an injury but it's going to play more games I think then he really ever has he already he's actually match that if he plays if he shoots up one more time it's a career high in games so. This is one that's fascinating to me I think this is an excellent by and if you're looking at Walker Jenkins saying well he's you know for for 32 and his big lake debut and his only homers off a position player like yeah yes I understand that's why I can get a good buy right now.

1:08:48Jenkins can hit he can absolutely hit the least of my concern is him settling in and being able to hit I think there's clearly just an acclamation process that he's dealing with right now and he's struggling and it's different for everybody it's not a very linear progression for for guys in the minor weeks but Jenkins has made a huge leap for us prospect wise because. Again the hit has always been there the approach has always been there but the raw power was never quite where you would expect it to be and we talked about on the episodes like his average X of loss is up three miles per hour is 90 percent of loss is up one three miles per hour and that was all I needed to see and sure enough you get a career high in homers this year in triple A where the ball is the same so he didn't get that that benefit if you was playing in double A I forget the fact that it would be worse competition but like you would have seen his homers he'd have 25 with how hard he's sitting the ball and. Now he's elevating like he would have been one of the guys that really sees the Jolt there you can play center field I think he's better in a corner but they're clearly willing and going to play him out there I don't know how much that matters for him because we're talking about the offensive upside here but this is like that.

1:09:58Blend of what could be plus hit or above average hit and above average power still can't roll out plus power with him and in a great approach that I think is all going to come together eating no matter how. Bad these final two weeks even are for the 21 year old who's missed a lot of reps in his career yeah I think it's a great by low candidate you look back as far as like the beginning of the year on market movers like the beginning of the season sitting consistently in like the 200 for his base autos and now you see last week they're like under 100 I mean there's a number of say like that's too low. 11 Italy games you're jumping ship like that's it it's not going to happen for him like that that's where it's crazy to me and that's why like a lot of people when a guy gets called up they don't want to miss the boat and I get it but. And if he rakes right away you might miss the boat it is what it is but even we saw south sort rakes right away and then had a little bit of a low and there was still an opportunity to get back in Walker Jenkins like. Don't let foam I'm speaking from experience I did it with net oh and I was like oh my gosh don't let foam oh like make you jump in there at at debut point because.

1:11:03If he has a bad 12 games everyone's going to jump off and you're going to be able to get him cheaper than he was even before that so it's a perfect example Walker Jenkins at less than a hundred dollars is ridiculous yeah I'm with you there I think it's a good by low guy for sure talk about a guy who you're definitely not buying low on at this point maybe you were a couple weeks ago even. Brett Bateman of the Cubs initially his auto and now the blue jays in that trade has had a ridiculous start to his pro career and market movers is a very very easy way to see the guy has an awesome start to their career and you see their entire market just go crazy Brett Bateman cards at one point were like his base auto's for like a couple bucks like now I'm not talking like 30 40 but like genuinely a couple dollars just like a couple months ago even at this point right. You look at his 90 day you see cards that were in yet sales for $3 $6 $1.30 I mean there's sales that are genuinely under $5 and then his past 30 days just an absolute spike up and you're seeing his auto's past couple weeks going in 50 plus range for his base auto's after the first few weeks of his career.

1:12:09Yeah I mean don't get mad at me if he ends up you know hitting 3000 hits and having a great career like I think he's a really good player no doubt about it and I think that it's a great pick up going to be a good glove for them he's told up that way but he's a sloppy hitter that you know is running hot right now and that's how that goes. If you pick this cards up for five bucks and you can sell for 60 get out you get out like that's a really that's a really good opportunity the blue jaz are also like they I'm sure they like Brett Bateman if they have an opportunity to upgrade I think they they will like it so it's just an interesting spot there he's been awesome in center field maybe and maybe they roll with him maybe they keep rolling with him I think Bateman is a solid player but the hobby doesn't care about solid they have contact oriented D.R.S. guys I know he's hitting 330 right now I don't think that's going to stick again I think great trade for the J's great pick up they've got to solid big league piece here but this is more like a bottom of the order glove first you know pesky at that type of guy that I see that's off to a ridiculous start to his big league career that's why market move is it's fun where you can literally see that it's like Sarah Langs with the wind probability to say like we this one is going up

1:13:28hopefully doesn't go down too much but I think it is going to be one of those we's back down but still a big time from then after thought prospect to you know a player that is you know been a solid big league you're one of the best over the last month plus one of the funny things here too is with you know guy like this who didn't have much hype there's no graded we're only able to look at raw really because the one was great breptimate cards so like the market and there's like there's like two graded card sales of any of his like autos and it's just like there's not even so if you're purely looking at raw and like you look at some higher cards and it's an even better example to like the blue like his his true blue was like 11 bucks 18 bucks earlier this season and there was one that just sold for 150 of the last two few days ago so like if you if you got an umbrella statement a couple months ago that's a tip of the cap for sure I don't know if I'd be buying at this point because the markets are any kind of corrected it's already up a lot but if you got in a couple months ago on breath statement that's one of these guys where you can see it bright as day you did well yeah oh yeah oh yeah that that's crazy yeah yeah you're not going to pay $50 a
