About this episode
Walid Shaharul is a Brooklyn based artist that is a self-taught painter from Queens.
He recently had his first solo exhibition put on by the homies over at the art collective, Roosi entitled ‘Safe Space’ at Synesthesia.
Walid’s figures have distorted faces which reminds you of Francis Bacon.
We don’t eat bacon because we’re about that muslim lifestyle. Except for prosciutto and pepperoni.
This is a safe space, no one needs to know about your harams or habibis.
But no really, his show “Safe Space” brings out the bright and attractive backdrops along with bright colors that provide positive and joyful feelings of each of their figures.
Please welcome Walid Shaharul to Wear Many Hats.
