511. Embodiment and Philosophy : Petri Berndtson
About this episode
Breath philosopher Petri joins Mark to talk Descarte, Merloy Ponty, phenomenology, wonder, "lived experience", trusting experience, ethics, Finnish, and snipers.
PhD Petri Berndtson is a philosopher who loves the wisdom of the breath. In his workshops and lectures that he has given since 2006, Petri combines experientially breathing, philosophy, spirituality and imagination in a totally new manner. He works as researcher at a Slovenian research centre and in his own company which offers, for example, courses on respiratory well-being. Petri's book "Phenomenological Ontology of Breathing" (Routledge) was published in 2023. According to Petri, all things and phenomena in life could be rethought, re-examined and re-experienced within the experiential atmosphere of breathing.
