50 Infant Remains Found in Trinidad Cemetery

0:00On April 19th, police and Trinidad and Tobago uncovered the remains of at least 50 infants and six adults dumped at a cemetery in Port of Spain over. The weekend, investigators believe this points to the illegal dumping of unclaimed bodies, with the adults including four men and two women, most tag-width, identification. Two of those bodies showed signs of prior autopsies, but no full identifications have been released yet. This commissioner, Alistair Guevaro, called the fine deeply troubling and vowed a sensitive, urgent probe to hold anyone responsible accountable, stressing that everybody deserves proper handling. Meanwhile, the nation's high-violent crime rates at heavy context, with murders dropping last year, but still prompting a state of emergency earlier. This spring, as forensics continue to trace these remains back to their source.
