They say you should learn something new every day. Like how you should only drink Yeagermeister at zero degrees Fahrenheit. Ice cold. Like those frozen cavemen they find, which makes you wonder, what would a caveman think of Yeagermeister? Well, if you served it warm, he'd probably throw it in your face, say, and storm off, and nobody wants that. So drink it cold, or not at all? Yeagermeister. Damn. That's cold. Drink responsibly, Yeagermeister, LaCure, 35% alcohol by volume imported by mass, Yeagermeister, US, White Plains, New York. You said you were over him, but his hoodie is stilling your rotation. It's time. Grab your phone, snap a few pics, and sell it on D-Pop listed in minutes with no selling fees. And just like that, a guy 500 miles away just paid full price for your closure. And right on cue. Nope. Nope. But I've got tonight's dinner paid for. Start selling on D-Pop, where taste recognizes taste. List now with no selling fees. Payment processing fees and boosting fees still apply. See website for details. Start your day with Quaker Protein Instant Oatmeal.
The Instant Oatmeal, ready to help you tackle whatever your day brings, like wrinkling your toddler into their car seat. That was fun. Coaching your six-graders soccer team. Double girls! And carrying all the groceries in one trip. Try Quaker Protein Instant Oatmeal, granola, and bars. Great taste and a good source of protein. Quaker, bring out the good! Good morning and welcome to 49ers in five.
Your daily update on everything happening with the team that you need to know. I'm Rob Stads, Carrera. Today is Monday, March 2nd, 2026. Here's what's happening with your San Francisco 49ers. The NFL Combine is officially over from Indianapolis, and one name on everyone's lips, believe it or not, was Vernon Davis. Davis famously ran a 4.4040 yard dash back at the Combine in 2006, which was the fastest time ever for a tight end. Until this year, when Oregon's Kenyan Sadiq ran a 4.3940 yard dash. Now for what it's worth, I had always seen Vernon's time as 4.38. Some people are saying that was unofficial, regardless, Sadiq was clearly flying in Indy and he probably ran himself out of the 49ers range at number 27 in the first round. As for some other interesting Combine facts for you, Arkansas quarterback, Taylin Green posted a 4.35 inch vertical leap, a broad jump of 11.2 and a 40 yard dash time of 4.36 seconds.
Why do you care? Because all three were Combine records for a quarterback since at least 2003, Green broke the 40 yard dash record of Robert Griffin, the third who posted a 4.41 back in 2012. Mississippi statewide receiver Brennan Thompson has been mentioned as a possible option for the 49ers. He posted the best 40 yard dash time of anyone in Indianapolis this year, clocking in at 4.26 seconds. That was the third fastest time by any wide receiver since 2003 Kentucky defensive tackle David Justa led everyone with 37 reps on the bench, Alabama wide receiver, Jeremy Bernard had the best three cone drill at 6.71 seconds, Vanderbilt tight end Eli Stowers had the biggest vertical leap at 45 and a half inches, which is insane. Cincinnati wide receiver Jeff Caldwell had the fastest 10 yard split at 1.48 seconds. Wisconsin wide receiver Vinnie Anthony the second had the fastest 20 yard shuttle at 4.07
seconds and Georgia statewide receiver Ted Hurst set the pace in the broadjump at 11 feet three inches. Lots of wide receivers on this list for Combine standouts. God knows the 49ers need help in that department. We always give you one thing to read one thing to watch and one thing that you might have missed. One thing to read on this Monday, John Lynch is on record as saying the Niners plan to get a new left guard this off season, ESPN dot com predicts that they are going to sign a seven time pro bowler. If you want to find out who it is, click the link in the description. One thing to watch legal tampering officially begins one week from today, which of course means illegal tampering is happening right now ESPN's Jeremy Fowler called the 49ers a quote sneaky contender for players along the defensive line in free agency. One name to keep in mind defensive tackle John Franklin Myers, Fowler called the 49ers a top contender for his services. Franklin Myers can play inside and outside on the defensive line and has 14 and a half
sacks the last two seasons. One thing you might have missed 49ers radio voice Greg Papa is back in the hospital, but the news is actually good. Papa is going to have a bone marrow transplant on Wednesday. His younger sister Judy was found to be a perfect match and she will be the donor. Papa told the San Francisco Chronicle quote, I just wish my mom and dad were alive to see one of their children saving the other child's life. It would be pretty amazing, pretty amazing. The long time announcers expected to stay at the hospital for at least three weeks after the surgery and then be home bound in a solitary bubble environment, according to Papa for three to six months. He did sell the Chronicle. He still envisions attending 49ers training camp practices in the summer and possibly joining the team for its regular season opener in Melbourne, Australia in September quote, I've already kind of stared death in the eye a little bit, Papa said, I'm ready for the transplant. I'm more than ready. It's time to clear this final hurdle and be truly cancer free.
