I think what's interesting is I was on live when they drafted him. Probably like the end of the 6 round, my chat was flying up with the 49th to draft Brock Pertie.

3:01I hadn't done extensive work on Brock Pertie. The 49ers had Jimmy Grapalo. They had Trey. They didn't really need anybody else. I didn't really take it into consideration. Then they drafted him. I got to get into this guy. Then through the camp, I thought Nate Sudfeld was going to beat him out. I did. I thought they were going to go Nate Sudfeld. They had already been very comfortable with him. Then all of a sudden he makes the team. As soon as he made the team, I thought, wait, there must be something different about him because of that factor. I wasn't like some that were all in on Brock. I was hoping that maybe he could turn into a very talented backup guy that could step in and case something happened to Trey Lance down the road. But then he got in. When he got in that Dolphin's game, I remember my first thought when Jimmy went down. Oh shoot. We're a championship team without a championship caliber quarterback. We're in trouble. Then he started playing. I thought, wait, this guy's a gunslinger. There was just something a little bit different about his energy. Then all of a sudden you go through the week and you got the Fred Warner clips. It's like, it's part of the end.

4:02They're just talking about Brock and stuff. I thought, wow, these guys have so much confidence in Brock Purti. I should have confidence in Brock Purti. I thought that once he came out in that Tampa Bay game and really just tore it up, then everyone knew that this was something special. I think since then we've all been riding with Brock Purti. But I wasn't all in on Brock Purti. I was waiting for this thing to kind of play out because I wasn't sure. But he's been phenomenal and I went from, oh my gosh, this guy's really good. Kyle, you check touchdown. I'll never forget that. First throw out in the flat. Just phenomenal for Brock and I'm so glad that he's our quarterback. The Moxie to turn around and celebrate before he caught it. You're first NFL touchdown and you throw it out into the flats. He doesn't, you don't even see him catch it. You turn around and hold that finger up. The Moxie man. Oh, that is, whoa, speaking of Moxie, look at this. Rob louder, the striking gold pocket. He said red hat tip. That's right. Long for the right and in the words of Kyle Shanahan, I hope Brock is the quarterback for as long as I am the coach of this team. He just got extended. Brock is signed through. What is it? Like 20 goodness, I probably should have had this pulled up. But how long has Brock pretty signed through? Give me a year. Do you know? I think it was like 2031 or 2032, but I can't. 2030. He's got void years after that. But the last contract year, thank you for giving me time to look that up. I totally threw him under the bus there.

6:052030 is the last signed contract year of Brock, pretty. And his contract doesn't balloon until 2028. Like you used to his he got a $23 million cap hit next year for a quarterback on a second huge contract. That's nothing year after that 2027, 30 million, then it balloons to 56 in 2028. That is when the automatic contract renegotiation has been thrown in there. So that's when we will see that. That's when it's going to take place. Look at this Darren. What's up, man? But once all that was in the past and Brock came back, it was just, it's been awesome. And he got a couple of knuckleheads that are like, this room was Sam Donald. This room with Mac Jones. The backup quarterback, there's always going to be a small faction of the fan base. But once to get behind that, that just happens with every single team in it. You're so popular like the 49ers, you're going to get a lot of those. But yeah, he's been through a lot. It's freaking awesome. That's all I'm going to say. Look at this, Vicki. Now, we've got this comment and this is going to take us into the first part of our show notes. Mark says, I haven't watched the all 22 yet. But was I hallucinating or did they get pushed against the Rams defensive tackles and the

8:10run game? Let's talk about the coach approach against the Rams. Let's look back before we look forward. What were some things offensively that kind of stood out to you? And let's let's pick up right here. Judge the offensive line in the run game against that Rams doubt defensive tackle group. What were your thoughts and what did you see? Yeah, they weren't getting movement. And I thought that they were going to kind of attack Byron Young going into that game because Byron Young is a little bit light, especially when it comes to stopping the run. And they were able to handle him with tight ends and full backs and things like that. And that made it easier for them to be able to double team at the point of attack, push to the second level. But I thought we saw Conor Kobe and Dominic Pony really helped get some movement in the middle. And I thought that that was extremely important. You knew that Dominic Pony, if he was healthy, he was going to be able to get some people moving. He was really good in past blocking as well. But I thought that those guys got things going. But Kyle Shanahan as well, just being able to scheme this up, getting some of the motions, getting some of the angles for the guys who are blocking is very important.

9:12But the 49ers were willing to go ahead and double up front and get some movement. And the Rams were unwilling to come out of their too high safety look or come out of their nickel. They were basically saying, hey, we don't think you can run consistently on us. And Chris Shua learned that that's not the case. The 49ers were going to run all over you if you let this happen. So it was nice to see the movement up front. Conor Kobe did a really good job in this game. I thought he was very serviceable, left guard in this league now. And the 49ers have a good group. And I'll say this, Jake Brendel, he looks a lot healthier than he did last year. So there was actually some Jake Brendel plays where he did pretty well. So it was a really good interior offensive line. And there was a focus on it. But the Rams were just unwilling to do anything to help their defense. Try to stop that 49ers run game. They were kind of stuck in what they were doing. And it really hurt them in the long run. You know, I thought it was interesting. One of my notes that I have for today's show was the fact that they stuck with Conor Kobe the entire game. His first series was his worst series. A lot of mistakes early, but they had the confidence in him.

10:16And you and I both were like, dude, Conor Kobe should be the starter. The consistency, all throughout training camp, all throughout the preseason. And perfect. It still had some, you know, flaws still had some errors in this game. But the consistency overall, the fact that you didn't give up all those quarterback hits. And that's why you couldn't go with Carver Willis early. It's just man, if you go Carver Willis, Brock, he's going to get hit more. His blitz pass pro not where it should be. So I love the fact that they stuck with Conor Kobe. And yeah, Jake Brendel, especially in the first half, he had some kind of highlight place, which man would 64 get some highlights. Watch out because this run game can do some damage now in the second half, especially the fourth quarter. I thought Jake Brendel looked like Jake Brendel of old. A lot of mistakes had some whiffs fall down on two plays where he didn't touch anybody. There were some issues there. But overall, the consensus of the entirety game and the 65 offensive snaps did really

11:17well, really, really liked what they put together offensively, especially offensive line. Well, let's go back. I'll just leave it open ended for you here, Ant. Give me something else on offense, perhaps that you saw or that you like seeing that the coaches kind of there are tipped on offense. Yeah, you know, I love Kyle Shanehane's game plan coming into this. I mean, it was it was a masterclass. And you know, I wasn't saying this was hyperbole during the week. I'm saying, though, this is actually what it was from protections to just how we handled the game plan. And then the game plan came out and the object of a offensive coordinators always to get the defense to cover every blade of grass. If you talk to offensive coordinators, how can we get this defense to cover every blade of grass? Because if you do, you create space. And that's exactly what Kyle Shanehane did. Those screen passes early horizontal offense, spreading them out horizontally. And then the deep shot eventually to the Marcus Robinson when they kind of crept up to get that vertical part of it as well. So you saw every aspect of it, the short game, the intermediate game, the deep game from

12:19the passing game. And then you saw the run game take what they were going to give them on defense. Okay, you want to run nickel? We're going to attack you. We're going to use Kyle you check in our tight ends to kind of come up and get either edge defenders or second level players and block them well. So I thought that that was really big. Let's let's deter that past brush early. Let's put a focus on Miles Garrett and make sure he doesn't get after Brock Purti and we'll systematically move down the field. But I thought that that was a really big part of this offense. I also love that they didn't force feed anybody. The game plan was kiddle, McCaffrey, Debo, Mike Evans. It was everybody was getting the football. And I thought that that really does a lot to a defense as well when they can't kind of hone in on what you're doing. And Chris Hueva didn't know what Kyle Shanehane was doing the entire game. Kyle Shanehane was definitely doing big things. And I love that for this offense. I think that's what makes me believe it can be consistently good. And let's not forget that in the red zone, they are phenomenal. I know they were 66% just get ready. It's going to be over 70% for the season. Miami Dolphins, 75% of the time they give up touchdowns last week to the Vegas Raiders

13:21inside the red zone. Expect that from the 40. That would not be shocking if it's 75% this week. I want to talk to you guys about Fandall tonight. Detroit Lions played the Buffalo Bills and the bills are going at four and a half point favorite right now. That's going at minus 115. The Detroit Lions as the underdog at plus four and a half going at minus 105. The over under and what they're expecting to be a big time showdown as far as offense, the over undergoing at 54 and a half, the over moving at minus 114. The under going at minus 106. Of course they got cool player props, same game parlay's all available. Now maybe you just want to wait and bet on the 49ers game. They are a big favorite include the biggest favorites of the week going at minus 13.5 versus the Miami dolphins, nearly a two touchdown advantage according to Fandall, the over under for that game going at 45 and a half, the over at minus 110, the under at minus 110. That's what I was saying. They don't expect the dolphins to score a whole lot of points.

14:2160% of the time it works 100% of the time. That's just got to wear it. Yeah, I like your idea of spreading the ball, making them defend every blade of grass. The 49ers ran 30% screens. Debo being back definitely attributes that, but if you go back to the last year, Debo was on the Niners roster in 2024, they kind of got rid of the screen game. So they moved away from that. Mark, this is awesome comment. Brock's height has been an issue with the screen game because the balls coming out and those ends coming off the edge, they got a little bit better chance to get in their hands on it wasn't an issue. So perhaps this offseason, there were some adjustments in how they're going to run these screens, how they're going to set those up. I love that because when you have so many playmakers like Debo, like Kittle, you throw in use check, you throw in the running packs, man, get them the ball. And now, you know, in case you missed shows yesterday right here to great ghost face,

15:27says what ended up happening with the Ross moves, did Stribbling get moved to IR, he did the timeline shanty hand gave was 10 weeks. I think it could be more. But now that he's out, you're going to have to rely on Jacob Cowling and Jordan walkins. Those are screen type wide receivers, those are gadget type wide receivers that man in order to get them up to speed, you're going to need some more of that short game stuff if they're going to be in there. So I'm already off script, but let's just stay with it. What are some of the offensive looking ahead now to the dolphins? How do you see or want to see the coach approach to attacking the dolphins defense this upcoming game? Yeah, I think the first thing you're going to do is establish the run. The Miami dolphins, they could not stop the run against Vegas. And you know, you're getting a very similar style of offense and offensive approach from Kubeak in Las Vegas. So when you're looking at film this week, you're seeing that on offense from Kubeak.

16:27And then you look at Jeff Hathley's defense and you're like, yeah, I've seen this a bunch of times too, whether that was in Green Bay or just what he had done when he was in San Francisco with Robert Sala. And you just see a situation where the 49ers are going to be comfortable in this game. And I think establishing a run is going to be big. The Miami dolphins give up 130 yards on the ground last week to action, gente and that group. It wasn't a great performance. And the 49ers are going to go right back to it. Get Kailan black the ball, get it early and let him kind of be a little bit of a work course. But there's also the opportunity beyond the run game where running backs are going to be a problem in the passing game as well. Christian McCaffrey can do all the things that's in Gen T can do at a higher level in the passing game and action, Gen T was tearing them apart. So I kind of look for running backs and tight ends to be a little bit more a part of this game plan versus the Raiders. I'm sorry against the dolphins. Then they were last week with the Rams. The Rams, the wide receivers took a lot of the onus in the passing game. But I think when you get to the passing game, I think it's going to be a lot of the tight ends and running backs. There's just too many matchup problems for the Miami Dolphin to work extremely young,

17:31on offense and defense and really need a lot of work. So I think that that's what they're going to do. Lean on the run game early and then kind of hit those running backs and tight ends as this game progresses. I like that. And yeah, I mean, they couldn't stop the Raiders really at all. And it's funny because they're two starting linebackers. Jacob Rodriguez and Jordan Brooks who the nighter should be well aware of. He was in Seattle. The Shanahan kind of chased him out of there. Kind of your textbook, rap and tackle, chase and tackle. Their run stuffing linebackers. They just don't have the defensive line for it. They don't have the safety for it. And so their linebackers are built around. Okay, we're going to for sure, tacklers. We're going to get the run stops. But man, the lines just getting moved. It's not a solid team. One of my favorite stats and I want to give credit to Josh DeBoei of the AP, associated press. He put this out there. The dolphins had 436 snaps played by rookies in week one.

18:35That's the most for any team in week one in the past 20 NFL seasons. This is the youngest team like from a starter standpoint, actually getting play in time standpoint in the last two decades of the NFL. This is a huge reset. They are tanking with class. They are not trying to win games. I know the coaching staff and players are, but they're not built that way. And so I retweeted that and I put like man, this is stark difference between the older 49ers and the dolphins, young dolphins. Well he did some more research, shout out to him. And he said the 49ers had 511 snaps from players in their 30s in week one. That's the most in the past 5 seasons in the NFL. So you literally have the youngest team in two decades and then you have the oldest team in the past 5 years going against each other. This is old man strength versus like I just think about Bane, you fight like young men.

19:36That is the situation that this game is. What are the ways that the 49ers can take advantage of this youth? I'm thinking man, I want play actions, I want double moves. I love some trick plays because you usually don't get the discipline of man sticking to your coverage in the deep third or cover six or whatever else. You want to come up and you know who Christian McCaffrey's name is. You know George Kiddell's name is. You're going to want to be a little bit more jumpy. So offensively like are there any other ways that I'm missing besides just man play action double moves counters? Like that's the stuff I want to see against this young defense. No, I mean it's really going to be about getting some of those matchups that you're looking for too right. And Kyle Shanian's one of the best when it comes to motions and formations. He's going to get them in a formation and then get a motion that will reveal what they're looking for and then they're going to be able to take advantage of that. So I think that that's one of the things I'm looking at.

Before it to end this game and that's what Kubeak was doing it a little bit last week was finding matchups for some of his playmakers where he was getting one-on-one looks and Kaushanians the best in the world at doing that. And I expect that in this game and I don't think it has to be too crazy. I think these guys are going to bite on play action because once you establish that run, they're going to be very eager to come up. You watch those linebackers very eager to get involved and they take a step forward and that opens things up over the middle of the field for the 49ers passing game. So I think it's going to be a lot of the same for Kaushanian of what he did last week. I do think that last week was a little bit more, I want the Rams to be turning and running sideline to sideline where this one I think they can get a little bit more vertical down the field and attack some of the more intermediate 15 to 17 yard areas.

23:48And I also want to see if the dolphins are willing to kind of sit one of those safeties in the middle of the field again and try to take away those deep process. So we finally going to get a debawe or Mike Evans big play over the middle of the field. I think those those things might open up once these linebackers have to engage it. But I do think Christian McAfry is going to be a problem. I know he only needs like a couple touchdowns to get to 100. I wouldn't be shocked if he gets there in this game. I think he's going to be a red zone problem against the dolphins. They just don't match up with McAfry and with George Kiddell. I think that's a real problem for them. Yeah, you look at, you know, Jordan Brooks got ran out of Seattle because Shanahan went after him every time. Him and Bobby Wagner. Like those are the two linebackers that Kyle Shanahan just smiles about. Like dude, I'm just going at these guys. I think there was one time where the first 12 offensive plays runs and pass. Bobby Wagner was the first key. Like they just went at him and he's a hall of fame. He's incredible, but he was late in his career. They went at him. It was a lot. And the linebackers are good for, you know, the dolphins.

24:49But with the 49ers doing so much 12 and 21 personnel, 22 personnel. Willie Gay is their number three linebacker. He is not that good. So I could totally see that guy just having red sharpie around him and 49ers, you know, the coaching meetings and just being like, dude, this is where we're going. Oh, Scott coming in with the super chat. Thank you so much, man. Miami had some success early, but as soon as the Raiders stopped him, they gave up the San Francisco camp mess around early. And you know, get the game out of the way before half time. Kyle Shenan's the first quarter and a third quarter coach. How has been his entire career, entire career? I don't expect that to change. He knows Jeff Halfley more than Jeff Halfley knows himself. He's going to know where to attack. I don't know. Like, it's the largest spread of the week. It's up to 13 points on some books. Like there's not another game in double digits. Like five points greater than the next game this week. It's not supposed to be competitive, but it is early in the NFL.

25:56The dolphins have been practicing in Napa. They've been over here for a while. What are your thoughts? Let's step back real quick. We'll dive into the defensive side in a minute. What are your overall thoughts and expectations of this game? Like how do you see this playing now? Well, I think when you focus on, you know, key stats, there's always key stats. You go into every game as an offense defense as a team that you want to win. I think that you look at Red Zone. You look at a third down effectiveness, which the 49ers are really good at. The Miami Dolphins are. The Miami Dolphins only converted on third down last week at 20%. They were giving up third down to 38%, which isn't bad. But you've got a situation where this is a really bad Red Zone team as far as defense and on offense. They weren't able to convert on offense a lot of times. They were punting the ball the way. Their special teams was really bad last week, given a big kick returns to the Raiders. They gave up a good pun return as well. Brad Boyer and that special team's unit for the 49ers is an advantage, big advantage versus the Miami Dolphins.

26:58When I saw was a team with all that youth that is learning to play NFL football. That's why the line is so big because right now they've got a lot of learning to do. Now if you let them hang around, these are young bucks. They think that they've got a chance. They're going to smell blood and they're going to play really hard and they're going to go for it. It's very eager to create turnovers. They created two last week. But you've just got to stay on your pees and queues and the 49ers are veteran offense. They're going to execute at a high level. And as long as they do that, I think I could see this game kind of getting away from the Miami Dolphins as the 49ers execute. And that other team kind of goes into the quicksand of trying too hard and eventually making mistakes, trying to make things happen. So I do think that this is a very different team, 49ers who are championship aspirations to Miami Dolphins who are very young, who are planning for the future. Jeff athletes trying to build a winning program, but it's going to take them a while to get that done. Yeah, it's a tank with class type situation. Whatever the only moves you make are left guard and running back.

28:00I guess they did sign Malik Willis. You do have to give them credit for that. But then you let everybody go and you trade away everything else. This is young team, man. This young team. All right. Let's jump over. Let's jump back and over. Let's go back to the week one game. Let's focus on the 49ers defense now. Let's look back first. Then we'll look forward to the Dolphins. So looking back, going through all your film, 49ers against the Rams. Bade, how fun was it watching a defensive coordinator disguise, adjust, change, throw multiple looks in the front on the back end. It's been a minute since we've had any type of chameleon type defense. It was kind of fun to watch, wasn't it? It was. Anytime you see Matthew Stafford double clutch, you know you're doing something on defense. How many times are we watching defense is ran by Robert Sala or Steve Wilkes or as you refer to him, the pet rock? You would see these guys getting rid of the football extremely fast and they were never

29:00worried about where they were getting or where the ball was going. Matthew Stafford boom, boom, boom everywhere. But you saw that with Rahim Morris. He was a little bit uncomfortable and that's why you've seen some Aaron throws and a lot of people are trying to say that was jet lag. That wasn't. That was Rahim Morris and that 49ers defense who is a lot more youthful than people want to give them credit for. They're a lot faster as well. They fly around and make plays. They're physical at the point of attack. They are just different right now. Rahim Morris, he did a great job because you know if you blitz too much against Matthew Stafford, he can take advantage of you. One of those guys is extremely good against man coverage against zero looks, man zero and he did so good of disguising, only bringing five, bringing four. A lot of the time just different guys coming right. Whether it was up in stout, some of the edge players, he did a really good job. I thought it was a good game plan overall. And the willingness to say, you know what? We're going to say what two eyes a tees and we're still going to stop your runner, slow it down enough. We don't think you can consistently score and they had playmakers that made plays.

30:01Red, Warner able to get the big stop. Ronaldo, green, sagging and making the big interception. And I got to give credit to up to stout and Ronaldo, green for learning in this game. Up to stout, seeing how they're going to block him, the motion points it out, goes in, knife's in, makes the play. Later in the fourth quarter, does it again? They have to bounce outside. And then Ronaldo, green, didn't sag early in the game this time. He recognized it, sags. Let's a linebacker take the guy that's underneath and he's right there to make a big play. So I love the learning from the defense. That's probably a lot of coaching too, as guys are pointing things out on the sideline. Hey, look at this, look at that. So this is a lot different well coach group compared to what we've seen in the past. Yeah, that, that too high safety look, I loved it. It just changed all the rules. So whatever your offensive game plan was like, dude, you can't run the same thing. We're not doing quarters and, you know, cover three and cover six. It's different. It's going to be the corners are sitting. And so it just changed where they were going to attack and it was crazy.

31:02The staffer in McVeigh never caught up. They never caught up. They never felt comfortable. I thought that was awesome. Now we have a question. Oh, look at this. Tom is coming in strong. Appreciate you, my friend. Could the 49ers still have some jet like I landed Sunday back from Australia. Dude, last night, the wife and I, we slept hard, dude. Like we slept hard. So yesterday was the first day where I felt normal. I was pretty sluggish, whatever I woke up this morning, but like I had two workouts yesterday. Like I do a two on one off. Like today, I just have one workout, but my two workouts yesterday were awesome. Now the Niders landed two days before us. So I think that they're going to be just fine. I really, really do the fact that they were finding Australia after being there for six days. They are going to be at home longer in their own beds and whatever else. It was rough. It's yet to talk about like, yeah, it takes time. But I think the Niders are going to be fine in that area.

32:03I am the worst jet lag human being in the world. And I feel pretty good. I did sleep pretty hard last night, but I think we're going to be all right. Now sticking with your question on the zero blitz, there were two plays where there were zero blitzes. It didn't cost them. Do you think the 49ers on Corkmore blitzes this week? At a 19% blitz rate, which was like bottom five Robert Solo levels last week, but you don't blitz staffer. He's one of the best quarterbacks in NFL history against the blitz Malik Willis. A little bit different story. Yeah, I love the blitz in this one. I love bringing an extra guy to kind of him him up and keep him inside the pocket. Pass rush lane integrity is very important this week and adding a fifth guy, whether that is showing it initially or blitzing is going to be very important. Keep him in the pocket. He has to process. It takes him a lot of time and he holds on to the football, which will allow guys like Osa, Diggie, Zua and those guys to get there from the inside. So I do think they're going to see a lot more blitzes this week. I don't think they're going to be extremely exotic. I think they're going to be more straightforward, but I think with the stunts up front, those

33:06kind of have to be a little bit less used because of Malik Willis's ability to be able to run. You don't want any of those guys washed out of their rush lane position. So I think that this is what they do. They bring up the style from the outside sometimes, Marquis Seagull, maybe even sometimes you'll drink, green lawn, the linebackers expect Jaden Dugger a lot coming from the outside. And I think that they're just going to try to him him up, make him read, make reads. But the fact he was sacked five times last week by Las Vegas. And if you watch a lot of those sacks were four, five seconds as he's just holding on the ball, I do think we're going to go get after him. They're going to make Malik Willis beat him and that's what I think they should do. Yeah, man, I have in my notes like I don't want as many stunts. That was the way they went after Stafford because you don't have to worry about him escaping the pocket. And that third, fourth quarter, it was D line stunts almost every single play. I don't want to do that this week. I want blitzes and I want to see what that is. And so like right here, we got this question from Scott, man, awesome question. Any stats on how Morris defenses handle quarter back runs because we are owe for this

34:10century, head to lead mobile quarter back runs. Yeah, like just diving through a lot of his tape, it's a lot more spy type situations where you do the cover one under cover one man under. You do that a lot more, which I think is really good against these young wide receivers, where you'll have Fred Warner or Drake Greenlaw. Drake Greenlaw, that's kind of his specialty is spying mobile quarter backs. Like that is what makes Drake Greenlaw special where he could guard the wide receiver. And so the way that the 49ers and Rahim Morris traditionally do this, you have your two middle line backers, one of them, whichever one the back doesn't go to. So if the back flares to the right and Drake Greenlaw's on that side, he takes the backer than Fred Warner is going to be the spy. The back flares to the left. Fred Warner takes the backer than Drake Greenlaw is going to be your middle one hook to the curl defender slash spy defender. I think that's what you're going to see. And so some of that cover one man under is going to be huge.

35:12Nick Sorenson tried to do it, couldn't do it. Saw a little bit of it last year, but you didn't have the linebackers for it. You too now. Malik Willis is quick and he can move. He can't do it against Fred Warner and Drake Greenlaw. That is where things change. That is where things change. God coming in with super chat. Vets rested yesterday, but Kittle was out there. They're trying to stack those days. Kittle did not look 100%. Kittle is still on the get back to 100% track. Now Kittle at 85% is incredible. His blocking looked on par. Routes, explosiveness, all that stuff, not so much yet. So he's not yet to the point where it's like, okay, where where we want to be, let's sustain health. Kittle is still fighting to get back. Would you agree with that? Yeah, I think so. I think he's still working through soreness. He's going to work through some of the stiffness and things like that. So him getting extra work is very important for his body and recovery and it's not always about rest.

36:12Sometimes it's about working through it. And he's still trying to get to the level he wants to be in. This isn't the George Kittle. As long as he doesn't get nicked up anymore, this isn't the George Kittle we're going to see, you know, two months from now. I think he'll be a little bit more explosive, enable to make more plays as handling the blocking. It's a good possession tied in, but as far as explosiveness, we probably won't see that for a couple of months at least. And so I think that that's what he's continuing to work through. So okay, Kittle played 30 out of 65 snaps. So just less than half, what do you put his snap rate out? Let's assume it's a 65 snap game again. Where would you project his snap rate to be week two against the dolphins? I think it's going to stay around the same area of 30 to 35 snaps. I think that's kind of where they want it. They'll put Brady and Willis in situations to block. They go to 12 personnel. They'll put him in there and they won't worry about him and Luke Farrell handle business. They're confident in Brady and Willis's abilities. We'll see if that is, you know, works out for them, but I think that they feel comfortable and they have to have George Kittle on a pitch count right now. They need to slowly work him and he's not ready for full snaps.

37:15And that's why when people talk about them, maybe investing in a tight end at some point, that's still a realistic possibility if they don't get the play out of Brady and Willis if they're hoping to get. I like that. Ed Dale, my man, appreciate you, buddy of the Super Chat. He says, he says, hang on. Are we really scared of Willis? No. The one area that is like, okay, so whenever I used to scout for our teams, I would have to answer a week before prep. How could this team beat us? Right? Like that's the question. So like, what is the weakness? What are they so good at that we have to make sure we pay attention to? And it's their speed because Devon Hane and Malik Willis are crazy, crazy, quick mobile. They are fast. So, you know, if I had to script out like, okay, how do the dolphins beat this team? What's that going to look like? Malik Willis is going to scramble for 50 plus yards. Devon Hane's going to rush for 100 plus yards. They're going to keep it close, a couple turnovers, things like that. So if you can take away what the dolphins have to do to win,

38:20namely Malik Willis scramble for first downs, that's what you do. So it's not so much like, oh, I'm scared or whatever else. Mobile quarterbacks have given this 49ers team some problems. That is there. So that's kind of how would you assess the Malik Willis and what that looks like? Yeah, I mean, you look at their strengths. Why it's going to be some sort of like a, you know, the different read options and things like that where they can try to get the defense flowing away and then be able to attack their perimeter. This team wants to attack the perimeter. They're not built like the Rams where they can go right at you, right in the middle of the field. They want to do that eventually. That's why they draft a Cade and Proctor, but they're not there yet. So right now everything wants to be out on the edge. And Malik Willis moving is very important for them. Get, get plays going one way with Devon Hane. Get your attention going that way and then kind of get him booting out. That's what they're looking for. They're trying to make you stand pet. They don't want you crashing down the line. They've got to hold you to create extra run lanes for this running game. So that is the main objective for this team. They're built on speed.

39:20You know, they got Malik Washington as well. This is kind of what they're trying to do is get some speed out there. And some of that is still a holdover from Mike McDaniel, which was all, all NASCAR, all speed all the time. And I think that they still got some of that. They're going to eventually get grimy because you have a defensive coordinator as a head coach and they he's going to want to control the clock and move the ball, but they're not there yet. And so I do think that that's the main focus of this defense is himming up the quarterback. And once they do, I think they'll be okay. Him, H.A.ing, hold them under wraps. And I think you'll be okay. But you're not worried about the quarterback. It's just that is the focus of that offense. You need to make sure you do a good job of slowing them down. Oh, my love it. And tell goes on to say, man, John, where's that bottle of angels? Man, so we moved to Emoryville. There's a Japanese market across street. They don't have it there. I went there to get it after your super chat. And then we flew to Australia and we came back. I've got to get outside of the place to go to another spot to get that. So the bottle of angels envy is on its way, my friend, but I don't have it yet. I'm so sorry, but it's happening.

43:30Wigovie. Why wait? We go deep. Is the difference? I did think they were going to sign McKinley Jackson as soon as he kind of worked out before Australia. And then you had the injury out for a call and it's like, yeah, this guy is going to be with the 49ers because he's different, right? They lost Bryce and Eason, who was this type of player. The big two-eye, one-tech run-stopping guy. They tried Evan Anderson in the past. That didn't work. But you look at this team and it's basically a bunch of three-ticks. No matter what you think about James Thompson, he's huge. Yes, he plays like a three-tech right now. He's a penetrator. He's a disruptor. He's not a guy that holds ground. The only guy that they really have right now that can do that is McKinley Jackson. Even on their practice squad, when you look at it, I mean, even the guy they worked out in Larry Ogan-Joby is still more of a three-tech than he is a run-stopper. So this is a guy that they desperately need. Now, I don't know if he's going to be a guy they've are going to be ready to elevate. Right now, they could do that. With some of the moves they've made, bringing Caterral Hodge up and already moving up,

44:33Braden Willis, they have the freedom to do that. They don't have to elevate some of those other guys anymore. So I do think that he could have an opportunity. I would love to see what he could do, stopping the run. And that way, James Thompson Jr. kind of becomes more that fifth guy, more that rotational guy that you can use on obvious pass-downs. But I think they want Grayson Holt in there the most Osa Digi-Zooa. But I would love to see 10 to 15 staff from McKinley Jackson if they felt he was ready, but how long is it going to take for him to get accustomed to Chris Caceric's defense? It might not be this week because I do believe that the 49ers feel like they can stop the Von A. Chain and that Miami Dolphins offense without having a big run-grade stopping defensive tackle this week. Yeah, I'm curious to see who they're going to elevate. Technically, Ocaron Quo was still on the practice squad, so that's one. And then like, man, where do you go after that? You've got a handful of guys, Kevin Gibbons. We just talked about McKinley Jackson, Khalil Dinkins. Do you want the, like, I don't know what they're going to do there.

45:36But what do you think about Jordan Walkins? You know, John Lynch on KMBR this morning said it's time for Jacob Cowan and Jordan Walkins to step up. Jordan Walkins was a healthy scratch last week. You talk about Jacob Cowan played like six naps. Who gets more reps at the wide receiver room, not talking special teams, just wide receiver rotation? Will we see either of those guys or is it just going to be a heavy four-man rotation? Yeah, I know what John Lynch said about Jordan Walkins. I don't think that Jordan Walkins is going to play. I think he's going to be a healthy scratch again. Yeah. So much more value. And let's not forget, Kyle Shanian, last year, he was like, no, we're not going to Jordan Walkins. We're going to throw the ball to Malik Turner. Turner, yeah. Yeah. And Cudero Hodges, a better wide receiver than Malik Turner. At this point, I think Cudero Hodges can do the job. They had him in on one play. Wasn't really a lot of offense from Cudero Hodges last week. But I think they feel comfortable with who's up there ahead. I think Jacob Cowan is the next guy up just looking at what they did last week. I think that he will have a few opportunities.

46:38He'll probably try to scheme some things vertically down the field, maybe a screen pass here or there. But make no mistake, they're going to lean on Mike Evans, Devo Samuel and to Marcus Robinson. These guys are going to be the focus until Christian Kurt comes back week five. And I think that that's how they're going to roll. So do I think that he's imploring Jordan Walkins to do something? Yes. But I think he's talking more about practice. Hey, this is your time to step up and show us what you got. Win in practice so we can play you over Cudero Hodges. But he's no, he doesn't help you blocking. He doesn't help you on special teams at all. So there's not as much value as Jacob Cowan, he helps you as a punt and kick returner. And Cudero Hodges, one of the better special teams players on the team if not in the league. So I just, I don't see a lot of options for Jordan Walkins right now. And like in the thing is like he's the worst blocker I've ever seen in a Kyle Shanahan offense. That makes it hard. He can run the crossers. He can run the drags. He can run the digs. He can do the in breakers. He can do that. It's just what else can you do? And that's the problem. So like man, again, 65 offensive snaps here was the wide receiver snap allotment last

47:41week. Mike Evans played 49. DeMarcus Robinson played 41. Debo played 27. Something's got to give either those three guys all take 10 extra snaps again with Jacob Cowan and Cudero Hodges getting more snaps. Like somebody's, if not everybody snap rate has to go up to Sean Stryvlin was leading the wide receivers and snaps before he got injured. He had 21 snaps. Who do you see the increase? Is it all across the board? Everybody getting more? I don't think they go Mike Evans with more. I think that they'll probably try to keep him the same way. They got to have like a little bit of a pitch count for him. They're trying to make sure longevity wise. I think DeMarcus Robinson is built for this. He could play the same amount or a little bit more. Debo, you could throw in an extra six snaps. Then you throw in a five or six snaps for Cudero Hodges and for Jacob Cowan. I think you kind of just spread it across the board. That way it's not too much on anybody.

48:42You don't want to go too much with Mike Evans. I kind of like Debo. In that 30 snap range, he continued to look explosive. He's got the unique ability to be that wide back again. We saw the nice 12 yard run that he had in the game and he looked really good out there. I kind of like that number. I mean, Jacob Cowan does have to step up in the five or six extra snaps that he gets. Cudero Hodges the same thing. Now the thing about Cudero Hodges, he'll go out there and knock your block off the guy's physical. So they can put him in some run situations and also have some situations where they're not going to be afraid to throw the ball. In precinct, Cudero Hodges was he's fine. And he played all three wide receiver spots. Exactly. He plays them all. Yeah, I curious to see how that's going to go, man. It's going to be fun. I don't want to cut you too short. Is there anything on your notes? I can't deprive the people. Is there anything on your notes we have not gotten to yet because I want all the nuggets of wisdom. I will just say this this week, the 49ers are really playing with a complimentary football

49:42mentality. You can see it from the coaching staff and the way that the players are out there playing. Special teams is going to be a huge reason why the 49ers beat the Miami Dolphins this week. That Brant Boyer unit, they've invested in players. They've invested in a coach that knows what the heck he's doing and he gets guys out there in the right spots and you can see them get coached up. They're flying around. They're making plays and the Miami Dolphins aren't there yet. The Miami Dolphins are number 27 DVOA special teams in the NFL. And I was surprised it wasn't 32 with how bad they played against Las Vegas last week. I think they'll be a little bit better, but I think the 49ers are going to be one of the best special teams units all year. And I think that that's really going to help this football team. So that is kind of one of the areas I'm focused on. It never gets attention. Special teams never gets attention, but I'm telling you this special teams unit is going to help with field position on offense, getting in plus field position. And I think on defense is going to pin them back a little bit. Our special teams help the defense out. I think that's going to be a big part of this game. Field position matters and it's going to matter in this one. The hidden yards, the hidden yards, they change everything and who would have thought Kyle
