47: The Alchemist of Indiana

Bourbon Lens

About this episode

We sat down with Distiller Alan Bishop and Jolee Kasprzak from The Spirits of French Lick Distillery in West Baden Springs, Indiana. We recorded this episode on location in the Spirits of French Lick Barrel Chai (Warehouse) while enjoying some of their Lee W. Sinclair 4 Grain Bourbon.  This is a distillery that truly embraces it motto, "Respect the Grain."  Find out why Alan Bishop dislikes being called a Master Distiller and prefers "Alchemist" instead. Alan is a wealth of knowledge on the history of distillation, the spirited history of Indiana, and the process of making spirits with various techniques, technology, & ingredients.
