How's your week? Has it been absolutely crazy? Maybe you're coming off of the crazy cold weather. We are finally down
to the last two millimeters of ice and snow left in our yard. It's crazy. When I came back, I was traveling, as I have told you and shared with you, that I'm on the road every three to four days. And so it was one of those things where there was still snow upon my return on the roof of our home. I was like, this is crazy. Sometimes life is just like that, right? And when life just kind of feels like it's coming at you in all different directions, it's all too easy to feel crushed when things don't appear to be going your way. We want immediate results with little to no effort. But the reality is, you can't have everything. And that's okay. Put a smile on your face. It's okay. Because if you did have everything, it would be perfect. And that would change everything, not just for you, but for the world. We'd be having totally different conversations. So let's take a bite out of it for just a hot minute, okay? Perfection would freeze you in place, right? If you were perfect, you'd be like,
you don't know what to do. It would absolutely positively rob you of growth, struggle, and the raw humanity that shapes your unique story. Now, you might be wanting to give up that struggle, but remember, beauty comes from pressure. That's why you got to create your now. You're not defined by your circumstances. You're not defined by what hasn't or has worked for you. Who are you? Who are you becoming? God's got a purpose for your life written here on Earth and in heaven. And he's already orchestrated it all. Now, yes, we have free will, which means we usually take a few detours here and there, but somehow, some way it all comes together for those who love the Lord. And that doesn't mean we get everything, because you can't have everything. And that's okay. So let's cut the nonsense of complaining
and comparing. Stop looking side to side. Stop looking at those reels. I mean, if you're going to look at them and you're going to have fun with them, great. If you're going to celebrate them, great. If you're going to pray for them, great. But don't sit there and say, I wish I was her. Man, I've only had that car. Now, it's fine to kind of like be, oh, well, you know, that would be nice to have a brand new car. But to live their life to be them. I know I was actually thinking about this. I was having a conversation with my good girlfriend and she was telling me her update on her health. And honestly, in a brief millisecond, I was like, she makes me so mad. Why is it that she can just eat three different things, change her meal, and all of a sudden, she's down three pounds. I'm like, that's so unfair. I go and I shovel snow and ice over our last snow storm, right? We really only had one. And when it hit and struck,
I had to shovel out literally my garage area so I could get physically out of my garage because I was snowed in. I had over three and a half foot drift. There was nowhere I was getting over that snow and ice. There was no way because I would have ended up in my neighbor's yard. And that was not going to be on my to do list. It was the last thing I wanted. And I would shovel and shovel. And I did on average three hours a day. And I wasn't eating a lot of ton of stuff. I wasn't, honestly, I was eating pretty good. I was drinking my fluids. Yet did I lose any weight? Did anything shift on the scale? No. Oh, but she just adds a little bit of spinach here and has a few eggs here and does this there. And she's down three pounds in three days. I'm like, that's not fair. Maybe it's more like a week, but regardless, I didn't lose anything. Over a week, two weeks in fact, my scale numbers went up. Yeah. That's the complaining and comparing that we do so easily.
That is our real life. And it doesn't have to be about weight. It can be about anything, right? Why am I not where I'm supposed to be in my career? Why can't I have the better paying job? Why can't I do this? Why can't I have this? It's like we want everything. But my goodness, if we had everything, what would we be living for? That's a harder question, isn't it? That's a deeper question. That's a sole question. So instead of complaining and comparing, focus on what you do have. Notice the blessings you're still creating, the work in progress that others often miss. See the messy and perfect chaotic path and find within it your hidden treasures, the gift you're polishing up, those diamonds in the rough, only you possess, because it's all about you. This isn't a consolation prize. It's the foundation of your one-of-a-kind masterpiece. You don't have to be flawless. You get to be real.
You have to be all in on the beautiful, complicated, unfinished work of becoming exactly who you're meant to be, who you are now, and who you are becoming. And I know it'd be nice if life was a little bit easier. If we didn't have to deal with medical diagnosis that has us going in the wrong direction, so to speak, maybe the loss of a job, maybe the breakup of a relationship, maybe the tension within the family dynamics, maybe the estranged relationship with your children, whatever it is, maybe the loss of an animal in your life, a pet, it could be anything. And we can sit here and want for something so much more, but will we look and stop long enough? You are blessed. Sometimes we just have to stop chasing everyone else's journey to recognize that.
Own your own journey. See the blessings. Build the living legacy only you can create, because I want to remind you today, my friend, the world needs you. The mark that only you can leave. Go in peace. Be present. Be incredible. Be you. I love you so very much. I cannot wait to see you on the other side. Blessing tags and lots and lots of love. We'll talk to you real soon. Have a glorious birthday. Bye-bye. Feeling inspired and ready to train for life and love your journey, visit createyournow.com for more incredible resources to help you along the way.
