370: Mazdaznan pt. 1 - The Original Hippie Racists

Boris begins a short series examining Mazdaznan, a faux Zoroastrian cult from the early 20th century. Although largely forgotten now, it was quite influential in the world of modern art in the interwar period and also has surprising links to the white supremacist Christian identity movement. In part one, Boris takes a look at the strange mix of vegetarianism, race science, and breathing exercises that make up their foundational doctrines.
