Scripture (Genesis 32:24-25 NKJV):
“And Jacob was left alone; and a Man wrestled with him until the breaking of day. Now when He saw that He did not prevail against him, He touched the socket of his hip; and the socket of Jacob’s hip was out of joint as He wrestled with him.”
Reflection: Struggles refine our faith. God meets us in our wrestling and transforms us through the process.
Prayer: Father, help me persevere in my struggles and rely on You for strength and transformation.

Good morning Ecclesia, welcome to day 67 of 365 daily devotions, a journey through the Bible. We're going to talk today about Jacob wrestling with God. Have you ever done that? I know I have many, many times. And you know what? God always wins. And we always walk away with a little bit of a limp, don't we? Because he wins every single time. We need to be willing to just accept what he's got for us and not be wrestling with him. Our answer should always be yes and amen. The scripture we're going to look at today is Genesis 32, 24 and 25. Let me read it for you. It says, and Jacob was left alone and a man wrestled with him until the breaking of day. Now, when he saw that he did not prevail against him, he touched the socket of his hip and the socket of Jacob's hip was out of joint as he wrestled with him.
Let's not be wrestling with the Lord. Let's just be obedient. Look at these flowers here. It's amazing, some of the things you get to see when you wander around these small Japanese cities, through the small streets. Yeah, struggles refine our faith. I said struggles, not wrestling with God. Struggles refine our faith and God meets us in our wrestling and transforms us through the process. We don't transform him. If God's words says something, you're not going to change it. It's meant to change us. That's the wrestle that we face. How are you going with that? Let's pray. Father, help us persevere in our struggles. Help us, Lord, rely on you for strength and rely on you for transformation and not try and do it ourselves. And not let us rely on man because we know man has fallen.
I want to encourage you. Be diligent with your Bible study time. Get to know the Father. Get to know Jesus. And get out there and share the gospel as Jesus is coming back soon. It's not going to be long. You might say, bad pastor. People have been saying that for 2,000 years. Yes, that's true. But that means for 2,000 years closer than when it was first said, that way. So he's coming back soon. We need to be sharing the gospel with everyone we can. Until tomorrow, stay in the blessings.
