Do we even want to do takeaways? I mean, I don't know if I have a takeaway. Girl, I'm just like, I'm bored. I'm bored too. And there's only one other episode. The next episode is a behind the scenes with Cody Brown. Yeah, I'm not going to cover that. I could care less. And so the next episode will be I think eight full episodes. Yeah. For season 10, so it's a really short season, huh? Yeah, because I'm wondering if they're trying to like trim out some of the drama or something or save it for season 11. Okay, I don't know what's coming up in season 11. That's so dramalicious. I don't know either. Other than Leon and Mary O also, well, Tony, this episode was our first mention of Tony so maybe it's the wedding and then McKelty with her wedding demand. Yes.
And the second mortgage of it all. Okay, so I can't wait for season 11. So without further ado, though. Let's get into this recap of season 10, episode seven at Tatoa. Mary makes amends. Does she kind of? Does she? Does she? I mean, she painted some trees. Nobody was really feeling that. Least of all, Cody. That was pretty crazy. And second to Cody would be Leon. Leon with her attitude. Leon with her attitude. Not feeling it at all. At all. This episode was kind of all over the place. Honestly, we start off with like a recap of Ariela Mae, who's like a few weeks old or something. She's such a magical one. You're from baby. She's got this like calming effect. Like everyone who's around her just goes to sleep. She's so mean. She makes me feel safe. I don't know what it is, but I feel safe. I feel so safe with her. And Robin wants us to know that she's a little nervous about bringing this little baby
on a plane to Hawaii. And she just not sure if she's going to go. And so then it's like this, you know, lingering thing throughout the episode is Robin getting going to Hawaii. Don't go, nobody wants you to go anyway. Stay home, bitch. Sidebar. What do you think of like parents who take their three-month-old, two-month-old child on a plane for, I mean, what is this from Vegas? So from LA to Hawaii is like five hours. So we're talking probably, and if they're doing a stopover, it's going to be like a huge day. But if they're going, it's a straight shot. It's probably eight hours. Yeah. You're taking a little baby on an eight-hour flight. The baby's going to be crying the entire time. You're going to visit that upon everybody else, and that baby's not going to be happy either because you know when you lose pressure, the ears pop. I just don't understand. Why would you take a baby? I don't know. I'm sure there's situations where you might need to if you're moving around. They're going to Hawaii. But these people are going to Hawaii. And I'm like, maybe if Aurella is being like, if she's as chill as they're saying she
is, and if she doesn't cry in the plane, like, okay, fine. But if you're bringing your crying scream and baby, and you know you have a crying scream and baby, and you're bringing it on a flight, I hate those people. I'm just like, what are you doing? Have you, did you see that family that was like kicked off a flight because their kids were just screaming? So before they even left these kids were absolutely fine. Absolutely crashing out, screaming the entire time, and they actually kicked the family off the flight. Damn. And the family was so upset, but I'm like in the background like, well, but like if you can't control your kids, like, I don't know. Well, for example, your wife, my daughter, when she was two years old, three years old, was an absolute terrorist. When we would go to a restaurant, she, as soon as she perceived that we were in a restaurant, for some place that required a bit of decorum, she would flip the F out screaming, hitting
the table, snog coming out of her nose, just hugely loud. And did I sit there with her and make everybody in the restaurant have to try and eat their meals while my daughter is pitching the fit of all time? No, pick up my kid, I have to go sit with my kid outside in the car until she comes down. I will never do that. And in fact, when she was about three years old, I told my then husband, like, I'm no more restaurants, no more any of that until she can be a civilized little person, because it's embarrassing to me. She's not having fun. Oh, yeah. And everybody else is paying a lot of money to be there, just like everybody's paying to be on that flight. Yeah. I'm probably pissing off a lot of young people. Young people are in these so many cars. I'm sorry, but I just like a lot of people don't care. And then, you know, I know people like in the restaurant business and stuff, some parents bring their kids, their toddlers in, and they like smash the pancakes and they throw the straws and the food and they dump the drinks.
And then those parents just collect their children and leave the restaurant and leave the entire mess for somebody else to clean up. Yeah, that's what pisses me off more than anything. I'm like, if you're going to be that and consider it, that's crazy, because it's not like the waitress's job or the bus boys job to like clean up after your little kid. I mean, I get a little bit of a mess or whatever if you can't wipe the table down like fine, but you're just going to let your kids like throw all of their food on the ground and like you're not even going to make an effort to try and clean it up. Then you ain't shit. That's crazy. That's crazy to me. Do you remember a few years ago this lady got kicked out of her restaurant because she was literally changing a poopy diaper on the table where she was eating and everybody else was sitting around her. Something is going terribly awry on our planet right now. Dude, that's crazy. And I'm not saying this is the kind of mom that Robin is. Bring her young daughter on a plane, but I just I would never take a three month old baby on an eight hour flight to Hawaii or even like take them to Hawaii and put them through
all of that. No, yeah. And like I can kind of understand Robin's concern about it in this episode, but then I'm like, why'd you guys agree to this TLC funded trip then? Because they would never go otherwise unless TLC paid for it. Well, I'm like, then tell TLC to do it later in the year when Ariela is older. Like, I don't know. I feel like you guys have the power to do it. Maybe they don't have the power. That's crazy to me. So TLC is like, we're going to take you to Hawaii on spring break. Whether you like it or not. Yeah. Like that's stupid. I don't know. I don't know. The whole thing is like dumb in this episode. The way they're framing it is like Robin's all insecure and worried about it, but she ends up going in the air. Of course she does. So it's just like she was always going to go. It's just stupid. And then we have like a little segment with Mary and Janelle doing therapy with Nancy. They're really doing my therapist. Can we stop with Nancy? Is she even away? Oh, that's really interesting. Two different styles of being. Wow. Oh, go. Where are the paddles? And she's not doing any kind of therapeutic work at all.
No. She even licensed. I don't know. Is she an actress? I don't know. But how was your Thanksgiving marriage? Janelle, tell me about it. I want to know your feelings. And Janelle's like, it was very enlightening actually. It was very enlightening for me. Okay. Right. Well, because, you know, Janelle brings up the fact that she did fuck all with the preparations for Thanksgiving. She painted a bunch of cans badly. And you know, she was very overwhelmed. By Mary's need to kind of take over and organize. But like, what is Mary supposed to do when you do fuck all? And so they discussed their longstanding dynamic and got absolutely nowhere. They have clarity that these are the people they are. Yeah. But there's no plan to change. And then they come up with a really great idea of doing another crafting activity or another activity together in Hawaii as like a way of bonding with each other. And Mary even in her talking head is like, I don't know what the fuck we're going to do
together. Like, what are we going to do in Hawaii? Like, drink some, drink some of the beach. Like, oh, that would be fantastic. And now could be a bonding experiment. I don't know. My thought while watching all of this and like watching all of these scenes with Mary and Janelle this whole season is I'm like, this is BS. This is like a distraction from the fact that Mary and Cody's relationship is crumbling and that Mary had a full on affair online with a catfish. And a banana in her house. And a banana in her mouth. While in a tub. While in a tub. In a haunted house. While Leon was telling her to stop that shit, mom. Like, I feel like this is all orchestrated by TLC. Like, you know what? If you want to take the heat off of you and Cody. And the fact that you were an idiot and sucking on a banana. And a cheater. And a cheater. Let's focus on you and Janelle's relationship. If that were the case and Mary was trying to use therapy with Janelle to rehab her image, wouldn't she be less of a bitch because she's in therapy with like this stink face?
I know. All indignant that Janelle is calling her out for Thanksgiving and how she conducted herself. I'm like, well, there's no softness in Mary at all with anybody in the family. Maybe she's got softness with her friends, but we just really don't see it. Her walls are up. And so are Janelle's. And I do wonder like, why are we doing this? This is stupid. That's why I'm thinking like they're doing this as a distraction from the catfish scandal because they didn't want that heat on the family. Because honestly, if you look at it objectively, that was embarrassing, like for everybody involved. Yes. Like, and totally terrible for their image as this like perfect polygamous family. So let's shift the focus to something like Robin and her water breaking and exploding on her midwife. Did you see that I edited that? Yes, I did. Of course I did. Of course I did it. Robin has me again. But then it's like, we'll focus on that and Robin's birth and then Mary and Janelle
working on their things. But we're not going to talk about Cody and Mary. Like we talk about it a little bit in the next scene where Cody goes to Mary's house and like we're preparing for the Hawaii trip and you can tell its tense. Super tense. You can tell its awkward. Are we supposed to think that he's there for like their scheduled time together? I agree. Because it feels like he's just coming in to film the scene and then he's going to immediately bounce away. Totally. I did want to say in the segment with Janelle and Mary, Janelle said something interesting to the camera about how devastated the family would be if they lost Mary. Yeah. If Mary had decided to leave, like how that would have exploded their entire family. And just for me was such foreshadowing because in just a few years' time, you're going to leave, Christine's going to leave, and then Mary's going to leave everybody's leaving. Yeah, I thought that that was really poignant. What Janelle said. I think she said something like the repercussions of a wife leaving is like it could do more damage than we even know.
Something like that. She's just like, we can't even perceive the damage. I'm like, yeah, you're about to leave. Yeah, it's pretty fucked up. And we're laughing about it now. But like, back then, I'm like, the writing is on the wall. And so when Cody's at Mary's house, you can tell, they're having issues. And Cody kind of talks about it in his talking head. Like, you know, I'm really trying to rebuild this relationship. He says something like, I'm trying to warm up a relationship that's gone cold. Which for once I feel like is kind of a poignant statement, especially coming from Cody, because that is kind of what's happening here. But are we going to elaborate on it? Are we going to talk about it? No. No. Like, we're just going to shift the focus. And then we're going to pack for Hawaii. And it's going to be a chaotic mess because the Browns can't be organized with literally anything. You have Mindy, the babysitter, being like, I've been packed for weeks because I'm not like any of these fools. Because I'm a normal person and I've been thinking about this trip to Hawaii for a while.
And everyone else is packing like the night before they leave for the frickin' flight. But before that, in the middle of packing, Mary's like, hey, everybody, can you come to my house? I got a really important thing I gotta talk to you about. And everyone's like, what now? What now? Literally. Literally, why? And I thought it was kind of interesting how like you had multiple people. You had Cody and Janelle and Robyn all kind of saying the same thing of like, Mary doesn't tell us what she wants to talk to us about. So we're all just kind of going over there a little nervous and wondering what the hell this is all about. And Cody says something like, you know, every time in recent years, like Mary has had to talk to us about something, it's been bad. Like, it's been the cabbage. It's been the legal divorce. It's been like all these things. So I don't know what this could be. And of course, it's Mary being like, I got guests for you. I want you guys to know that I'm a part of this family. I went to sip and paint. And I got rollin' inspired, having a bottle of wine with my watercolors.
Yeah. And then Cody opens all of the paintings. And look, I will say to Mary's credit, it's kind of a sweet thing. Yes it is. And then the symbolism, I think it's very sweet that she made the point to do this for everybody. And when you see the final paintings, you can tell there was a lot of work put into them. And I do think they're true. Could you? Yeah. Okay. I think they're cute. Could you do that? No. If I went to a sip and paint. And I had some 21 year old painting teacher and had a glass of wine, I 100% could do that. Could you paint 23 times four trees? No. I could. Yes I could. Be a dress. But I mean not to downplay. It was a nice gesture. Yeah. Her intention was certainly lovely. But it was a little awkward to me because they all walked in. They're not knowing what to expect. And you know, Cody starts revealing these paintings. And Mary's like, do you notice anything in common with these paintings?
That's what I hated. Why? Because it's like the whole, like, can you guess the symbolism? No. I literally get like, why don't you just tell me? And I don't want to. No. Why am I here right now? Because what if I guess it wrong and then you're going to be offended? Like just tell me the purpose of these. Janelle actually says that. I'm just going to shut up and let somebody else guess. I'm not playing these games. Janelle's like, Mary speaking in riddles again. Yeah. So I'm just going to be crying. And I agree because I just, I hate when people do stuff like that. Like when they give me a gift and then they want me to guess what their intention was behind it. Like no, tell me. And then I'm going to give you the reaction that you want me to have because Mary was kind of expecting, especially Cody, to have a particular reaction about these trees that she painted for him. And she does end up explaining like the symbolism by them. I think Janelle and Christine reacted pretty good. Like Janelle knew immediately which painting was hers, which was the campfire one, which I thought was sweet. And Janelle thought that this was like a really sweet gesture. Christine knew exactly which one her painting was.
And she loved it. And she was very positive about it. But you have Cody and Robin with their stank faces. Robin's like, Oh, I guess the palm tree one is mine. Okay. That's great. Thanks, Mary. Oh my God. So beautiful. And then Cody's like, cool. And then Leon. And then Leon is on their phone the whole time. Not giving up. No. And I mean, not even looking at Mary. And Mary being like, I really wanted Leon to be there. So that way I could reach them. And I really wanted Leon to see that, you know, I'm a part of this family. And they care about everybody here. I'm not going anywhere. And I'm like, but did you do anything for Leon though? Did you talk to Leon? Did you talk to Leon? Did you have a meaningful conversation? You couldn't even pay to treat, pay to for Leon. No. There's nothing. So I was Leon there. I don't know. Holding the baby. Okay. And that's what they're doing pretty much. They're just sitting there at the table with Ariel and me. And I don't know. I felt for Mary in this because I do see that she's trying in her own kind of dumb way.
But at the same time, it's like Mary, after this affair. Thank you. Thank you. Like, I don't think a few tree paintings is going to like make everybody feel better about you. No, and it's really cowardly actually. You think so? Yes. Because you're giving paintings in lieu of having a conversation where you own every single thing that you did and talk about what you want to do in the future so that we can heal. No. Instead, you're going to paint some paintings and say, are we good now? Everybody okay? I want to be here so bad. I'm making a man's. Great talk. And I mean, Janelle and Christine are trying to be sweet about it and trying to accept her gesture. But like, you're not going to reach Robin and Cody with this. Yeah, but it's also about Mary doing this instead of what she should be doing because the thing she did, the scale and the scope of the thing she did is like really huge. And that's why Leon sitting there with a stink face because Leon understands that and
Mary won't admit it. And I think Cody understands that. And in order for Cody to be able to bridge the gap between him and Mary, he's going to have to hear something from Mary that's meaningful besides painting a painting for him. And I just like, Mary is so incapable of self-reflection and admitting the things that she's done wrong. To the full extent. Like she can say, well, I engaged in this inappropriate friendship. Okay. But she can't like fully own the fact that it was an affair. And like, I know people are going to be in the comments being like, well, but Cody, a bandit, and she was a, of course, he was a bad husband. Of course. Totally. Like, nobody's denying that. And Cody has to also be willing to work on this relationship too. Like it does take two here. I think Mary is trying to bridge the gap in her own way, even though it is a little stupid. And maybe she has been admitting things in therapy because- It's what a first grader would do. They'd go to school and they would make you an aftray and bring it back. Well, maybe they're talking about it in therapy, but we are in privy to those conversations because- I highly, I highly doubt it.
Instead, we got to talk about Mary and Janelle's dumb relationship. But Cody does say something like, you know, we're having a lot of safe talks with Nancy and Sarah Pist. Is it? Yeah. It's a huge noise. But he doesn't really go into detail about it. And I'm just thinking, you aren't talking about anything. You're not talking about any of the real issues. I don't think they're talking about shit, really. And they haven't been for a long time. And they don't want to either. No, yeah. They don't want to confront anything that's going on in this family. At all. And I think Mary doesn't want to confront herself in that situation. I think Cody doesn't want to confront the fact that he does love Mary. I think that's what's kind of going on here. But he knows that inside of himself at this point. He just doesn't want to actually tell Mary that, right? That's what I'm saying. I feel like at this point, right now in season 10, Cody is realizing, I don't love any of these bitches except for Robin. And I don't think he wants to admit it. And he still can't really admit it even in these current seasons. Like, I mean, he says it after they leave him. But he doesn't really like say it before that happens.
And then he takes it back in the next season. Exactly. So, I don't know. It's sad to see Mary try to give this gesture, but it's falling on deaf ears. And it's kind of like, well, what do you expect? I don't know. I don't know what you expect. At this point in time, it's like, what, six or seven months after the catfish or something or a few months after that because it happened over the summer. We just passed the holidays. So it hasn't been a lot of time to really heal and deal with the backlash of this. So it's awkward. But then we're just going to shove that away in our suitcases and fly to Hawaii. And we have to talk about how it's so crazy and hectic because we have a 1 million people flying on this plane. If I was on this plane with this family, I would be so sick. My God. Sitting at the gate and seeing an entire family of Mormons, God bless Mormons. Actually, Mormons are great. I've known a lot of really great Mormons, but just like an entire family of like kids. And I would just be like, please no. Oh my God. This is not my flight, right?
And then they sit down at your gate. Oh, please not near my seat. And they sit right next to you. I could not. It's almost as bad as those flights that have those like choir kids on them. Oh, okay. And they're like singing their choir songs. About Jesus' wedding. They're always like songs about Jesus. Yeah. And I love that for you that you let Jesus. Jesus is great, but like not everybody wants to hear your song about Jesus. No, have you seen that TikTok of that girl who goes to like the Sistine Chapel? Or it's like it's one of the great cathedrals that's either in England or Italy somewhere. And in the middle of the chapel, she starts singing some song and somebody's filming her in the middle of the chapel. Middle of this worshipful. Is she singing like on tune? Yeah. She has a nice voice, but I don't care. If that were me, I would, if I were in that cathedral, I would roundhouse kick her right in the face. I'd be laughing.
That's some of my favorite cringe content. And I always send it to your daughter because she hates it. Is people just like singing in public and they're really bad at singing. And they're like so serious about it because they fancy themselves as like really amazing singers and musicians and stuff, but they're horrible. I love that content. And every time I send it to your daughter, she's like, I can't watch it. Because she's got the voice of an angel. And she does. And she's got a wonderful voice. If she was singing in public, people would stop and be like, oh my god, what a beautiful voice. She would never, because she's a normal person. I know. It's like people who stop traffic and just start dancing to some tick-tock. Like I would run you over. I would honk. I would threaten you with my car. I would break several laws. I would brandish a weapon. Nothing I have one. But I would be just such a Karen. Have you seen, I know we're going on a tangent. Have you seen the Instagram page called Influencers in the Wild? No. There is. Glorious. Why don't you share this stuff with me. I'll have to send it to you. I'll send you a few videos. But Influencers in the Wild on Instagram is fantastic. Because it's a bunch of people catching these tick-tock influencers doing their stupid dances
and stuff in public. So they're filming them as they're doing their thing and they're filming in public. And it's always at like a beach and they've got their thong up their ass or like they're in public and they're like blocking traffic or they're blocking a store entrance or something. It's so great. What a mind virus. It's like our current day zombies. Yeah. Pretty much. Pretty much. And silicone. I really wouldn't attack anyone physically guys. I wish. Well, what? I wouldn't. I don't. But it gives me flames. It gives me rage. The main character syndrome. Some of these people. Yeah. Like just singing at the top of your lungs in the middle of a cathedral where people are like lighting candles because they've got loved ones that are sick and stuff. Flames. Anyway, back to sister why. Back to the spectacle that is the brown family. Yeah. Like taking a giant bus to the airport and then two buses. Yeah. Two buses. And then flying into Hawaii and then talking about how they're taking up like a third of
the baggage claim area. Like just end me if I was there at the airport. I'd be so pissed. Like where's my luggage? Right. And then I went to this stupid family with all these cameras and stuff around them. Did you recognize where they were at? I did. Where were they at? They were in Kona. I don't know what that is. It's Kona. Oh, sorry. They're in Kona, which is on the island, the big island, the island of Hawaii. And I don't know if you saw when they were driving by the sign that said volcano. Yeah, I did see that. So volcano is where I spent many years with my childhood. Oh, God. In the town of volcano. Were you triggered? No. So safe space for you. It's safe. But it was, I spent a lot of time there and it was situated right on the crater. Wow. Kilauea, which is the volcano that is currently erupting still. Yeah. And that's where I lived, ton. Wow. Went to school in Hilo. So I spent a lot of my youth on the big island and then I moved to Oahu, which is where Honolulu is, where there's, at the time, was more civilization.
But yeah, it was, it was interesting. So that's Kona. That's the other side of the island from where I was. Is it pretty touristy? Yes. Yeah. That makes sense. It is pretty touristy. Did you hate the tourists there? No, I didn't. But, you know, I was pretty young. And my parents actually worked at Kilauea Military Camp. My father was the bartender, which was so great for him as an alcoholic. My mother worked there as well. And so you had tourists that were coming in and leaving a lot. So that was part, the industry itself was like, my family worked with that industry. And it's the biggest industry where I was at the time in Hawaii, was the tourism industry. And back then, you had assemblons of respect for that and then for tourists because they were coming into your economy and they were bringing a lot of money. But now, you're of our 2026. It ain't the same over there, honey. I was wondering about that because it is a big part of the economy there. But at the same time, it's like a double-edged sword because now you got all these like
boomers and stuff moving to Hawaii. Well, you just have also a lot of tourists and the ecological damage that it's actually doing to reefs and things of that nature. And also the disparity of the wealth that's coming in vis-a-vis the tourists versus like the indigenous Hawaiians and the people who actually live there who are like working literally for jobs just to have a rundown condo, walk up condo. It creates attention that, you know, I think a lot of places are actually experiencing like for example, Spain. Oh, yeah. I've seen that too. Madrid and things of that nature, Barcelona or whatever. Like there's a lot of places that are just sick, Ted death of tourists. I bet. I've always wanted to visit Hawaii just to say that I was there. But at the same time, I have such a conflicted view on it because I don't really want to be contributing to that problem at the same time. Well, if you go to Hawaii, just take me. Yeah. I get there. I am right back to speaking pigeon and kind of just being in the vernacular and the energy
of that place. And also I would take you to the right island because I don't want to go to the wrong islands. Yeah. Yeah. So they're on the big island where the volcano is. That makes sense. Well, so then they get checked into there. Are they like renting a house? A bootie-ass house. It seemed like they were renting a big-ass bootie-ass house. Yes. But that's cool. Every wife has their own little suite or something. Nice. They share it with their kids and stuff. And of course, Cody is going to be in Robin's suite the entire time. And then of course the older brothers and older sisters are going to share their own rooms. So it's nice that they have a cool setup and stuff. And the first night that they get there, they got food catered or something. But of course, the eldest siblings like Logan Michelle and Maddie and Caleb are like, dooses. We're dipping. We're going to go on a double date. And they go on a double date and that's kind of like where we end the episode with their little date. And it like, there wasn't that much that was interesting in this. I mean, we got to hear a little bit from Logan and his like schooling and same with thing with Michelle. I was surprised to hear that both of them are like in grad school and Logan's looking
at PA school. He wants to be a physician's assistant, which I think is great. And they're kind of- Which he never does though, right? I don't know. I think he was getting her graduate degree in criminal justice. I think so. So maybe she's like going to law school or something. I have no idea. I have no idea. And he was going to school to be a physician's assistant. But I definitely don't think that's what he ended up doing. I don't know. I thought he was like a personal trainer or something. But he's like also out of the limelight. So maybe we're talking out our ass and we don't really know. I don't know. If you know what Logan does or what's going on, let us know. It was kind of cute to see them so young. And I like that they're still together to this day. Same thing with Maddie and Caleb. I think that that's very sweet. That they've found their people at such a young age and stuff. And you know, Logan and Michelle kind of talk about where they might relocate and move to because of their schooling and stuff. And Michelle's like, it's not an ultimatum. But I don't really want to move anywhere with you unless we're engaged. And you got to rock on my finger. Smart girl.
And that's fair. I think that's great. She's really pretty also. Beautiful eyes. So beautiful. And Logan obviously loves her. And then Maddie and Caleb kind of talk about their wedding and how Maddie is going to do something so unconventional. Her dad's going to marry him. Great. Awesome. Amazing. And I'm like that age like milk. I wonder how she feels about it now because she does never relationship with her dad. I hope that she cherishes the memory because I think at the time, if I recall correctly, I think Cody was really honored to be able to do it. And it was a very special moment. So I want to think that that was authentic and genuine. And maybe she looks back fondly on it. I really liked the part in this segment where Maddie was addressing Logan and Michelle and talking about Logan's experience growing up in the family because I want to say she's the only one to date who really fully articulated what Logan went through. And you know, Maddie just straight up says he was our parent.
Yeah. He was the quintessential big brother. He had all of the responsibility. He really didn't have an opportunity to go out and have fun and do all the things that he wanted to do as a young man because he had to take care of us and be our parent in effect. You know, until Michelle came along and now she just loves seeing Logan being happy and having this lightness of being and being with somebody who also truly loves him back. And Maddie says something like, you know, he's been with people who haven't valued him in that way. But now with you, like, I just feel so happy that you found each other. And that was really a beautiful testimony. Yeah. And the fact that she cried about it too, I'm like, man, you can really feel the emotion. That's her dad. That's her dad. That's her real dad. And she said something very important where she was like, he's been an adult his whole life. And I'm like, damn, dude. And you're right. She is really the only one that I think we've heard articulated that way because I think we tend to talk about the eldest daughters a lot of the time. And, you know, they definitely did a lot of work too.
Like, Aspen was the mom in this situation as well. But like Logan really has always been at the leaderboard. And because Cody was just, you know, flopping his hair around and like selling signs and stuff in downtown Wyoming, like Logan really did have to step up for not just his siblings with Janelle, but like all of them. Everyone. And that's a big task. You know, you can tell when Maddie is articulating this to him. He's kind of, he almost looks uncomfortable a little bit like to be perceived in this way or acknowledged in this way because that's a really hard place to be like, you didn't really get to have much of a childhood. Like, when you're a pre-rentified kid, you don't get to really experience childhood to the fullest extent because you're worrying about everybody else. And I was thinking about it to this day. Like, we know Logan and Michelle don't have kids right now. And I'm like, maybe there's a fucking reason. And I would probably be the same boat. Yeah. And I was Logan be choosing to be child free. Yeah. I just want to live my own life and be self determining without having to take care of
another person besides my wife. Yep. Exactly. Totally fair. I'm sitting here wondering, I wish I could remember everybody's sign. Oh, yeah. Because I'm like, he gives interesting energy. He's got a very grounded energy, but there's definitely water in there and maybe even a little bit of fire. But like, there's emotionality, what I'm trying to say. And I know a lot of you don't care about astrology. And I don't either actually, but it is interesting, like how there are some themes that actually seem to bear out when you look at people. But he just seems like there's a lot happening under the surface of who he is. And he's never really, maybe until Michelle, he's never really had an opportunity. To allow that to be expressed because he's, I don't know, I don't know what kind of conversation this Janelle would have had with Logan. I don't know what kind of space she is, mother or Cody, as a father would have been able to give him. But it just feels like there's a lot of emotion underneath.
Oh, yeah. I'm wondering if he even talks to any of the parents. He probably talks to his mom and stuff, but I want to say I heard recently that he does, he does communicate with like Christine and he shows up to stuff as well. And he might speak to Cody. I'm not sure. I wonder. Me too. Because if I was Logan and I kind of have been at periods of time in my life like first born daughter, that's why you know, you, you go through a period of time where you're pretty angry at your parents for a while and you do just kind of have to sit with that for a bit until it kind of passes. And it usually passes with time and obviously therapy and stuff like that and really just reflecting on your life. But I just wonder if he had a period where he was angry at his parents and it would be totally justified honestly. But I maybe he's in that period now or maybe he hasn't had it at all. Maybe he's better than me. I don't fucking know. I did look up his birthday. He's a Gemini son.
I don't know his full birth chart, but May 21st. He's only two years older than me. He's very cuspy with Taurus though. A little bit. A little bit of a cuspy with Taurus. Okay. Gemini. Wow. Okay. That's interesting. So maybe he's got like a water moon or something. Well, but I mean Gemini though, you've got two different aspects. You've got the face that you show everybody and then you've got the other one that you can also slip into. That tends to be pretty emotional. Exactly. Anyway, enough about astrology. But I love Logan. I love Maddie in this moment. I think the four of them, all of these young people together like starting out their lives. It's a beautiful thing. I'm glad that they're doing it away from the rest of the chaos of the family. Honestly. Because they don't the Cheos of the things out of the Cheos. The Cheos. They don't need that. And I hope they have a wonderful time in Hawaii. Yeah. And it's just interesting to watch these seasons back and to see how much the family is really changing. Like it's not just Mary and the catfish and it's not just Cody's favoritism of Robin just growing. But like Cody and Robin just had a baby.
But then you have these eldest kids marrying off and running away kind of a thing and doing their own adult lives. And like that's so much for one family to really handle. And then you still have all these other kids in the middle that are still trying to do life, you know, and go through school and stuff like that. And I don't know. It's just it's crazy to watch it back and then to see what it is now. And you can see and you can tell why all these older kids have kind of dipped out of filming over the years. Oh sure. You know, like they were screwed. Totally screwed. And I wouldn't want to be a part of this shit. All honestly. And then we get to the preview for the next couple of episodes. Again, we're skipping that Cody episode. I don't give a fuck. I don't got time for that. We've got a behind the scenes. Fuck you. I'm Cody. No thing. Absolutely not. So the next episode we'll watch is going to be like the continuation of the Hawaii trip where Cody is yelling at Christine on a beach, which I can't wait to see what that's about. And then we have Maddie asking Cody to marry them.
And he says he's deeply honored but also terrified because he doesn't want to fuck it up. And I think that that does come from a genuine place. And I do think that he probably feels some kind of honor for it. And then we have like a conversation about Caleb's dad not being able to marry them because his mom got diagnosed with cancer and she's got only a couple years to live or according to the doctors. And so it's a tense situation. It also kind of makes sense why they're rushing the wedding and wanting it to be done right away. And then we have McKelty coming on in with her black hair and saying, I'm a guy. I'm a blue and I know she's going to tell Christine. I see a future with him and I want to get married. And I think if I remember correctly, she wants to get married like three months after Maddie, which is ridiculous. Yeah, I remember the timeline being in question like at one point she wanted to get married before Maddie. Yeah. Like almost as if to steal her thunder. Pretty much. Yeah. And then like, Cody and Christina are like, absolutely not.
And Christine is so averse to the idea of McKelty getting hitched to the difference between how she responded to Maddie and Caleb and how she's going to respond to McKelty and Tony is like night and day. And honestly, McKelty in terms of maturation, she is at a different level than Maddie. That's clear. But at the same time, it's a little weird. And so as we watch it together, I will have some commentary. I can already tell you that. Oh, yeah. I'm not saying Maddie, Christine actually for her reaction to McKelty because like you cannot approve of too many talk with Tony, that's fine. Or whatever, but like, don't shit all over. Exactly. Her happiness. It's her joy. Right. But he does, he's going to be unsufferable. Oh, I know. I can't wait. He's going to talk about Roundhouse kicking somebody. Ooh. Does that make me? Doesn't make me good. Don't make me do it. You know, I will. I know you will. If I could lift my leg. Do you think I could lift my leg to do a Roundhouse kick? Come on now. You're a limber. No. No way. Well, is there anything else that we should say to these beautiful raccoons before we
get about out of here, Beatrice? Well, we love you. And if you love us, make sure you leave us a five star review on your favorite podcast platform. It'll be really appreciated by us. And that's it. We will be back next week to talk sister wives and maybe some pop culture of things pop off. Until then, please do not forget that we have nothing but love for you. And peace. And light. Bye. Bye.
