35. Trans Widow: Navigating Divorce and Despair with a Trans Husband | Ute Heggen

Ute Heggen, a retired teacher, is now a butterfly gardener in the Hudson Valley. Her memoir, "In the Curated Woods: True Tales from a Grass Widow," chronicles her journey of healing after her husband's secret crossdressing life, while raising their traumatized sons. Ute used the term *grass widow* in her book title, while *trans widow* is the more commonly used term for women whose husbands decided to "live full time as a woman."
