Michaéla C. Schippers is a Professor of Behaviour and Performance Management at Rotterdam School of Management, Erasmus University Rotterdam. She holds a PhD in Psychology from the Free University in Amsterdam. Her research interests include goal setting, team performance, academic performance, ikigai (purpose in life), and life goals. She coined the term "life crafting" to optimize performance and happiness. She collaborated with Jordan Peterson and published a paper on how setting life goals closed the gender and ethnic minority performance gap. They also spoke together on a podcast about the pandemic of narcissism. Her work has been published in leading academic journals and she has been interviewed by CNN, New York Magazine, and O Magazine. She has been a visiting scholar at Harvard Business School and is involved in various projects and initiatives aimed at making the world a better place.
