About this episode
Phil is in Bible college when he falls in love with Jane, the president’s daughter. She spurns him and becomes an army nurse. His friends encourage him to pursue her, and he visits her with an engagement ring. She interrogates him on his theological position so he keeps the ring. Still a magician, he entertains troops but is deferred from serving because he’s in seminary. He and Jane ultimately marry and then go to Japan as missionaries. Old friend, Don Hoke, visits them and also comes to Japan as a missionary. Phil, 93, still serving God.
