Mike’s parents divorce when he is 12, and he drifts into using and dealing drugs. A friend’s uncle shares the gospel. When his girlfriend is arrested, he becomes an informant to the police, yet he continues to deal and burglarize with a friend, who plans to rob the safe of a local business. Mike’s girlfriend is released from jail, saving him from being considered as a suspect in a crime that ends in murder. Mike-the-informer becomes a pariah who attempts suicide until God speaks to his heart, and he listens. He reads the Bible at his uncle’s place in the mountains, gets his GED and joins the USAF, becoming a trainer of dogs and a SWAT instructor. Afterward, he joins the Houston Police Department, serving for 20 years. Now seeking full-time ministry.
