Suzanne suffers dizzy spells from age two. Her parents’ lack of love leads to hiding her feelings. Seven deaths, including her father’s from cancer, during her teenage years harden her to loss. She rebels, meets Kyle and they are forced to marry when she becomes pregnant. The baby needs surgery for deformities, and she doesn’t bond. She commits adultery several times, meets Russ and files for divorce when she becomes pregnant again. Her second marriage doesn’t fill the void in her life, so she works in the hospital, then is laid off. Both her sons leave because of her temper, and the estrangement sends her into depression. She visits her brother, where riding horses brings joy but parting brings rage. Her sister-in-law quotes Bible verses. When her husband threatens to leave her, she cries out for release and is saved. God heals the marriage, the dizziness and her sons’ relationship.
