285: Marvel's Avengers, GeForce RTX 30 Series and Nintendo Switch Future
About this episode
This week we bring Jason back onto the podcast to talk about Marvel's Avengers. It's the latest game from Crystal Dynamics and Square Enix and it features some major Avengers characters in a brand new story. The story is surprisingly good for what is meant to be a fuller live service game. The live service aspect on the other hand still leaves some things to be desired. We dive deep into the game itself with the campaign, the post-game content and what we feel the game will look like a month or two from now.
In our news, NVIDIA announces their next-gen 30 Series RTX graphic cards. The big deal here is they're at least twice as powerful as their best cards on the market for nearly the same price. It's an incredible feat and definitely a move that puts PC's back on the top in the arena of graphics. We also talk about a potential next-gen Oculus Quest, the announcement of Super Mario 3D All-Stars and much more!
Our discussion has us exploring the future of the Nintendo Switch. With next-gen launching this year, Switch has been quiet only with launching Animal Crossing and Paper Mario beyond a bunch of indie titles. What will the future look like for the Switch? Will we see a new console upgrade next year? What games do we want to see come out?
Our friend Jason has also launched a new podcast called the Skip, Rent, Buy Podcast. It's a podcast featuring movie reviews, industry news and various discussions about the movie world. You can check it out on Instagram here. Find the podcast on your favorite podcast app.
