284. Listening Well and Practicing Simple Hospitality

This week, we did something rare – we sat down and actually watched a movie, Twisters! Our kids have been raving about it, and turns out, it wasn’t just because we’re from Kansas. It's a thrilling and quite clean movie (just a small bit of language), which is not always easy to find these days, so if you haven't seen it, I definitely recommend it!

We also talk about politics -- something I don't do much of on the internet. We talk about our setup on election night with multiple screens and streams, my Electoral college predictions, and how I tried to really listen to what people were saying on both sides this election and what I learned from that.

In addition, we share about hosting guests recently and how we practical very simple hospitality and some ideas for reaching out and loving people well. We also discuss a message we heard at church recently and the hope it gives us, despite the division we can feel in our country.
