Treasury.MS.gov 25 years after the September 11th terrorist attacks, Mississippi continues to remember the four people with ties to the state who were among the nearly 3,000 Americans killed that day. Fox's Jennifer Griffin with more on the Pentagon crash. At exactly 9.37 a.m., American Airlines flight 77 crashed into the western facade of the Pentagon 25 years ago today. Today as the sun rose, a giant American flag was unfurled at the point of impact from those 25 years ago. A nod to the firefighters who responded to the Pentagon attack, unfurling the flag over the smoldering rubble a day after the attacks.

Those three firemen were present at the Pentagon's ceremony today. Traveling at 530 miles per hour, American Airlines flight 77 tore through the Pentagon's E-ring, igniting a fireball that ripped through three of the Pentagon's five rings. Three of the four Mississippians killed that day and lost their lives at the Pentagon. I'm Griffin Ray. A super talk Mississippi media production.
