About this episode
Today's SWAPA Number is 23. That's the number of days the Company has decided all labor groups have to negotiate a 10% pay concession or face the threat of furloughs. On October 8th, VP of Labor Relations, Russell McCrady, issued a memo to all union members setting a November 1st deadline to complete negotiations. In the same letter and repeated again during a Company town hall event last week, Labor Relations claim that Southwest unions, including SWAPA, have had more then six months to prepare. Today on the show we're going to cover some highlights from our NC's virtual meeting held on October 15th so you can hear directly from our negotiators and see that 23 days really is the window we've been given and what SWAPA's response to it is.
