『First Love』，宇多田光的出道專輯，1999年3月10日發行。全部12首歌都是宇多田作詞作曲。收入了「Automatic/time will tell」，「Movin' on without you」兩張單曲，後來專輯同名曲「First Love」也有單曲化。全部作品是宇多田14歳到15歳約一年間製作的。
專輯首周銷售是當時歴代第三名的202.7萬張，一個月後已經破500萬張，這是日本前無古人的紀錄。日本累積總銷售量765萬張，全世界約1000萬張。
Timing（タイミング）是黑色餅乾第二張單曲，1998年4月22日發售。出貨200萬張，Oricon累積銷售約148萬張，是1998年度單曲榜第四名，日本音樂史上單曲銷售第88名。年底黑色餅乾和口袋餅乾一起出場了第49回NHK紅白歌合戦。
在綜藝節目小內小南火焰挑戰者中，黑色餅乾是和口袋餅乾對抗的反派角色，在單曲競爭中Timing勝出，口袋餅乾的「My Diamond」母帶直接被銷毀。
