1:19Welcome back to the P.F.F. NFL show, Trevor Sikham, Adon Washman here with you guys, for the beginning of free agency, baby. Let's go. We're already cooking. It's new and on a Monday. Free agency is about to open up. We've already got some massive trades and moves here and there that are changing everything, though, and changing the outlook of teams, changing some draft strategies, the finances are obviously going to change a ton this week. It's a major week of the NFL calendar, so how are you doing, my friend? You ready for it? Good. I'm excited, Trevor. These are some of the most exciting episodes we have, because we really don't know for however long we're about to be on what's going to happen, right? We've already got a lot of moves that have happened over the past week or so. Some of them really game changing moves for some of these franchises. I think this week is going to be a lot of fun as it was last year. Yeah, honestly, I feel as though we're going to be going... I don't feel as though this is going to happen. This is going to happen. We're going to be live with you guys every single day at noon Eastern to recap all the craziness that is going to be free agency, because it's not just the players that are on the free agent market. It's also a lot of the trades that we're seeing. A lot of the players are going to get cut. I say this to people all the

2:24time. The difficult part about draft evaluation specifically isn't necessarily plugging a good player into a team that could really use it. The difficult part of predicting what's going to happen in the NFL draft is the moves that you never thought a team would make. Trading a player, cutting a player, whatever it is, signing a player. That's the tough part is trying to predict those things, and that's why free agency week is absolutely crazy. We've already got some major trades that we're going to talk about. We're going to talk about the Max Crosby trade. We're going to talk about the Tremac Duffy trade. We're going to talk about the DJ Moore trade as well, how this changes things for these teams, both the ones that got rid of the players and the ones that are acquiring the players. We'll talk about that from an outlook standpoint when it comes to wins losses as well as the NFL draft, but can we start with Tua? Can we start talking with Tua here because early in the morning, and obviously we're doing this on a Monday morning, it's announced that Tua is going to be designated as a post June 1 cut for the Miami Dolphins, getting nearly

3:26$100 million of deadcap to the Miami Dolphins. I think that it is a very interesting strategy of the Dolphins. I wonder how much they try to navigate this for like Tua to take a little bit of a pay cut or for him to, you know, be on the roster next year so they can spread out some of the dead money over the next two years that followed instead of eating it over the next two seasons, but hey, maybe the Dolphins are just saying we are not going to be good this upcoming season, who cares? Let's eat as much of the deadcap as possible. But Tua becomes a free agent, and then we have learned that the likely landing spot, at least the one that everyone is talking about, is him potentially with the Atlanta Falcon. So first of all, Dalton, your thoughts about Tua getting released, that massive contract that he signed that obviously he did not live up to at all whatsoever, and then him potentially as a fit for the Falcons, likely signing on a vet minimum deal now that he's still getting so much money from the Dolphins after getting cut. Yeah, I mean, there's still

4:27obviously potential with Tua and he's got his limitations and he needs, I think going to Atlanta, if he does, it would be a smart move because he needs to be on a team with a good offensive line, right? He has his limitations. He doesn't have much mobility and he needs to be able to step up into the pocket and make throws over the middle of the field. I think he can do that in Kevin's to Fansky's offense. You talk about a target like Drake London and Kyle Pits, and obviously, we know Atlanta can run the ball with Beige on Robinson. It is right now a much better environment for him to go to. Now when he's healthy right now, it's assumed to be Michael Pentax Jr's team, but I also think the Falcons are going into this season with a wait and see approach with Pentax, one with his health and two, just trying to decide if he's their franchise quarterback. I think two is a great insurance option if Pentax is either ineffective or not healthy. So I think it's a really good move for both sides. And what we have to remember with the Dolphins, we're really now seeing phase two of this team resetting their salary cap, right? Last year, they traded Jalen Ramsey. They traded John U Smith right now. They're cutting Tua and Tyree Kale and, you know, there's other trade rumors surrounding this team. They traded Mika Fitzpatrick to the Jets also for a seventh

5:29rounder, pretty much just to get the money off the book. So the Dolphins are going through a full-tilt rebuild now. They really started this last year starting to reset their salary cap, but I think you have to look at this as a complete rebuilding, a complete reconstruction, probably over the next two years for the Miami Dolphins and two, you know, at $1 million or just over $1 million on the veterans minimum, I think it's a really good deal for the Falcons who we know are looking for a backup after losing Kurt Cousins. Okay, I am quickly getting out my phone for the calculator here to very quickly do this math because Alec Pierce just resigned with the Indianapolis Colts at a number of 116 million over four years. That is $29 million a year. I think that if you were talking about Alec Pierce before this season, getting anything close to 30 million people would have been like, you are out of your mind. But for how he played this past season and how valuable he was with the Colts as a deep threat type of wide receiver, that very clearly increased his market 10 fold. I do think that it's kind of funny that for the longest time

6:33over the last week and a half specifically, it was like, what are they going to do? You know, if he hits free agency, you know, he's going to take his time. All of these teams are going to be interested, all that kind of stuff. And the second that legal tampering opens, he reassigns with the Colts. I don't know. I just think that the timing is pretty funny. Obviously, it's pretty pending to get Alec Pierce back, but overall thoughts with him staying in Indianapolis instead of going to another team dog because I feel as though if you're getting 29 from the Colts, 29 a year from the Colts, he was going to get close to that in really a lot of other situations that he could have potentially gone to. So thoughts about him returning to Indianapolis here. I think it makes a lot of sense for the Colts. Obviously, they're trying to continue to build this offense. You've got Alec Pierce as the deep threat. You've got Josh Downs as the underneath threat. You've got Tyler Warren, who had a great rookie year at Titan. I think the next domino here is Michael Pittman, possibly getting traded. He's also got a $29 million cap hit this year. They save 24 million of that by trading him. I fully expect him to be on the trade block very soon with the news of Alec Pierce resigning now. And look, I think they're just trying to stay

7:35young on this offense. They're trying to stay explosive. And they had to do this in order to stay explosive with Daniel Jones, most likely coming back for another year. There's some intense negotiations there. And they do have him on the transition tag for over $37 million this year. If he doesn't sign a long term deal, but it's a great deal for Pierce. I mean, this was expected to be his market in the high 20s to get 29 million a year from the Colts, where he's already comfortable, where he's known to be a vertical threat in this offense. I think it makes a lot of sense. And look, it's going to be a lot to live up to. But for the Colts to keep this continuity and then probably spend the rest of their offseason building their defense, it makes a lot of sense. Yeah. Man, I was there was there was there another landing spot outside of any Annapolis that you really would have liked for him. I don't know if they would have been in the market, but like the commanders in theory, if Terry McLauren is also fully healthy, like I was doing a mock trap the other day. And I thought to myself, well, if you're just kind of punting on the fact that your defense is going to be really bad this upcoming season, if you sign Alec Pierce, you would have Alec Pierce, you would have Terry McLauren, you obviously Jayden Daniels fully

8:39healthy, you're hoping. And then if you drafted like Jeremiah, I love it. Seven all of a sudden, that offense is completely different. You're stretched in the ball consistently down the field, which is what Jayden loved to do when he was at LSU. So the commanders are one of those teams that was monitoring pretty closely, prepares, but anybody else for his services that you thought about that could have been a good fit for him. For me, I would have loved to see him stay in the same division, but go to Tennessee, right? I think Cam Ward needs a vertical threat like that in their offense. I like some of the young guys that they have. Alec, I am a minor, right? Chimray, DK, Gunnar, Helm at tight end, but I think to get that over the top threat for a vertical passer like Cam Ward. And that's still, you know, the argument sometimes when we see guys like Carnell Tate mock to the Titans at fourth overall, because Cam Ward needs that vertical threat. That's what he wants to do is attack downfield. So I would have loved to see him cross to a division rival in Tennessee, but he's standing in. All right. So we hit to a, we hit, we had Alec Pierce off the top of the show. Oh, we should probably hit on the Trent Williams thing, right? Because that also just came out that the Niners are actually open to trading him if they can't get a deal done, because over the last

9:43couple of weeks, there's been reports that, hey, he's not happy with his contract. He's like an extension. He liked that, that, that reworked. And Trent doesn't have a lot of time left his NFL career to earn a major payday, but certainly even for his, for how he has played over the last couple of seasons, hasn't been prime Trent Williams. No, but it's been, it's been certainly good enough, which I really like what you're getting out of that offensive tackle spot. So other teams will be willing to pay for this player. So thoughts overall on the Niners, even opening up this possibility here for Trent Williams. And then I don't even know, have you even thought of landing spots? I haven't even thought of landing spots yet, because I just didn't think the guy was leaving San Francisco. Um, I, I think the Kansas City stands out. Maybe you move Josh Simmons over to the right side. Kansas City, um, Detroit with Taylor Decker, at least requesting his release. I don't know if that's been granted yet. Detroit makes a lot of sense to me Chicago. I mean, if you're talking short term, right? And you've got Aussie Trappillo's injury and Braxton Jones probably leaving, right? They don't really have a starting left tackle ready to go week one. If Chicago were to really ante up and get him in Ben Johnson's offense, I think that would be a lot of fun. I mean,

10:47you're talking about a player who would improve any offense that he goes to. Maybe the, you know, the Green Bay Packers, I know they've made a lot of big moves over the last two off seasons already. Pittsburgh would, would make sense to me. He'd be a major upgrade there. I think there's so many spots out, right? This is, this is one of the still at even at his age, one of the elite players in football, still a top five tackle in all of football and the type of player with his skills, especially if you leave him in a similar system. Let's say the Bears were to do that. Um, I think you're talking about a guy you move mountains for, right? I mean, he's still one of the best players in football. So those are just some that stand out. I think Kansas City might get the most speculation out of any of them because he could really change the look of their offensive line and they need that badly. I, I just have such a hard time thinking that he's going to leave San Francisco, given the fact that their, their, their window is still open. They really just need to get a lot more healthy there at that point. Let's dig into some of these trades. Let's talk about the Max Crosby trade first. So Max Crosby ends up going to the Baltimore Ravens. They get a first round pick this year and

11:48then they get a first round pick next year. So two first round picks going to Las Vegas and then the Ravens obviously receiving Max Crosby. I think it's, it's sort of like a duh to be like, oh, yeah, yeah, like Max Crosby is a great addition for the Ravens. Like, of course he is. I think the way that I want to ask this question and the discussion that I want to have here with Crosby is which side do you think this trade was bigger for? Do you think that it was bigger for the Raiders with their rebuild getting those two first round picks? Or do you think it was bigger for the Ravens trying to capitalize on taking back that division and being, you know, the players and being a team that has a quarterback that allows you to be in a winning window to reach a Super Bowl. Which team do you actually think that this Max Crosby trade was bigger for? Picking, I'll tell you what, picking one side is tough because I think the Raiders got very fair value and they waited to get fair value. There was reportedly offers from Chicago and Dallas and even Jacksonville and they did not have to do this, right? The Raiders didn't have to trade Max

12:49Crosby. It was just a matter of getting the right value. I think when you talk about getting the 14th overall pick and you know me with this 2027 draft class, the more first round picks, you can get in that class the better you're doing. So the Raiders, I think, understand that they're in a full tilt rebuild. They're going to have a new quarterback. They have a new head coach. Everything on the field is going to be brand new and yeah, they're going to even with Crosby, they would have had to rebuild the defense anyway. It was one of the worst defenses in football. So they did a nice job waiting for the right value, taking their time to really assess the situation and even this year to get the 14th overall pick. I mean, that could be anything. It could be another offense alignment. It could be a wide receiver. It could be a new star defensive player with all the star defensive talent in this draft class. I really think it's a pretty fair trade, but I have to like it for the Raiders. I mean, you got a mid first round pick and maybe it is another pick in the 20s next year and what's supposed to be a really good draft class. But this is a long-term project here with the Raiders and I think they took the right approach to it. I agree with you. I think that this for as much as it is such a splash signing for the Ravens and you know, it's all the, you know, Jersey swap edits and what you what he could mean on the Raiders

13:52defensive line, especially, you know, if you're getting mad, I'm not gonna be mad, I'd be gay back. Like it's a big deal for the Ravens. I'm not saying it isn't because I do agree with you. I think it's a really nice trade for both sides, but I think that it means more to the Raiders. I think that this trade means more to the Raiders that you were able to get these two first round picks and that you were actually willing to pull the trigger to make this trade happen. I've talked about this on the NFL Stock Exchange Show and I've talked about it a little bit here on this show as well. It is so rare that you have the chances and organization to set up three similar timelines at the three most important positions of building a championship and that is your general manager, your head coach and your franchise quarterback. A lot of times it's like, all right, you know, the GMs from a different regime, but you hired a new head coach and they're drafting a new quarterback. Okay, but the time line just a little bit different. All right, well, it's a new general manager, the head coach we like, but yeah, all right, this is kind of, all right, his last stand, all right, but we're also drafting the quarterback. All right, maybe you have continuity in the front office of the coaching staff, but, you know, it's an old

14:53quarterback. You can't really figure out what to do. It is so rare that you get the same timeline for all three of these components and the Raiders have an opportunity to do that. And, and, and I think that getting these two extra first round picks is huge for a team that needed a lot of rebuilding to be done anyways. So I, I really do think that it was a good trade for both sides. I like it for both sides, but I like it more for the Raiders because they have this opportunity to reload in a major way that a lot of franchises don't just don't get this luxury. Yeah, no, absolutely. There's another report here from Ian Rappaport that they're keeping Eric Stokes. They're a cornerback for a three year, 30 million dollar deal to their bringing him back. So they're going to try to piece together this defense little by little. That is not going to be a one year fix with really as bare bones as it is right now. So I think it's going to be a fun balance to see this offseason free agency and in the draft, how much they use, how much of their heavy resources they use to really build around Mendoza on this offense, how much they try to balance that out with improving what could be one of the worst defenses in the NFL on paper right now. So it's

15:56going to be, I really am curious to see John Spide Tech and Clint Kubiak's approach to building this team. Is it around Mendoza and they just settle on the offensive side of the ball first and almost like the Chicago Bears and the way that they went about it under Ben Johnson or so they try to balance it out a little more and really spread a lot of these resources on defense. Somebody said in the chat, which guys feel free to fire off all sorts of chats all day long. And honestly, any episode that you see with us throughout the week because this is going to be a a heavy chat show. If you guys have questions and things like that, Graham saying, could you see the Raiders flipping a day two pick now for Jonathan Grenard? I don't hate the idea. My initial thought is no, although Grenard is a little bit younger. I mean, if you could flip a day two for him, that probably makes sense. Well, I think the Raiders would probably like to, because they do have a third round pick this year, right? I think so. They might even, they might even have an extra one from the Geno trade. No, that's no way. Sorry. That was the other way. They have they have

17:01three fourth round picks, though. And I think the tough part with Jonathan Grenard is independently really good football player, right? Like I think people are like, okay, would you would you like to have Grenard or your team? Yes. I think everybody would like to have him on your team, but he's getting a little bit older. He's going to want some more money and he's coming off an injury season and injured season. So the price that somebody would be wanting to pay for him would be I think closer to preferably like a fourth round pick. Maybe you can get a third round pick out of somebody, but I think he's worth more to the Vikings. Like I think the Vikings would say, all right, no, we probably want to day two picks for Jonathan Grenard. And I just don't know if teams are going to be willing to do that. So it's one of those where I just am not sure that the value for the team getting rid of him is going to be equal to the team that's going to acquire him and then have to pay him. But we've already seen this off season, but maybe that's not the case because there's a lot of instances where teams are paying some big draft picks to then

18:01also pay players, right? DJ Moore is one of them. We're about to talk about Trent McDuffy as well. But I just don't know if the trade value is going to line up. I like the idea of the Raiders potentially drafting him. And I like the idea if the Raiders are giving up more of a later pick, but I'm not sure if they would do a day to pick like a second round pick, maybe a third round pick, but it's an interesting thought there by the chat. Chat saying Dremel Jones to the Pats. Is that a wish list or is that actually happened? No, he is, he is signing a three year 39 million dollar deal with New England. They're trying, they're trying to improve the past rush year 51 51 pressures and eight sacks this year. New England, I've talked about this. Their edge rush group was pretty much bottom four in every past rush metric that we have. So that's a group they need to continue to improve. They actually would have been a team that might have been in on Jonathan Grinard for possibly a day to pick if they didn't get anybody in free agency to their liking. I think it still could be a position they look to in the draft, although now they're going to need most most likely a guard, we think with them trading away Garrett Bradbury. And probably maybe we think moving Jared Wilson

19:05into center. Some fluid situations on their offensive line, but their past rush does get better here off the edge. This is exactly what they needed. I think they got a reasonable value for it is Jones, you know, an earth shattering, you know, game changing franchise altering type of player. No, but New England needs to improve this edge rusher group to at least average. I do wonder if this now I would think so. It probably takes them out of being a suitor for Trey Hendrickson. And that's something we're going to be watching today and throughout the week. And depending on how long that takes, but that would have been a team that I would think was at the very top of the Trey Hendrickson list, maybe off of that now, getting Dremont Jones. Yeah. The Trey Hendrickson Domino is going to be an interesting to want to watch because I think a couple of the teams that would have been interested in Hendrickson. You mentioned Dremont Jones being a reason why that might not happen to New England or Sean Gary going to the Green Bay Packers or sorry from the Green Bay Packers to the Dallas Cowboys is a reason why that might not be happening there. I really do wonder if Hendrickson's

20:05asking price is like way too high right now because these are teams that I feel like it was realistic. It'd be a pretty close bidding war and you're already seeing teams that felt like would have been in that conversation for Trey Hendrickson sign other options. So I am I wonder if like famous last words here, but I wonder if we might be waiting a little bit here on a Trey Hendrickson deal just picking up the hints of some teams that would have been interested in him now already moving on to other plans. I think that that's that's just interesting that those teams have already made moves on the defensive line rather than sort of wait to see what's going to happen with Hendrickson. I have to wonder the big reason for me would have to be the injury right or what you know the injury said he dealt with this year. He didn't play a whole lot and obviously it was a tumultuous year here in Cincinnati with Hendrickson and if he's looking I assume he's looking with because on a per play basis still one of the best pass rushers in football. I would think he's looking for 30 plus here in free agency and I do wonder if there are teams weary of his injuries

21:08and possibly obviously he's in his early 30s possibly a little bit of decline on the way. You know you wonder is it going to be a heavy one or two year contract as opposed to maybe a four year deal is he looking for a longer term contract like a three or a four year deal and he's a lot of factors in this that you know we've been trying to figure this out with Hendrickson here in Cincinnati for what the last two years anyway the Bengals didn't end up trading them they just ended up just stalling all the way till the end of the line here and now we're going to figure out really what Trey wanted or what he's satisfied with no matter where he goes does he want to go to a contender does he want the most money he can possibly get right does he want you know longer term security I think he's a lot of things that maybe behind the scenes are known or he's made known to Cincinnati here but we're going to find out in a big way here this this offseason probably this week but you're right it is a big domino and it is interesting that some other teams have gone to some other sources of past rush help at you know instead of who a guy who has been for five years one of the best players in the NFL so I always like looking at the total guaranteed and specifically the fully guaranteed when it comes to all these contracts once we get this information Tom

22:12Alicero is reporting that sixty million dollars of Al Pierce's contract is fully guaranteed Dalton that would make him the fifth highest paid wide receiver in the NFL when it comes to fully guaranteed money on his deal he's number five it goes Justin Jefferson Jamar chase CD lamb DK Metcalf and then Alic Pierce that's holy cow no that's incredible nobody loves here in that that more than guys like Pukka Nakua and Jackson Smith and Jigba I can tell you that right now because that's that's coming very soon as well with a number a lot higher than that no what what that tells me too which I think it just reinforces the idea they're going to trade Michael Pittman at some point there's going to be a team that wants a solid veteran receiver obviously there's still going to have to work with the cap number but they're trading Michael Pittman they are not keeping Alic Pierce at that number and Michael Pittman this year at a twenty nine million dollar cap hit that that's something I fully expect to happen obviously we can go through the suitors and tons of teams with receiver needs I think about Baltimore the New York Jets have also

23:14been rumored with Frank Reich as their offensive coordinator at least as a possibility and they already have one former Colton ad nigh Mitchell but Pittman's getting traded no question about it there's no way they're keeping both of those guys at those numbers yeah he's got an interesting situation here Michael Pittman's 29 years old he's in the last year of his contract this year you mentioned he's a twenty nine million dollar cap hit but zero dollars of that is coming from guaranteed salary he's got some roster bonuses and some pro-radiation signing bonuses that will be dished out to him but I mean even if they were to cut him before June one there's a well I guess is the same before and after June one but they're saving twenty four million dollars so I I agree with you I think that it makes probably the most sense that Michael Pittman's on the move to everybody stand out to you you talk about like potential suitors for Michael Pittman oh stand out to you well if they have any money left after the crossby trade Baltimore is one that that definitely sticks out I think see not the vertical threat that Rashid Shahid gave them

24:15but I think Seattle makes some sense if they want you know a number two outside guy along with Jackson Smith and Jigba again it's got to be with with Pittman it's about adjusting the contract and I know these things can always be restructured and things like that Atlanta sticks out to me although they did they just signed Alameda Zacchaeus to add some depth to their receiving room but they could still use a number two type guy alongside Drake London there are plenty of there's plenty of places where he would fit in it's just a matter of adjusting the contract number there so top palace era reporting that Kenneth Walker is indeed signing with the Kansas City chiefs RIP to the Jeremiah love at number nine overall mock draft dreams but this is I think a really great deal for them their running back room was not what it needed to be last year and and when it comes to Kenneth Walker I mean he could he couldn't be striking while the iron was any hotter right him coming off of that Super Bowl MVP performance what he was able to be for the Kansas area for the Seattle sea ox this past season on that journey to even get to the Super Bowl and they're he's

25:19he's going to a team that's so desperately needed running back so very curious to see what the numbers are for this one I don't know if you've seen this one yet but initial thoughts Kenneth Walker to the Kansas H chiefs it's it's the perfect fit right I mean when you look at Kansas City's running backs one of the least explosive groups in the league last year I believe their running backs had the second lowest explosive run rate in the league you look at Kenneth Walker including the playoffs 42 explosive runs second most in the NFL 77 mistakles four second most in the NFL led the NFL in rushing grade for us I mean and obviously the Super Bowl performance was the stuff of legend as if the chiefs needed another Super Bowl MVP because that's that'll solve all their problems for sure but I mean really it is the two teams I was looking at if Kenneth Walker was going to leave Seattle where Kansas City and Denver I think those are the two places that really needed the jump start in their backfield the chiefs we know Isaiah Pacheco a free agent Kareem Hunt a free agent maybe Hunt comes back as a guy who can spell Walker but Walker's going to be the workhorse here or they could draft maybe a day three back just because they still need some depth maybe even a pass catcher

26:21back there would help them but no this is a game changing move for the chiefs their offense aligns still is to get better but Walker is kind of used to dealing with maybe not elite offensive lines there in Seattle he's a fit in any scheme he's dangerous in the screen game I think this is a game changer for Kansas City's offense you look at taking the pressure off of Patrick Mahomes for as much as he can do he's going to be coming off a torn ACL this year and the past two years we've seen it there's way too much pressure on him to carry this team that is no longer the case they have got the workhorse back that they needed one of the best in the league. So Diana Rossini is reporting going back to Alec Pierce just because we're reacting to a lot of news sort of as it's coming out the Patriots the Raiders the Chargers and the 49ers were those that were notably interested in Alec Pierce and Rossini as you know who I'm not saying that like Rossini's not telling the truth here with this one but like says that he turned down more money to stay with the Indianapolis Colts I'm not downing that that's the case but I do feel like that's always said anytime like somebody you know resides with the team the thought is like oh yeah

28:28paid that but man to give up a first round pick a fifth round pick a sixth round pick and then a third round pick in 2027 and then to reset the market by three million dollars a year over Derek Stingley Jr the way that the Rams did that is I mean you believe that this is the key to winning you a Super Bowl like that you make this trade because you believe that having Tremac Duffy and then pairing that with whoever you get at number 13 overall on the draft like you are a Super Bowl team like you go into next year as the Super Bowl favorites and maybe they do but that's the only way that I think that you make this trade so thoughts on less need putting his pedal to the metal here and then overall your thoughts with the chiefs now gaining an extra first round pick because of this obviously they're adding Kenneth Walker to the running back room so now that number nine pick and that number 29 pick are wide open to help that team as best they can yeah no absolutely it's a game changing move for the Rams and I actually you know what I don't mind giving up the 29th pick is they're still picking at number 13 so whatever else they need to fill in on this team in order to win a Super Bowl I don't mind that at all the

29:30fifth and the sixth round picks that you are what they are the 2027 third obviously isn't nothing but I think to get a player of this caliber who since he was drafted minimum 500 snaps is the third highest graded cornerback in the NFL only sauce gardener and Devon Witherspoon ahead of him you're talking about an elite player at the position who can play inside outside man zone whatever you want one of the smartest players in football and when he was drafted to Kansas City he changed their defense right the Rams are hoping that's going to be the case here big contract obviously still a young player but if they had Trent McDuffie this year and not that they could have gotten him but if they had him this year in their secondary they probably win the Super Bowl their secondary was the reason they did not win the Super Bowl they couldn't make any stops against Seattle and the NFC title game so I love it I really like it on both sides the chiefs get the number 29 pick now they're picking twice in the first round and you know when you talk about their secondary there's a lot of voids right now you know we talked we just talked about them signing Kenneth Walker on the offensive side but Jalen Watson's a free agent Trent McDuffie's gone Brian Cook it's safety is a free agent there's a lot of work to do in this secondary but maybe the

30:32chiefs just take a defense heavy approach in this draft I have to wonder say if a Caleb Downs is available there with the ninth overall pick could that be the pick they go corner somebody like Mansor Delaine from LSU I'm curious to see how they fill out in free agency if at all in this secondary in Kansas City I think they believe that no Williams can be a starting caliber player but for the Rams I mean it's an all-in mentality and why wouldn't you have it right you still poof for sure you still have pukinakua maybe the best value player and football you have Stafford at his age still playing at the peak of his powers you've got a defense that you just need to fix up and I think an underrated move alongside this is the fact that they got to keep cam curl at safety right so you feel good about safety with curl and kitchens just keep adding more depth at corner behind McDuffie and you're looking like the most complete team in football yeah can you imagine if this team 13 I mean they they've got an opportunity I mean like a 13 they could they could draft another corner right I mean like they could they could just could continue to just stack the talent at corner if you think that's the only spot that you really are

31:32weak or not where you need to be for a super ball I mean you could draft your mama koa you might be able to draft man swords Elaine you could trade down maybe a little bit get extra draft picks that you recoup from the trade and maybe even get avian terrell how good of a fit would avian terrell and trim McDuffie be in the same defense I mean that is a ton of versatility that's just some really good coverage play man I think that they have so much flexibility with that 13th overall and and I I love the fact that they even gave up a little more in the form of some extra draft picks but kept 13 some people were like oh well wouldn't you rather have you know traded away 13 and kept 29 kept the third runner in 2027 I would rather kept 13 because I think that you get even more flexibility with 13 especially when it comes to potentially trading back if the board doesn't fall the way you want it to so I I it's it is a hefty price to pay but while you have Matthew Stafford man go all in so I love what less need to do or trev I just I keep toying with this idea in my head you have to be diabolical you have to be diabolical here absolutely fix up

32:37the secondary now during free agency maybe it take yourself another receiver there at 13 just give Stafford one if it's macaillem in maybe Jordan Tyson whatever I mean both of those guys I think would fit in pretty well I mean they aren't they resign Tyler Higby I don't know if they would go with Kenyan Cedeek but I keep in mind Zavante Adams only one more year on his contract so they might look a long term there at receiver to try to stay relatively valuable in that room because Pukinakua is getting his money eventually and it might be 40 million plus I won't be shocked at all receivers also the move there at 13 Tampa Bay is on the board all right they're they're active here in free agency oh is it the big one no they're bringing back K dot oh okay all right I mean you call that the big one and he's for now we could we could call it that more than Mike Evans and Levante David so technically yeah he's the bigger one he is bigger than those guys that is bigger than those guys so I think that the bucks have long liked K dot and they didn't want to lose him and be completely bear at the tight end position I don't think that it keeps them from potentially drafting one even decently high in this pretty good tight end class but they wanted

53:26entire class and willis gets a chance right now obviously it's a lot about connections you know to me the two teams one of the two of miami or Arizona was going to sign malik willis if it came down to money it might have been Arizona but maybe he was just more comfortable again with the familiarity of Jeff Hathley with uh John Eric Sullivan there as the gm and now i mean you look at this miami offense the offensive line obviously could be a little better they need a little more depth at receiver but malik willis Devon H and in the backfield is the core of your run game not bad and you still jalen waddle if he doesn't get traded as the top guy you're throwing to so i think willis goes to at least offensively a reasonably good situation miami miami and Hathley they got to rebuild the hell out of this defense because there's just hardly anything to work with there right now but i find this very interesting number one for the dolphins into the Arizona cardinals what because they were again the other team to me that would have been in on willis pretty heavily what are they doing at quarterback is it just right it out is it jacobie brisette is it somebody else for

55:31that feels like a lock and so if their car wants to come back there's still a world where he could want to come back like to arizona obviously not a floor is their head coach now someone offensive might had head coach if you are Derek car you get to throw the ball to marvin harris and junior michael wilson and traiming pride i mean that's pretty good now they got to continue to fix that offensive line with james conner's back at running back so him and traimenson could still be a nice one to do oh for you but i wonder if the cardinals are now sort of forced to look behind the Derek car curtain or door or whatever you want to say because outside of that like i i i i just have a hard time thinking that you can sell to your fan base like for as much as i liked jacobie verset and i think that he is an ideal sort of like fringe spot starter type of a dev player for you you already got that most of this past season you're really going to sell to your fans jacobie versets the full-time starter and think that you're going to make a lot of noise in that division because i don't think so so i wonder if that's a potential option for them at quarterback

1:17:21like if Linterbaum is going to get a crazy amount of money should the Ravens sort of be panicking here I think they have to bring this player back or is center one of those positions that you feel good about finding some value elsewhere um I think you can find value elsewhere I mean we've seen some we've seen some solid centers get signed for really good money right I mean Tyler Biotis to the chargers Conor McGovern staying in Buffalo right I mean it's a position that all the sudden feels like it's more coveted than ever and panic isn't the right word because I don't think Eric DeCosta is ever going to necessarily panic but if they don't sign at least if even if it's not Linterbaum if they don't sign somebody who is obviously plus start or caliber we're going to be talking about center a lot probably on day two of the draft with this team you know guys like Jake Slaughter and Conor Lou and Logan Jones all the other centers that we've been talking about throughout draft season so I think the Ravens are weary of you know reportedly Linterbaum's agents are looking for possibly 25 million a year when I don't believe any other centers ever made 20 per year so they're really they're shooting for the moon here and I think there's some real threats I think the chargers would have been a threat before they

1:18:25signed Biotis I think the Raiders man I think it would not shock me at all I think the Raiders too it would not shock me at all I believe the Raiders are top three in cap space available it would not shock me at all if the Raiders blew the doors off of of of an offer for Linterbaum here so I think the Ravens do they want him back I'm sure they do but I don't I think there's a limit to this when it comes to the contract if it gets up into the 22 23 24 million dollar range I think he's leaving and and I've been saying this I I think once you obviously couldn't really franchise him because all offense alignment are on the same scale for some reason um it really it became a real threat for him to go to a team with more cap space I think the two teams that stick out to me are Tennessee and Vegas for Linterbaum yeah I think so too I think Tennessee does make sense I think that Vegas being super aggressive for him makes it ton of sense as well Buccaneers also signing Alexander Lone from the Detroit Lions which yeah again yeah perfect I mean this is perfect for exactly what they need and Zalone one of the better and more reliable coverage linebackers in the
