I'm like time longhorn ride. That was pleased to be joined by another lifetime longhorn, the young project C.J. Fogo and my good friend, Nisteem Colleague. Jeff Howe joining us as well. We're going to recap the 2026 NFL Combine. Longhorn's World Rail Representative had seven players at the NFL Combine. We will talk about their performance overall, but also I want to get you guys to start about kind of the performance of Texas. It representation of Texas at the Combine period

and how you think they perform Jeff starting with you. I like the fact because look, there's been years at the Combine where Texas have one guy there or the guys over there. You're like, wow, that's it. Like nothing, just nothing of substance. So I like the fact that, you know, you read various pieces of, hey, this guy helped himself or this guy was a surprise or this guy was a winner. The Texas being talked about in a good light at the Combine, which is a really nice change of pace. And I think it's across all position groups. We can get into, you know, the specifics, but I mean, whether it's DJ Candle on the old line, you know, Anthony Hill and Tray Morge are off ball linebackers, many Mohammed and the secondary Michael Tath to run on the 40. It's guys of multiple positions that are going to the Combine and at least meeting expectations. I don't know that anybody. It's been a minute ride since the Texas guy is going to the Combine and perform under perform compared to what you thought. So that to me, just the fact that Texas has a positive presence at the Combine, it's quantity and its quality.

That's, that's what still stands out to me. Good point. CJ, what are your thoughts about how Texas looked at the NFL Combine? Yeah, I'm going to echo a lot of what Jeff just said. And I wrote an article earlier over on on Texas football, kind of praising the efforts of Tori Beckton, right? Because this is where his work and all of the effort he has put in over the time that these guys are on campus really comes to China. It's the underwear Olympics is how athletic are these guys? What do they look like running fast, jumping high, bench pressing, right, moving laterally? That's all his work and what he's able to do in these offseason winner workouts, summer conditioning. So for three straight years, we've sat here and said, Texas has looked really good in this situation, right? This setting tends to do, or it looked very well for a lot of these Texas long wounds. And that's a very much a positive, just real quick. Many Mohammed, 442 in the 40. I know we'll talk about him. Fantastic time for him. Four or five flat for Michael Taft. Fantastic time for him. Anthony Hill, third fastest linebacker.

Traymore, fourth fastest defensive end. These guys run really, really well. And those RAS scores, the relative athletic scores that we see tweeted out on the graphic cards. NFL draft Twitter loves it, right? We see them tweeted out for every single prospect. Every single one of these long wounds that went through a full slate of workouts was 8.3 or higher with their RAS course. That is fantastic. And that's a testament to the work to Tory Beckton and his staff. Yeah, we know there's a lot of specialized individualized training. I leading up to the NFL combine. But still you got to have that base, that foundation of overall athleticism. You can't do all that work in just a couple of months. And it seems like Texas guys, they go to the combine. They seem to run faster than you expect to. I think all the guys run a little faster. But let's get into it here. It's getting to the specifics guys and talk about it. Who do we think helped themselves the most among this group? I mean, you can go with multiple guys here. CJ, let's start with you.

Yeah, I'll go back to Malik Mohammed. Again, a 442 is not something I was anticipating. I tweeted out something that before he ran, I said, a 453 or lower would be fantastic. Because look, I think for the three years that he was in Austin, speed necessarily wasn't the number one, you know, the description of his game. You know, you said there's a great zone coverage, good eyes, technically sound when it comes to playing man. But it wasn't always about the speed. Now he has plenty of cousins. He's got brothers that played and went through the draft process as well. None of them tested as well as what he did with a 442, right? Jabbar Mohammed, AJ Green. There's plenty of guys in that disorder tree that are related to Malik Mohammed, 442 for him with a 39-inch vertical. I'm sitting there saying, okay, maybe we didn't see that as often during his time at Texas, but it's there. And that's what these NFL scouts care about. And I thought for him, that was a great score overall.

I totally agree with you. One thing that also looked good for him, the straight line speed and the arm length, 32 and 3-8's arms for a guy that got a lot of praise at the senior bow for his press technique. I think that's something that maybe in the NFL, you actually see him get drafted by a team that wants to play more man in press man, I've given the numbers over his career. You're allowed for coverage now. He was third best among the top 24 corners coming out in this class in man coverage, by the way. If you look at ball-hawk rate, he was eight among this cornerback class coming out in man coverage, pass rating allowed in man coverage. He was sixth best among the draft class of cornerbacks. He's the top 24. So his man coverage skills, he didn't play in a lot, probably 23% overall in his career at Texas. He was actually pretty good at it. And he actually, at least his skills in some of the measurables. They do translate to a guy that can play press

a little bit more in the league. So I agree with you on that, C.J. Jeff, what are your thoughts about who may have increased their draft stock the most among this group? Yeah. I, you know, two guys that I thought helped themselves. I just want to mention DJ Campbell. And really, you know, it wasn't so much the testing as much as it was the measurables. I think to check in legitimately, as six, three, three, 13, I think 34 and a quarter inch arms, 10 and a quarter inch hands, like exactly what you want for an interior offensive lineman. So it's not like he showed up, Rod, I was like six, two in change, like everything checked out in the arm length is really nice, especially for an interior lineman. And I think Michael Taft running a four, five, 40. You know, didn't do any other test. Water usually wins. It warps in Rod's wood. It pulls it apart, bored by bored. Unless you build with tracks. Trek's marine grade decking is 100% submersible for docs. Built to last, it resists Rod warping and decay and salt and fresh water. With Hilton Honors, earn the most valuable gold status faster and unlock benefits at over 9,000 locations worldwide. Hilton for this day. But especially, you know, with his arms. I mean, he under 30 inch arms was 29 and 29 and change for his arm. He needed a really good 40 time and got one. But I think the guy that helped himself the most honestly was Traymore. You look at all the testing, the running, everything he did. And you go back to it and, you know, I don't want to reopen this can of worms, but I guess I'm going to. I mean, I think he and Anthony held both.

You kind of look at how they were used this past season at Texas. Like, man, they have some meat on the bone with both of those guys. Like, both those guys should have probably been more productive than what they were given the athleticism and the skillset. And quite frankly, you're out of the pedigree that both have as passers. So I think Traymore, uh, in certain schemes, I think he could play off the ball, but I think he proved again why he's why he was recruited in Texas out of the portal as a premier pass rusher in the portal. And I think now the NFL could look at him. And when you get him to that day, three rod, you've talked about all the time. You, you've got to have one elite tool, one elite. Something that an NFL team look at and say, we can take this and mold it and develop it. And I think for Traymore, uh, it's his past rush potential. And I think given the way he tested, I think he's squarely in that mix to get drafted on day three. At this real quick on DJ Campbell coming in at 313. You know, going into the 2023 season, he was listed at 343. You again, you talk about the body transformations

and the way that he played his best football over the last, I don't know, eight or 10 weeks of the season in 2025, losing 30 pounds and probably, I don't know if it was all good weight at the time, but getting his body where it needs to be at 313, 315 range. I thought was fantastic work by him. He also played around 321, 322 is what he was listed at on the 2025 roster. So look, body transformations aren't in one year thing. And again, that's I think a testament to the work that these guys put in behind the scenes. Yeah, got to be committed to that process. No doubt about it. Good and back to what you said, Jeff about Traymore. I totally agree. I think now as a situational sub package pass rusher in the league, which there is there, there's a place for for that player. And especially with more teams now getting into hybrid players, they want naturally covered hybrid players for specific schemes. I do think there is a chance that Traymore got,

it really increased his draft stock and rose on a lot of teams boards. I'm where he was one of my third player when I looked at guys who increased their draft stock the most. I think Malik Muhammad was my the second on my list in terms of the guys who increased their draft stock the most. I agree there was CJ, but there's no doubt and it's crazy. I feel like Anthony Hill just ended up in a terrible year at the combine to not showcase his freakish skills, because they'll howl state guys were so like otherworldly athletes. I mean, you're talking about some alien men and black type stuff going on with sunny styles and Orville Reese. If not for that, I mean, he has the second bow and hit the second best rascal. You brought up rascals among the linebackers. Second best razz among backers was Anthony Hill. Yeah, I mean, he was here. He had a really, really good combine is just he didn't get the national love and nobody. I mean, I think people are actually giving him some praise, but I think he should be giving you more love, but it's just the still howl state guys have pretty much kind of taken

the most of that limelight. I feel like some teams going to get them potentially at the back of the first round or early in that second round. I think I'm going to give themselves kind of a walk in, start a kid. And I completely agree. And just to add a couple of numbers to what you were talking about with the razz scores. I mean, a 993 for Anthony Hill. So for perspective, there's been since I think it's 1987. 3,215 linebackers have received a razz score. That's again, 3,215. Anthony Hill comes in with an athleticism score. That's number 25 out of that bunch, right? The second highest and the Sarkeesian era only behind Ad9 Mitchell, who probably one of the more underrated combines that we've seen. But Anthony Hill absolutely earned himself some big time money. And I think it created a very high floor for him when it comes to when he will go in the draft. He won't fall beyond 45.

The other thing too, Rod, when you look at that Ohio State defense now with sunny styles and our values and Caleb Downs who actually, Caleb Downs didn't have a great combine, even though people are going to miss the boat on him, but I digress. The fact that Arks Manning, that was the defense he faced in that environment and his first road start from it and was much better by the end of the season. Yeah, I think we need to give Arks a little credit for staring the devil in the face going into Columbus against that defense. Yeah, and that was your first, first real action on the road against that. Yeah, that was, I'm with you on that and considering how Patricia was moving those pieces around. Alright, that's all about, because I don't think anybody hurt their draft stock. I think that's also something more like you said Jeff, not a lot of guys like for Texas, go to the combine and under perform that's that's rare. That's the exception. I'm sure it's happened. I'm not saying it hadn't happened. But it didn't happen very often. Let's talk about somebody. Other guys kind of hitting gems here. Jack injuries, because by the way, this tight end class is that more tight ends that were invited to the combine

at any time in the last five years, I believe. So they've been invited a lot of tight ends to the combine. But I thought he was underrated second in the 10 yard split for the 40. If you go look at all his vertically was six in his vertical among the tight ends. And the 40 wasn't that was a 462. I would have liked to see him kind of dip into the 45 or 46 flat. But I thought Jack injuries kind of still kept himself at a in a place where depending on interviews, depending on how the rest of the draft season tracks and lays out, you're still a guy that can be a mid-round pick for a team that tight it. I think for Jack injuries to ride, it's going to help now, you know, how, or scouts going to have access to archmaning to talk to him this spring. I don't know. But the quarterbacks that can vouch for how good you are are Fernando Mendoza and archmaning. You could do a lot worse than that. That's fair. That's a good point. Great point. I ain't think about it. That's true. Fernando can help make Jack injuries a lot of money.

So I wasn't going to give Jack injuries to props. I don't think we talked a lot about him at all. Most of the talk has been about like guys on the defensive side because Texas a lot of defensive guys representing here. But at the pro day, guys, now with the combine now over officially. So there will still be some guys who didn't do all the agility drills and things of the nation. They'll probably do that pro day. But who's got now among this group? Who's got the most most work to do at pro day among the group that was invited to the combine? It has to be Jalen Gilbo, right? You go to any anapolis and, you know, he wasn't active for a lot of the testing drills. He goes to do the interview. So teams are familiar with his, you know, character, what he can talk football about. But the testing numbers for Jalen Gilbo are going to be very important, right? No 40 yard dash. We don't get the 10 yard splits. We don't get to see the agility, the jumping. That's going to be a big question mark for him who as a guy that was invited. That was a big opportunity to continue to build some of that momentum that we saw coming out of the east west shrine bowl for him.

So that's going to be key. And they're going to be plenty of others as we get into the pro day. But of this group specifically, it's got to be Jalen Gilbo for me. Yep. I think, I think Michael Taff's stock can keep going up. Rod, I mean, look, like I said, at the combine, he answered the biggest question. He was going to face during the draft process, which was how fast are you? And he ran the 40. Now that you've got that out of the way, teams are either teams are now going to look at the tape and decide either you like him and he's on your board. Or you just don't like the tape or you have something against him. And he's not on your board for the teams where he's on their board. Now you've got a chance to just improve where you are when you do the agility testing, you do the off field drills. It's all going to be on your campus. So that stuff really, the pro day is really big for him because now that you're going to do all that testing at pro day. It's you basically you're dictating the terms. It's on your campus. You should be comfortable. You really need to knock it out of the park. So again, it's a really big hurdle. It's also taffclier and indie, but he's still got a chance to kind of solidify himself on some boards with what he does that program.

Yeah, no doubt. Good stuff there, gentlemen. I appreciate all of the the breakdown and the expertise. Thank you guys out there for watching and for listening. And thanks for my made Matthew behind the scenes for twisting the tweaking of ours. Nobody does it better for Jeff and for CJ. I'm like Tom Lohor and Rod Bay was until next time. Water usually wins.
