202: A Compassionate and Powerful Approach to the Holidays
About this episode
It's that time of the year again! Family, food, and festivities. If you you're like most people, the holiday season is a mixed bag. The past and present are a rollercoaster of emotions, especially during a time of the year that represents belonging and connection. Sometimes it can feel like the holidays happen to us but, what if we can happen to the holidays while giving ourselves grace for the journey?
In this episode Justin sits down with one of his closest friends Katrina to discuss her joys and difficulties with the season. She shares her painful experiences with growing up and losing that childhood normalcy. Katrina also goes into the ways she's purposely woven community and tradition into her adult life, while having compassion on her unstable emotions that have resurfaced during her latest life transition.
If you're wanting a loving yet empowering approach to your process during the holidays, this episode will help you to feel understand and practically inspire you to take back the reigns to your life!
