200 Mile Ultra Training Principles, Tactics, and Training with Kevin Goldberg

Everyday Ultra

About this episode

Training and racing in a 200+ mile ultramarathon is a beast. But our guest today is breaking down what has worked for him to finish multiple 200+ mile races. He’s also finished in the top 5 of Cocdona twice, has continued to shave down his stoppage time year after year, and is going for the win at Cocodona this year.

Kevin Goldberg is an endurance athlete whose favorite distance is the 200+ mile events. And when it comes to knowing how to train, race, and be efficient for those races, he is a wealth of knowledge. He is also the host of the Distance to Empty Podcast which is a podcast specializing in the 200+ mile distance.

In this episode, Kevin shares how to be most efficient in your aid station time, how to take control of your mind when problems arise in a race to keep moving forward, and race strategies to help you run your best 200+ mile ultra (or any ultra, for that matter).

Huge thank you to Kevin for coming on the show!
