يصرّ الروائي المصري يوسف زيدان على سبر أغوار الأنثى في أحدث رواياته "نور"، وهي المتممة لثلاثية بدأها الكاتب قبل أربع سنوات برواية "محال" ثم "غوانتانامو".
وتدور أحداث الرواية في فلك شخص واحد يسرد للقارئ الأحداث من خلال وجهة نظره وتفاعله مع باقي الشخصيات المحيطة، فلا قصص موازية تتقاطع أو تتشابك مع الخط الرئيسي، إنما هي جميعها خيوط تتفرع من البطل وتعود إليه.
الراوي هنا هي "نورا" بطلة الرواية التي عرفها القارئ في الجزأين السابقين، تلك الفتاة الجامعية "السكندرية" المرحة المنطلقة، التي يعود المؤلف ليقدمها للقارئ وقد صارت أما لطفلة صغيرة تحمل الرواية اسمها "نور".
