In its battle of South Park, Jim Shennendash for the Senators and Grand Jackson for the old, the Senators will bat in the following order. Answer will lead off play right field. Batting number two, the third Baseman, Dave Nelson. The number three hitter will be five powered in either out in left field. Batting four, the center fielder, and that is Elliott Maddox. The number five hitter, first Baseman, Don Muncher. Number six hitter in the Washington order will be Paul Kasson over. Batting seven at second base, Lenny Randall. The number eight meter is the shortzap Jim Cullen and the picture is Jim Shennendash. The first set will be the ball of strike on fire and Joe number two with Baseman at the

first base, Larry Nathick, second base, and Jerry Needash with third. Well, Murray Bretman, fans in lead off for the Orioles, who will be battling now to get a split here tonight in Washington. And it's our pleasure to send things over to our partner, Bill O'Donnell. Thank you, Chuck N. Good evening again, everybody. Let's get started now with game two in the left handers, Shennendash, with a low-fance form one-of-a-way. One ball no strength to the rest of the month. Depencively now, in this second game with Shennendash, the Senators are using Nelson third, Cullen short, Randall second, Minshirt first, and the outfield, Howard Maddox and Hunter. Line drive, right field, and Retman start quickly, the second game with a line-based shot to right. And the reason why we shouldn't have a base hit to start the second day, and I have to point four base hits in the first game. As a matter of fact, Chuck and Alaska's sixth ball game, the Orioles have had now 52 base hits. That's the four game for the anti-series, and the game last night here, I'm sure it's the first game tonight. Here's Paul Blair, five hits in the series, and he swings and he fows it off straight

line. Retman with a lead off-face, not against the South Pole watching Shennendash. Shennendash has started and also relieved this year. He's flied as in the flow, one ball and one strike. Now, Shennendash is what he would call finally a junk man. He's got off-speed braking stuff, also throws a palm ball, and throws a sneaky flied ball. He's got a one-one counter-worked player, with a ground foul by third base hit, another, one ball and two strikes. Going through this six game barrage of Orioles base hit. 16 base hits last night, 15 base hits in the first game tonight, and go back to the Yankee series, he got six hits in game 1, 11 hits on Friday, 11 hits on Saturday, and 9 hits on Sunday. Blair, with a looping fly ball, the right field, answer coming on, makes a one-handed drab, and Blair is in return.

I say a natural way, the Orioles hitters just hit happy about what has happened since the Yankee series began. It was Frank Robinson, he appeared in the opening ball game as the Finch hitter. Frank came on with two runners on, in the nature sixth ball game, and they chopper and ice and ink and ground it into a fourth place for the final out of the opening. In the series, Frank is two for six. He hits a high top of foul to the Washington dugout on the first base side, Mintz is there, chasin over there, and Mintz erases in, and then loses the ball as it drops into the Washington dugout. Mintz er came right to the top step and reached in. In the first two at Boston, they're now in the Yeesening, and the Indians enjoy a nine to three late. Indians nine, Boston three. Again, they double-headed play the Saturday New York side as one of the first in seven

to four. They got five on the ninth, the Yankee's one to second, going through the one for Bunsen. The next fifth to Frank, Robinson is outside. Frank Robinson finds first base in this night-cast. The next round is on deck. Mintz er at first base is holding on retinem monthly. Killing back, Yeesing the first in delivery. He's on the inside corner, he gets right too tall. Russ gets his calling ball's instruction the night-cast with Yees Phillips at first, Larry Naffat's second, and Gary New death er at first. One and two, that's the count we have right now to Frank Robinson. Killing back, setting and dealing, if a ground ball foul down through. Yees Phillips, Killing back. Born in Riverside, California, he has now a floretta in resides in Fort Myers, and he's been around quite a while since 1962.

Although he's been around since 1962, he did not become a major or a texture assulant until 1966. One, two to Frank, low inside, two balls and two strikes. In the opening ball, the indication is that Washington used an F.D. resendil, in blad senior, Ritalberter and talks against the oil. There's an Yeesing saw at the first base in Retinemun's back to the bat. Countering against that Washington staff, the bird's use, play our Boswell Hall in Ritig, in blad wanted, Boswell lost it. Move to Frank Robinson. Three balls and two strikes. Frank batting, three on nine shows nine homies, 42 runs batted in. Retinemun sure laid against the south ball looks on Schillenbach. There's a high fly ball in the shallow center, ranging back, check and base and randles on

the outfield grass, he keeps it in the glove and Frank Robinson is out. He's a two away in the south of the first inning of Game War, Game 2. The first game went to Washington, it's 6. Here's Brooks Robinson, he has two for seven in this series. He's played five games as a total of the visitors over here at Robert F. Kennedy Stadium, and they continue their heavy schedule with four games and three days of Fenway Park for getting Friday night. There's a high drive in center field, Maddox, pacing in a couple of steps and Maddox puts it away. No runs, one hit, one left, and the middle of the first inning of a night gap, Oriol's nothing and Washington is coming to back. Bobby Oriol's meeting with San Luis in the second game of the double header here, playing again once night, third tonight, then we get in the Boston, but we'll be back home next Monday and Tuesday night when we host the second place Detroit Tigers of the stadium, Game Time of the Intercross, ticket police games to be purged from 9 a.m. until 6 p.m. at the

end of the day. place. Whether you're getting ready for crisp mornings, cozy nights or everyday moments, QVC has what you need for the season ahead with brands like Lori Geller, philosophy, ninja and so many more shop now at QVC.com. So making it first start for the Orioles, they'll answer the South-Faw flinging out to you. They will step in against Jackson and they'll get right back to Bill. All right, I'm sure left hand battered against the fast falling left arm of Grant Jackson. Here's a high foul ball drifting behind the Oriole dugout. Ed Jabbaran is managing a Jackson the night shaft with Brooks, the third, Belanger, Schwartz, Johnson and Second Bay, some Frank Robinson and first. And the night shaft out the field has Moulton and left, Laren Center and Rhett Mund in right field. Jackson making his first and early start and naturally his first start in the bird uniform. He's low in a way from the left hand battering answer, one ball and one strike.

And it has been rare this season in release appearances that Jackson has not looked good. He looks good just about every time out. One want now to answer. He runs up to Bunch, changes his mind, but strike two is told on the outside corner. One and two to answer. Here's the ball all around the outfield. Answer to the be followed by Nelson and Howard in the Washington first and one two by Jackson. And that's what I'm trying to do. Answer to batting two, 88. He had a hitting streak, strapped in the open air. Answer to the line foul over the oil dugout. Jackson, he was motioned, blinds and froze. Outside corner, secretary is called. He picked the corner with a good, me high fastball. So Jackson has a good start.

He fans, runs into a looking and here's Nelson now, the third day. Nelson's had a good series four for nine. Nelson bats in the right side. Not too big a fellow. He'll be followed by a big man, however, Mr. Howard, like one, Delta. Jackson, leaning forward now, he'll outback. He has no one delivery. Grounded to third, slips right on top of it. Looked Robinson over to Frank Robinson and two are gone in the Washington first inning. Answer has he took strength three. Nelson has bounced the third and now Frank Howard shows nine, home is 29 runs. He's got it in. Has three hits in the series, that in a 305. Howard bouncing back and forth now, waiting for Jackson first six. Fastball line right center field and that's the Howard base.

But now both clubs begin the ball game with base not from the first inning. What on two down for Washington is Elliott Maddox. Maddox in the night cap and center field, batting at 177. Howard leading Frank Robinson holds. Jackson looking and firing at the foul the way out of play. Jackson, not Bill J, like that to bounce time. It's not still a way. It's in the dirt. That's the bar and gives it a good say, digging it out of the dirt. One ball and one strike.

Tall Frank Howard, towering as Frank Robinson, holding the first phase. But one one on the way. Down to Stuart, there's the land to where that throws the second, 20 times for the fourth play on Frank Howard. Again, the one on the play, oil's nothing and wants nothing. Out of the oil coming to bottom of second inning, we'll take a look at other games. This stretch of the tight and out of the American league. Kansas City will be in Chicago. Hopefully will be in Minnesota and California and Milwaukee later on tonight. We may have a little information on that before we leave here. All right. What's his day, Johnson? And this is a chop of the second inning. Johnson with a ground foul beating past third base coach Hunter. Dave Johnson, Kurt Moton, Mark Philangert, flop of the second inning. Sheldon back, a one game winner. He has lost three this season with his old one offering. Here's the ground ball back, a third back, handed by Nelson. Long throw. In time to go fit, Johnson. This is defrared by the Washington third base from Nelson.

So Johnson was fired and here's Moton. He has the two to the opening ball game as a pinch hitter during that oil nice inning rally when he drew a walk. Moton batting at 111. Moton the batter with a blade, Belanjy the follow. The lining, Sheldon back and he closed. He closed low ball one. Sheldon back as we told you has really he's also started. He has started four ball games this year. Time. Two balls in most right. Sheldon back goes to the pub and goes low three balls in most right. I'll tell you this Washington left hand is Sheldon back as that is this year of misfortunes and injuries during his career.

Moton way ahead on the four board count of three balls in most right. One away nobody on. That's low ball four. So Moton's been up twice down the double heading, walked in the nice inning of the opening and now walked in game two with one out in the top of the second inning. One on and one man out and here's the land. He's got four hits in this series. Belanjy four for nine to gamble double header batting at two ninety four. Mention to the bag and Moton leading low outside ball one. That's Belanjy both the short stop. Cullen and the second basement Randall are playing halfway and I'll come back up a little bit more. Sure. Belanjy one and oh it's the side. It is one ball and one side. Oh it's naturally saw their share of left handers in the first game. They look at the gender Lynn Brad and Little Bird are all Southores and now this is Sheldon back as the left hand is stuck at QVC.

Sun rises prices fall get a sausage McMuffin with egg or sausage egg and cheese McGrittle's small hot coffee and hash frowns for just six stars. Price and participation may vary promotion pricing may be lower than meal pricing. But in the night shaft. Feeling one and one shelling back off the set. Ticks and fires and it's fouls limiting one ball and two sides. The land you're trying to advance most in one gone tap of the second inning. He'll be followed by in the extra burn of and down to Jackson who's still back in the dugout. Most extensively. There's a high pop up it's in the Washington into a right around the mouth charging first face and venture in for the mouth venture for out number two. The land you have topped up and here's Andy etchaburn.

Hendrick was the first game starter back of the plate. Etchaburn came on later in the ball game as a pinch hitter and then stayed in the ball game back of the plate. Andy batting two thirty three. He's got a homerun for six runs out of them. Jackson has yet to come out on deck. More than pretty good lead against the left handed. Here's a foul right back. Check one. I'll forget now the next time you'll see the oils in person next Monday night and those tigers come in town for two ball games Monday at eight and Tuesday at eight. The one tracker to Andy he found it against the stream so he's down oh and see the show and back. A show and back really is not a power coach. You're as we mentioned he's more of a junk variety. He'll give you the fastball once in a while but he likes to throw sliders and curses

and then his change up will be with that palm ball. Set the fire on to Andy does to Andy. Bring in a mess at a breaking ball. That's the first strikeout for Sheldon back and out number three at the end of the ending and a half in game two oil nothing. Senators nothing. Well now hopefully being able to report on some national games and I trust him for not from Pittsburgh Montreal and the flat hospital out here in Cincinnati however Houston of the out of San Diego and then there are two other West Coast games with the Cardinals and the last and with some clubs and fans and fifths. In the bottom of the second down venture sounding off action first fits so underway in the bottom of the second and then your cousin over and ran will be the first three batter. Of course in the bottom of the inning two left hander against left hander breaking stuff low outside one ball one strike to mention.

Menture had a big towering home run while up in the first game he's got their five home is 16 runs batted in next hit by Jackson is low two balls in one strike. Two one on the way by Jackson to mentor. Check the swing and the pitches low three balls in one strike. Now Jackson likes to work rapidly he doesn't work as fast as to say upon her but he does work quickly so mentor slowed him down and moved out of the batter spot. We're going to one strike and came buzzing and nipping on the upslack corner. So Jackson and mentor have jockey to count to three and two it is I pop up into shallow that said it is the land your back settling right there the land you're for the foot out and okay we'd like to pause the station identification this is the bottom of the oil based on effort.

This is Bob Jones saying that he won a two point four and down very well. He's down to the first leg in the on the 11th WBALs in Baltimore. The first call to like Bill Paul Casanova the Washington Chasin he set out the first game billing to the job back of the plate inside low and has another has to jump up with up rear foot. Chasanova played last night he went once before against the leg he's batting two twenty five. Chasanova three home is 16 one satan and he played the pole over the left. Haines and doesn't get an outside sat for one ball and one strike. One one coming into Paul Casanova change up line foul way up to F.E. A Chasanova in one sense was full he was full by Jackson's motion he was lunging but

just controlled the bat enough and he pulled the shot deep so left on the foul ball. One into the Casanova Randall was followed Jackson ahead and dealing. Playing in a mess he got on a knee high fastball so two strikeouts by grand traction and two away in a Washington half second and here's when he Randall the second ace. Now Randall a little fellow he's still around the all around the same size as the Delluncic. He might be even a little bit smaller than Dom Bufren. He's not still however as strongly as Bufren. He flings fouls it off loses his fat. It's right over the oracle dugout and back about four rows and a box seat patron has a brand new bat. Now normally what they'll do is return the bat to the field back to Randall bring a bat out of the Washington dugout and give the customer a new bat. Randall just completely lost the grip on the bat when he fouled off that too.

Tell you see that do that quite often and you've seen it I'm sure in ball the morning you've seen it on television you see a Tony O'Leave and do that. The young teller doesn't want to give up the bat. As a matter of fact he's going to start to run out of the ballpark. Now normally normally and he's being stopped and I'm sure the young teller get a bat somewhere. So try to get the bat back to the dugout and bring another one out. Just a swing and a net. On to that's the counter and the next to the line to center field. The first player coming on he can't get to it and Randall would align some of it. Went on to away that tip number two against Jackson. Both Washington based off the some after two are gone. Howard got his last in it and now Randall listen.

Here's Kim Cullen. They've tricked off and they're seven years. Jeff got in watching Jackson and Cullen what's going on apparently the problem was the young who grabbed the bat did not have a ticket for that seat and the spectator who did have the ticket has been given the bat. The runner is breaking and here's a high fly let's better field. Blair is right there and he radars it makes the foot out on the side every time. No runs the base hit and one left at the end of two. It's the Orioles nothing and Washington nothing. Now Bill another first in Oriole blood cast this will be the first time in 71 that we've seen grand Jackson swing the bat. It's been in nine ball games has never been to the plate but he is scheduled to be to lead off hitters here in this top of the third inning to be thought of by Merrick Retman and then Paul Blair. I'll just get a transaction like a metallic who throws West handed but that's right handed. Jackson against the Cullen back and we've got an unusual start to this second game where the score was after two innings.

Here's a ground ball to the glove side of the shortstop. Cullen digs it out and throws out for Jackson. One pitch begins at the top of the third. Jackson grounding out Cullen to mint here and now the Merrick Retman. Merred single to begin the ball game. The first in the first few innings of the first game we had a total of six. We had nine base hit. Production is way down here in the second game on three base hit. Base is empty in one away. Cullen back to South Florida Merrick. His high off speed curve is ball one. Now Nelson the third baseman kind of smelling something. He was charging up the third base foul line into the grass. Merrick has moved out of the batter's box and lands for another sign from third base coach. Inside two balls in the right. Together with Chuck Thompson to low down all very delighted to be with you from the nation's

capital tonight all along the Oriole Radio Network. Two o' fire down the middle strike is called two balls in one strike. Cullen back working Merred. The two in one right now fouled off the chef protectors of plate umpire russets. I said I guess this gentleman is no longer around but maybe somebody on the radio audience would know just two or a man years ago who invented a chef's protectors. Whenever he was he saved a lot of people off the girl chops the shorts. Cullen, Missouri is throw. He gets it there just in time. They call to the throw chopper and the quick feed of Redmond. Cullen at a hurry is throwing down a fair to Mintchir. So two are out. Here's called Blair five for eleven in the series. He fly to right field in the first inning.

Blair's been on a pretty good hitting chair since early in June. Cullen and fouled tips it off the chef's protectors of the catcher this time. One strike to Blair swinging away here on the top of the third was two men out off the curve fouls. Cullen back doing a lot of mixing with his stitches. As we said he doesn't have the overpowering fast fall but he'll use that fast fall and mixes between sliders and curves and off feed curves. All in two with two guys low fast fall inside. One ball to say. Blair the batter and Frank Robinson is on deck. One two by Schillingback. Ground fouls to the Oriol dugout. Well in case you missed a slam bang free swinging first fall game it went away of the

center there's eight to six. As you saw off and heard and it was true in the first fall game the game was not decided until the final out. So the birds have the tire on the board. Another foul this one back of the plate. Blair hanging tough at one ball two strikes against Schillingback. Schillingback just fingers up the rods and back quickly. He's ready to deal. He's got the line and works one and two. Ground ball deep and third off the glove of Nelson from fair ground it rose into foul ground and Blair has a base hit off the glove of Nelson. Nope he doesn't have a base hit it's an error. Nelson charged with an error on a ground smash. Back of third he backhanded it got the glove on it. It bounced off the glove then rolled across the satellite. So Blair's safe on an error was two outs and Frank Robinson coming up. With two away and Minshure does the holding job on Blair's ladies off feed outside ball

one Frank lie to center in the first inning. Schillingback now flows down relaxes thanks reaches down picked up the rod and back. There's one o-fix low two balls and no strikes. Two men out one man aboard and no score in the top of the third Frank Robinson. Ground ball right back to the mouth stabbed by Schillingback throws out Frank Robinson in the middle of the third inning of the night check. The Orioles nothing watching to nothing. Well the annual independent say fireworks display sponsored by the Greater North East Baltimore Association will be held in Memorial City on Monday July the fifth. H. Open on the fifth at 6.30 p.m. admission as a dollar for adults and 50 cents for children. I check where breathing right along in a snappy second game here Schillingback starting

in the off the work lower by Jackson. Jackson gets the strike down the middle one ball and one strike. Kim Schillingback then the top of the order that means answer plus Nelson. Jackson with his one one swinging in a miss one ball and two strikes. Schillingback cuts just as he throws back from the left side. Jackson has moved ahead one and two kicking and dealing in the third two balls and two strikes. Jackson coming back quickly to to Schillingback swinging in a strike. Now to the top of the order and answer.

Answer looked at strike trade to begin the bottom of the first inning. Coming into a double header, answer was enjoying a seven game hitting streak. And he had been on quite a hitting here the last six to seven ball game. Breaking ball to outside ball one. One ball no strikes to left hand flinging onto Nelson beyond deck man. Uncissence aligns foul out to a left. One ball and one strike. Nelson does not play back at all deep and left nor does Flare and to left center. Matter of fact they play on to counter shallow ground ball to the short stuff. The lander on top of it and a good blanger arm. It tires on to. To a way in the bottom of the third and here's Dave Nelson.

Nelson bounced out. Nelson third to Frank Robinson in the opening inning. Jackson begins his wind up and works the outside corner for strike one call. Jackson working right from the third day side of the rubber. He started to want. Nelson wasn't ready and thought he might be quick fit. All right. One one. I have to sit right field a two out single by Nelson. The Washington has had the same tighter now for the first three innings against Jackson. All they said to come after two are gone. Howard had a two out single in the third. Randle with two out base hit in the second and now Nelson a few out base hit here in the third. Frank Howard turn again and the Orioles will jam the left side of the infield. They'll play Johnson the second baseman for the short shot side of the bag and back deep. And Robinson in first place and holding on Nelson.

So there's all the room now between second and first. Two gone one aboard inside in low ball one. Howard rarely goes to right field and he's played the pull by the by the outfielders and left and center. Deleted first by Nelson back he goes on Jackson's move that way. Howard on grand Jackson's one oh it's a fly ball to right field. Here's retinon giving it a long run. He's coming to the foul line and makes the cat just about two feet inside the right field foul line on the warning track. Howard the third out and three innings are now on the books in the night cat for four or the more nothing and watching for nothing. Final just in from Boston and the Indians defeated the rest of mind three in the first to two. Max lead stores Matt pirates no store at the end of two Montréal Atlanta no store after many in a half settled off the Cincinnati no store inning in a half and no store after three here's Brooks Robinson sending a towering fly left center field and the center field

of Maddox and the left center to put out one gone on the top of the fourth inning. That was believe her not and Robert Ripley set many years ago. Corp. In the south of the fourth inning. Dave Johnson is up he was robbed of what might have been a base hit on a fine fielding fly on the ground ball by third baseman Nelson in the second inning. Dave Johnson batting at two ninety three set out game one. He is hitless in a series inside ball one. Most into bad after Johnson and the one oh. Clive all well tag deep left center Maddox on a long run still going he won't get to it. It hops off the fence. Here's Johnson going to second base and he stays there with a long double one hopping off the fence in left center for Johnson who incidentally leads the club into baggers

that is 13th double of the year. So Johnson halfway home in a scoreless side on the top of the fourth inning and the batter is shirt motion. That's the Orioles the second base hit and the first hits and Breton undelivered to begin the ball game. Now Johnson looking right through the middle of the end deal from second base looking right into Moton say and I'm sure to himself pick me up goes one on one gone. Blanters the on deck man. Curve is a strike to Moton. One back setting up set to the belt. He's in a dirt and inside one ball and one strike. No runs to hit for the birds in the top of the fourth inning no runs and three hits for

Washington. Left handers doing scoreless at the end of three innings. Randle the second base been trying to drive Johnson closer to the bag as he leads away. Throw the test again two balls and one strike. In the dirt again for you one. Hope now finding out from third base out to a hundred. Should I swing should I take on three and one. Johnson's lead at second base. We'll find out three and one. It's five to call bell time. Three balls to strike to Moton. One aboard one out.

The second base. Johnson goes to third. Randle feels in the second base and throws out Moton. The ground ball was hit too high over the second base but Randle got to in front of second base. On the into your ground ball Johnson moves to third and that'll bring up the land here. Chuck and I have talked for years and we're a mighty happy to have talked to these terms about the stellar outstanding and almost unbelievable fielding plays with a Brooks Robinson. But here's the young man who's done an equally good job here in 1971. The land you thrown low ball one and the land you're forced also doing the outstanding job thus far with the back. The land you said two ninety four. One oh by shelling back out of the full wind up.

It's popped up into shallow right center on comes onto and onto the shallow right center makes the foot out in the capital for the four of the ring no runs one hit. Johnson's trying to decide the end of three and a half. It's totally or else nothing in Washington nothing. The cooperation of the science staff at W.B.A.L. Radio here's the latest story if we have an international learning serving in the next entire school is second inning Monterey all Atlanta's goal is second inning still at Elfia and Cincinnati are a score. As we are in Washington in the bottom of the fourth inning Elliott Maddox. But it took a man Jackson field. Curry's as well and three for first face as Maddox. Maddox has turning speed just piece of throw off his front by pitcher Jackson who was about 10 feet in front of the man I want to I saw palms down at first face and now Phillips has called out on Maddox. Phillips put the palms down then he must have come up so Maddox has been thrown out by Jackson.

Maddox retired one away and here is Minshure a breaking ball is outside one ball no strike to Minshure who's fired to center in the second inning. Strike is on the outside corner so the bang bang play between Maddox and Jackson. Jackson has thrown out Maddox. So one one delivery side arm low fastball outside two balls in one strike. Two and one by the winding Jackson strike on the outside corner two balls in two sides. Two two on the way. Ground ball wide a third in the hole. Philanthropy. It is not in time. Minshure hit a ground ball to the opposite side. It was past the drug side of Brooke Robinson. Balanthropy was coming behind Brooke was right back deep in the hole in front of the outfield

grass got his throw two Frank Robinson but late as Minshure beats the throw. So the infield base hit to Shure by Minshure has in his first base with one away. Shenadir's about to base it in every inning. The other hits all team with two out and now Minshure gets his with one away in the bottom of the fourth inning. Paul Casanova is a fine drive to right field. It's a base hit to the corner. Here's Minshure turning second. He's on a way to third. Minshure's held up a third and Casanova pulls in with two backers. So the senators were there first rally of the night. They have runners. They should check in and third. Minshure's third. I'm Casanova's two backers and they'll bring up Lenny Randall. The last two Washington batters here on the fourth inning have just gone to the opposite field for base hit. Minshure the left hander, a ground hit to the left side and now Casanova right hand batter, a double out to right field. Frank Robinson has tasted the mound.

Etchaburn has also walked to the mound to talk with Grant Jackson. So Jackson in his first struggling test to the night. He has Minshure a third. Casanova back at him at second with first base open. Randall will be intentionally lost. But it will bring up Cullen. Here's balls too wide to Lenny Randall. Cuenot and the third wide one. Three balls, no strikes. Randall in the process of being intentionally passed and there is ball for. That is Jackson's first walk at the night. Matter of fact all season long, while we're talking about walks, Jackson release has had outstanding control. Here's Cullen now battering. And with Washington loading the bases against Jackson in the bottom of the fourth inning,

the bird bullpen gets this he was Tom Duke. Jackson's longest release since this season was two in in front back in late play against the Indian. And the base is loaded. He's fishing to Tim Cullen. So hits an in feel pop up in the in feel and the in feel fly rule was in effect as Johnson makes the chance behind him out. Out number two recorded as Cullen skies to Johnson. I'll bring up pictures shelling back. Minshure third. Casanova at second and Randall at first base and two men out. Cullen back with struck outside Jackson last inning. Jackson winding delivers low to Cullen back all on Washington runners at every spot. Minshure third. Danzen over second. Randall third. Minshure had the one out single. Tassen over double and the intentional class to Randall. But want to know what's human out.

Thike is called the beneath of Cullen back. Jackson wasting no time. He wants to get out of this for the thing without any damage. He's winding the shelling back one and one. Strike outside corner at the knee. Cullen back has stepped out. Jackson is ready to fire now. Shelling back is back inside. Base is loaded. Two men out. Stolars ball game bottom of the for the name. Around with this left arm and coming in one and two. Jackson is low outside. Two balls and two sides. Jackson taking a deep breath. Now he lean forward to get Etchabarans way lagging. Andy sitting to the outside corner on the two two at a shelling back. It's low three balls two strikes. Base is loaded and two men out and everybody will start to move. Now Etchabarans is reminding Jackson. Look you've been taking a full wind up. But now with three balls and two strikes and two out on the base is loaded.

He has so Jackson to go to a strike motion. Jackson does that. Here's his free two pit. Strike free. He gets out of it. McDonnell's is putting value back on the menu. Whether you're looking for the performance of the camera, the versatility of Arab 4, the efficiency of a Corolla or all electric driving in the BZ. There's a Toyota that's just right for you. And with great deals across the lineup, now's the time to find yours. But hurry, these deals won't last long.

Toyota's easy choice sales event ends soon. We make it easy. Toyota, let's go places. He turned the fast fall right side challenge after David Fassil. At the end of foring it. All the more nothing, go see McMuffin. Now the courageous fit of pitching in the part of Grand Jackson to get him out of a nasty mess in the bottom of the fourth inning. The Orioles ready to come out of the south of the fifth. And before they set in, we set out for a station break. This is the bottom of our Oriole based on networks. Ben Fats seeking urging you to be fully informed on what's going on in the world. The 2010 Jackson D test on the 8011 WDAL Dogamore. The blue batter against the south-floor Shumondack is the Orioles' command on the eighth inning.

In the top of the fifth inning will be Andy Etchabine and Shumondack has held the Orioles to the two-day fit. A double by Johnson, a lead off-single by Retman, and here we go to the top of the fifth and back of Bill. And we go with Andy Etchabine, Chuck then Grant Jackson and Merv Retman. Now we haven't had a ballgame like this for quite a few days. The Orioles from the top of the fifth inning, loading the Etchabine. We just have a ballgame somewhat like this to begin the Yankee series. We had a one-one tie until a side breaking home run by Elrod Hendrick. King on his side today. One ball and one strike. That was a surrezy opener to the Yankee series when the ballgame was tied one-one and Hendrick sang the Sioux and Homer in the sixth inning. Two hits for the bird, five hits for the senators and scoreless in the fifth inning. Here's the ground ball back to the mouth. He'll be by shell and back. His throw in 20 of time to venture and his one-gun in the top of the fifth inning. Here's Grant Jackson now.

He was up on the third and grounded out. Sure to first. The Orioles hit thus far have been by Retman to the first inning and by Johnson and the fourth. Johnson's face knock was a deep two-bagger to center. Jackson runs up to butt and doesn't get it, like one. Shilling back, winding and fires, swinging in a miss and a low breaking ball. Oh and two, Grant Jackson. Jackson stands right to the front of the box. Jackson now is showing his bat to play to umpire Russ Gett and Jackson made me asking for a new piece of lumber. He is. He's taken a bat for Merb Retman. Merb was waving a bat on deck. Jackson was just not satisfied with the bat he was using and he walked over to Merb and took Merb's bat. Oh and two, low one ball and two seconds.

Jackson back uncorping his one two delivery in the dirt and inside. Two balls, two seconds. Jackson batting in the top of the fifth inning. Senators won the first game, H6 and miss ball game. The second one is Schorler's with one down in the top of the fifth. His two coming in. Outside. Three balls, two strikes. He's going back as he's done quite a bit in the fall game as rates back, figured up on the Rosenberg. His money deal right here to Jackson playing the strikeout. Let's see, second strikeout tonight by Jim Schellenberg. And the lead off man, Retman with a big hit and he's found the joy. Schellen back working the Merb.

Low and side for one. Oils in Washington, here tomorrow night, here's the United Post single game and then we move on to bean sounds Friday night, the night double header Saturday single game Sunday. It's like one called a Merb. One ball and one strike. Schellenberg back again, here he comes one and one. He goes off speed and outside, two balls and one strike. Schellen back into his motion. He's inside low, three balls and one strike. Retman batting two seventy two, Merb's got two hundred twenty two runs that again. He's ahead three balls and one strike. Schellen back, he looked at foul ball back at a play.

Three and two to Retman, that's the count of the bases empty in the top of the fifth inning and two men out. In the single game here tomorrow night, it will be Jim Palmer against Dick Bosman, that's a duel of right handers as Palmer goes after his ten point and McNally against Brown Thursday night. We're in two fly ball well tag, deep to left field and this is going to be a Merb Retman homerun. Number three for Retman and that puts the Orioles ahead one to nothing. The first in the single and now the solo four backer was two gone here in the top of the fifth inning. They'll get the Orioles out of hit now one to nothing and bring up the ball Blair. Blair is flying to right and safe on an infield error. Queens and doesn't get a high foul.

So one striker by the foul ball he goes off speed and plays one ball and one strike. To the wind up shelling back against player one and one off speed and outside two balls and one strike. Shelling back, scuffing a bit at the rubber again reaching back to that rousing bat. He's in his wind up two and one foul straight back two balls two strikes and two men out. After four scoreless innings, the long homerun wallets deep to left by Retman has snapped the scoreless side. Blair on the shelling back two two, that fouls it back behind the plate. Blair now has requested time. He's looking at his left hand. He might have, that's kind of tough to figure what might have happened.

He might have maybe split a nail on the left hand. He's being looked at right around the Oriole bat rack although we are screened from the actual location. I would assume he's saying looked at by both manager Earl Weaver and trainer Ralph Salvon. Blair is holding the bat in his right hand and whatever bottering is bothering him is on his left hand. Blair has been worked on now by Ralph Salvon and Blair now ready to go again against Shelling back. Two two pitch coming right in. Foul to the free. As Blair just fouled off that pitch, he was holding the bat again in his left hand and shaking his right hand. Two two or once again to Blair. One ball back of third, backhand of neatly by Nelson throws out player.

Another nifty fielding play by the Washington third baseman with tires aside. But the Orioles go ahead on a two on homer by a nerve retina and on the middle of the ball game the score, the Orioles won and Washington nothing. Well I'm ready to go to the bottom of the fifth inning and Chuck Thompson is ready. Thank you very much Bill. Good evening again everybody. Here's a strike call to Dell Hunters. We saw the last half of the fifth inning. I'm so over two against Grant Jackson. The left he deals right over the outside corner. The letter is in two strikes now to the left hand swinging answer. This is the first start of 71 for Grant Jackson. He was supposed to have started a couple of games earlier this year. But rained out every time. Strike three calls. Three of them right about in the same area over the outer edge of the flip. One of them might have been about Dell high. The last one looked like it was up around the letters and Jackson not just strike out. Number five.

One down and here now Dave Nelson. He's been out on a ground ball to Brooks the third and then drilled a single right field in the third inning. Right handed swing straight away. Stance cut in a foul off the screen. Drank one today. And he also contributed a couple of fine defensive plays down the upper half corner. What a difference between two ball games. The first game was a wide open free swinging free throwing up there. Sounded as one at eight to six. Strike two call. Mr. Jackson is full of strikes right now. All in two to the right hand adding Nelson. Jackson to his move. The two strike pitch breaking ball hit an align toward the second day from Johnson. He grudges right off the shoe path. And Nelson is the second out of the inning on the line drive. The second day from Johnson. And here's the huge man. Mr. Frank Howard. Single the right center of the first inning. Fly to the right field of retina who made a cross country job to catch up with us. Fly ball in the third.

And again the Orioles will jam the third base out of the infield with three infielders. At least Frank robins them all along. On the first base side. Jackson's move is pitched to Frank Howard a fastball about side and loads all on. And what kind of thought for him to a pitcher's mind when he stands out there at 60 feet six inches away from the man this side. The pitch. High fly ball. Deep right center. Retmon and Blair are coming over round the ball. Retmon and Blair there and Blair makes the catch. Here is Frank Robins and against Jim Shelland back. And the South Faw first offering is low inside ball one. Frank's guy to set a field when I'll pitch you the first. All for two and six for two coming into the night game against Washington line drive on the alley left center field is going to be in for the day. Rushing over to cut it off as Elliott Madison Frank Robins and starts the Orioles six and in with a line shot on the alley and left center. Add a bring out Brooks Robinson. He is tight.

It's of all the center field are Elliott Maddox. The lead to clubs to play two games now in the third of the five game series. On the first two games they scored 23 runs and had 49 days fit. I don't know what happened to this ball game. It's one of nothing ball to one only nine hits. The pitch. High fly ball right to your waist racing over the second Basin Randall and foul ground now Randall is saying what it makes the catch. Brooks Robinson first ball hitting fouls to the second Basin Randall down behind the first base. And about an hour will be Dave Johnson with one out and Frank Robinson his first base. Johnson was retired in a good play by third basin Dave Nelson and the second inning and then he drilled a double in the alley and left center. Dave says Mr. Empire take a look at that baseball gets the look at it. It doesn't focus and returns to the shut them back.

As Bella told you in the baseball terminology here's a quick throw to first base. Shut them back is sometimes referred to as a junk baller but he also will use the fast ball and he stops it occasionally and does not try to throw it really for strike. He just tries to get you to chase it. The pitch today is low with a fast ball ball one. But he has a pretty good effort when it breaking stuff. Not too many years ago this fellow was in a terrible automobile accident made. Somebody would never play baseball again but he told him they want nothing to Dave. Swing in a mess at the off-speed pitch. Get an idea the injuries this fellow sustained. He had suffered a compound fracture of the right leg rib fractures, swing left wrist tongue lacerations and internal injuries and made it back. So one one pitch today Johnson inside and low ball two. Frank Robinson opened the inning with a single left center. He's there at first base with one away.

Frank walks out of pretty good lead against the left hand looks of a Jim shut them back. The south side of the south ball the pitch today breaking ball outside on the count of three balls in one strike. Well I know a lot of you who listen rather intently to a real block cast and know a little bit about the way manager Earl Reaver weaver runs the ball club you're going to have Johnson hitting or taking on the three two. I'm a free one excuse me the pitch he swings high fly ball third base side. Third base and Nelson is waiting for it and foul ground and he makes the catch right down here the back. Two down and I hear is Kurt Motten who has walked and grounded the second base in two trips to the plate. Cards appeared as a pinch hit her in the first game receiving and real walk. Tell him back first offering to Cuzz swing and a foul out of place. Strike one. Here's a young man who last year suddenly decided he'd like to try the great old sport of funding and he has become the most rabid hunter you'll ever run into. Now to one strike pitch because change up popped up third base side here comes Nelson the third base and the catcher Casanova. It'll be Nelson the third base and making the catch and foul ground at the end of fire that are happening. The only old one and the center there's nothing. OK, there's Grant Jackson ready to take on Elliott Maddox the right hand swinging rock

and center field. He looks at the first offering outside ball one. Maddox couldn't do a force in the first and he tried to punch his way on and the fourth and he was thrown out by Jackson and one of those big, big type plays. And the one that he's coming high popped out first base side made the out of play. Racing over a catcher bound to give it a look and it's back in the seat. From ball one strike to Elliott Maddox. It'll be Maddox, Mintcher and Paul Casanova in that order against Grant Jackson who tonight is making that long awaited first strike for the ORIO. He lost the chance to start a couple of times earlier this year from the birds were rained out. Here's another high foul in the same area. Birds have been rained out eight times this year and unfortunately, five of those rain outs have been at home. That's just about enough rain and last for a few seconds. Running to the count of the batter Elliott Maddox. Jackson has a sign flashed by Etchabown and the Husty Left Header brings the arm down

as such the Maddox line drives well. Hit the right field. Retman going hard to the right. Still going. He is there and Retman holds it in. Maddox is at the ball very well but deep like setters and Retman was able to get in front of it and make the crash. That away on the batter now, John Mintcher had a fine first game at three for four and on the second game. So far he has popped the short and had an infield hit the short and there will not be too many infield hit in the career of the likes of John Mintcher. Big, strong, very likable out of them. And Etchabown has gone to the mound and popped a little bit with their grand Jackson about to Mintcher. And Jackson's first offering is too low to the left hand about some ball one. No score, Cleveland Boston at the end of two on the second game, the Indians won the first game, nine to three. Side card as Jackson sold it over the outside corner of the knee.

Some ball one strike. Now the one one offering, three and a minute, the ball and two strikes. Talking about the unfortunate action of pitcher Jim Schellenback, well this young man, Maddox Mintcher is saying the unfortunate baseball action, he was struck in the face by a Sam McGyre or Sam McGyre. Jackson Mintcher would occur outside of two balls and two strikes. He says everything is just fine now. He doesn't have any problems whatsoever. The two to Mintcher, outside again ball three. Four counts, three and two to Mintcher. Jackson rocks over the rubber to pitch. Ground ball shot, we hit his five second base and out of the right center field. Schellenback and Mintcher base two. One out single the right center off the bat of Mintcher brings in Paul Stanton over. Stanton over struck out in the second inning and in the fourth inning. He hit a line drive right down the right field line into the opposite corner.

Good for two bases as the son of those loaded bases would only run out from the bottom of the fourth against Jackson but could not break through. Jackson's pitch is two tight to Jackson over ball one. Time, that's good. Now the run nothing pitch to Casanova. The last had a deal. Here's a mighty thing in a miss from Casanova. Time to count even to the ball on the strike. Mintcher, the runner at first say he's got a very fine series. He got a hit in the opening game. He got three in the first game. He's got two in this game, a total of six hits in the three games tight. So far. And we just a little more than halfway through this one. So one one to Casanova swinging a ground tile right at the place.

County Duke has nothing throwing in the Oriole board pen. And they've got a little activity out in the center board pen. The Oriole board pen is stuck away in the Nusselcone. The center board pen is in the left center field. They're back to back out there. A ball, two strikes to Casanova. Jackson ready to go. He's stretched the runner at first say he deals just inside two balls, two strikes. Casey Cox is the right hand that's throwing in the Washington board pen. Now the two two to Casanova, swinging in an empty struck him out. And for Jackson that'll be strikeout, number six. Two away on the Washington half of the six. And about an hour will be Lenny Randall. Lenny is single of center field in the second inning. And he was given the intentional walk in the fourth inning. And it really paid off at low to the basis with one out. And then Jackson got caught on the pop-up and fell in back on a strikeout. Strike over the inside corner.

Mimicier leads first place with two down. Jackson is inside with a sendo even a count of one ball and one strike. Frank Robinson at first base here in the second game for the Orioles. Jackson calls and there's a long side ball down the left field side and out of play. Oh and it bounced out of the seats and back out of the playing field. Kurt Mote now has to go over to retrieve it. A count of a ball and two strikes to Lenny Randall. 21 years old and he's just form a baseball or a pretty good baseball school. McDonnell's is putting value back on the menu. Mentor had just gone out for talk to his first face coach, Melly Fox. Now he's back on the bag and we're ready to do business again. Now the ball and two strikes, Jackson sets kick fires, curve ball is on the frame behind the plate. Now the one two thirds to you, Eleni Randall. Ground ball sharply hit a drug to third. He's got it the whole the second day before submitter to end the inning. And if he had a fixed complete it's Baltimore won, Washington nothing. Here's our first report on the second game in the Indian Red Shot, double header at Boston. It's corpus between the Indians and the Red Shot going to the top of the third with Rich Hand, again, sunny seeders.

The Indians won the first game by a score of nine to three. Mark Williams, the lead's off against Shellandback. And here's a strike call to March. The lander tonight has popped the short slide to right field and two previous turns. He showed the four hits here in the series, the pitch coming to the lander in the verse. And that'll level the count of the ball and the strike. The lander will be funneled by Andy Etchabown and then pitch your grants Jackson. Well your facing break up and down the Oreo, that's working well, get it for you as soon as possible. Sit. Playing in the looping five all the shallow center field, coming on will not get there and it's not for the base set. And on that base hit, we're going to take a station break. This is the bottom row Oreo, they saw network. This is Rick Steffan, advisor to his own seven in source wire, broad cast at seven fifteen warnings on January 11th, W.B.A.L. in Baltimore. Andy Etchabown stepped in and the station break reminded us of the fact we had a visitor from down in Raleigh North Carolina tonight, Rayford Hill came by, I'll boost and say hello,

came up to watch the Oreo. He listened still not of W.S.R.S. in Rolano, Virginia. There's a swing in a foul ball out of play on the mezzanine behind the plate strike one for Andy Etchabown. He has a fan and put a tamper to the mound. Casey Cox is throwing again in the Washington bullpen. Shumondack has the sign, is once right to Twandy, curved ball that hits foul out of play behind the plate, O-N-2. This defense started a year for Shumondack. He's thrown one complete barging. His record on the year won win and three to feet. The home run that Rhettmon had against the Shumondack is time for the Oreo. One of nothing lead is only the six home run thrown by Shumondack this year. The two strike pitch for the waiting Andy Etchabown. It's a bit high, one ball two strike. Again, Shumondack kind of wasting that time for all of time.

Etchabown refused to chase it. Philanjaro's first nobody out. It's left by Shumondack, the one two hits Etchabown. Ground ball off a third base side. It's through the hole out of the left field for a base shot. Philanjaro loaps down the second base from Etchabown. As his first hit of the theory, a single in the hole of Etchabown. That brings up a picture of Grant Jackson. And the senator into your mouth, defensively, will set up to handle a Grant Jackson bun. First that is in order. And Washington defensively is setting up the play. Jackson will left hand a throw, but a right hand is out of it. Then to the play, the play, the play tonight is ground to the short and struck out. Shumondack ready to go. The set and the picture, Jackson, the bun is on. He gets the foul tip strike. He checks the strike a month of ball and just picked it foul into the middle of the counter. Behind Grant Jackson comes lead off the rumour of Retinmond.

One strike a Jackson, say for better still in order. Shumondack is ready. Jackson swings and fouls and swings down the right field side and out of play. So they have the bun on and the first fifth pick it off on the second pitch. And Jackson now looks to third base close to Billy Hunter to determine whether he'll be swing or bunting on the two strike sets. Thirds and the senators are here again tomorrow night and again on Thursday night. Gaines or Tungalgames here in Washington started 730. Two strike sets to Jackson. He bunts foul and that will be a strikeout. Number three in the strikeout column for Jim Schellenback. Now for the batting order, Merb Retinmond. He's two for three against Luffy Jim Schellenback. He had a first inning single the right field and a pro-low home run and a fifth inning and it was a pretty good shot at that. Well, the familiar side in game number one is on the scene again in game two.

Pitching coach Sid Hudson is making his way to the mound and he'll talk a little bit with Captain Over and Schellenback. They have the right hand at Casey Cox ready in the Washington Bullpen. The Orioles leading at one to nothing have run out and runners at first and second here in the top of the seventh inning of game number two. Well, Hudson delivered the message and his mind is way back to the dugout on the dead run and Schellenback will stay on the ballgame. Waiting for Schellenback first hit now to Merb Retinmond. Well, that's Hunter Pro. He's outside in low ball one.

One ball no strikes the Retinmond. One away runners at first and second base. Pitch is a high breaking ball and a count now of two and O's to Merb. Jim Palmer will shoot for victory number 10 tomorrow night here against the Senators and Dave McNaally for number 12 on Thursday night. Two and O will the count to Retinmond but Andrew at the second etcher bar and at first and one away. The left side of kick and fires breaking ball low and it's three balls no strikes to Retinmond. He deals low bar fair and they are loaded for a bar player. And now here comes Hudson again and this is going to be it for Sheldonbach. It's the second visit if Hudson goes to the mound. He is not going to the mound. However, he is coming over to talk to the plate umpire rough get. And now he is going to go out of the mound because they will make more than just a fishing chain. So Sheldonbach is going to be listed and while the new picture makes his way to the mound, let's pause for a moment. Well, these centers are not only making a change at the mound,

listing starter Jim Sheldonbach and bringing on the right handed razor, Casey Scott. They are also making an infield change as a matter of fact, changes to both short and second. Jim column, the shortstop remains in the ballgame but moves over to second base in place of Lenny Randall. Toby Harrah comes out of the Washington dubbed and Harrah will be the new shortstop. So Harrah to short and Cullen moves from short to second. As far as their thoughts in the batting order are concerned, Cox will bat seven, that's where Randall had been, and Harrah will bat nine, and naturally that's where the starter Sheldonbach had been. Sheldonbach gets a pay 50, blanzer heads are down the center. He did get Jackson Dunning foul on a third strike. He has just walked reckoned he has been yanked in favor of Casey Scott. So Sheldonbach were six and one third in eight. He has given up a total of six base hits. He has walked two and he has spanned three. And it was Casey Cox who was a relief pitcher with a tie run aboard in the top of the ninth inning of game one.

As a matter of fact, Casey Cox came on with only one man out and he got to Driftrabinson on a fly ball and then got to pinch in to Frank Robinson on the ground ball and an eventual fielders choice to wrap up the ballgame. So Casey Cox has replaced Sheldonbach with a bird continuing his retinue here in the south of the seven cinnets. They are leading one to nothing. They got the base exploded. They got retinue on the first, got etchaburn second, and blanzer a third, and now they bat Paul Blair. Here comes Paul. He's reached one time tonight in the second game on an error, charged the third baseman Nelson and the third in eight. As fly to right and grounded to the third baseman Nelson again, base is loaded one away and the big tall right handed Casey Cox ready to go to Paul Blair. Well, the look toward third, Cox goes to the move and delivers. Blair swings his a high pop fly to Shadow right back to the second base and on the right fielder and it is the second base making the cast. As Cullen race back under a looping pop up into Shadow right and made a fine running over the shoulder cast to retire Paul Blair.

Good move on the part of the new second baseman Cullen. He has moved from short to second. He's built all of you and were two down now on the bases loaded. The battery of Frank Robinson. Frank fly to center bounce to the mound and then drill the single in the alley and less center field last time on in the sixth inning. And in the first game of the double header as they'll tell you it was Frank batting against Casey Cox in the top of the ninth inning that hit into a fourth slide and ended the ball game. Frank stands in where ready to go everywhere you look there's an Oreo. The lander at third base here's the first one to Frank. The lander at third. The lander at third. That's the bar in a second and Merv Retman the winner at first base. One ball most Frank to Frank Robinson.

So he had a base case the third base coaching box he gets on the outfield side of it against Frank who is hit some rather mean foul ball down that way. Now the one having said to Frank can't see relieving right hander delivers ground ball hit off the third base side to short stop power there before those the second base not in time. And the run scores a hustling Merv Retman. He's the throw to second base and the Orioles pick up another run. Frank Robinson reaches on the field his choice he is also credited with a run batted in and the Orioles lead the senators now by a score of two to nothing. Harris took the ground ball and drilled a throw to second base and talent but Retman on sheer hustles beat the throw. Basis remain loaded and here is Brooks. Playing in a foul ball out of play behind the plate like one the one is charged to the now departed Jim Schellenback and the Orioles had a two to nothing lead over the senators here in this top half of the seven tennings and runs and base hits are a lot tougher come by here in the night.

And then they were in the first game as the senators have about 15 hits in the first game and beat the Orioles. A six to six. Brooks is all for three in game number two this evening twice fly to center in top of the second base in the pitch low and a ball one ball one strike to Brooks Robinson. Frank at first Retman to second etcher bar and a third two down and Cox ready to go now with a one one offering to Brooks Robinson. He's got a strike over the outer corner for these good hard waking fish from facing one ball to strike. Frank lot of things not in four runs in the series so far we've got two more games to go a single tomorrow night a single Thursday night.

Now the one two pitch to the waiting Brooks Robinson on Casey Cox broke contact with the rubberies not quite ready to go. And on a big right hander seems all set for what's the third to move in the one two to Brooks. There's a looping fly ball down the first face side and foul ground and under it is first face and venture for the final out. Actually was kind of a check swing and Brooks fouls for the first face and venture for the final out at the end of six and a half. Baltimore to Washington nothing. Well we'll need to shoot nothing behind transaction as we move to the bottom of seven. The birds have made quite a few decent and quick. Frank Robinson in first face and the ball game Frank Robinson goes to right field the new first face and will be moved. And Merv Retman who had been playing right field also remains in the ball game. Retman moves to left field replacing certain moments so foul as far as the Oriol batting order is concerned. The ball will bat in motion spot between Johnson and Blanc.

Okay Chuck. Here's the ball one inside to the right hand swinging column as we go to the last half of the seven. One ball no strikes the column and behind column will come Toby Harrow. Here's a strike call over the inside portion right at the hands and Colin ran the hands up the battle leaned in over the dish. And took it all the way the ball and the strike Toby Harrow behind column. Jackson troll strike to call again he worked it inside right at the hands of Colin. Now the one two pitch coming low and inside two ball two strikes. Jackson's two two offing to Colin a swing and a foul on the netting behind the plate not a fourth swing. It was just those ten tried to stop it and then get the bat out of the way.

The right hand of Tommy Duke is saying loose in the Oriol bullpen. Jackson in his first side of the year for the Oriol now working in a bottom of the seventh inning with a two to nothing leaves. The two to Colin strike three on a foul chip of a check swing. Colin stops the swing and the ball just mixed about and etch of our and squeeze it. And Jackson not just strike out number seven. And now here comes Toby Harrow in last night's Oriol victory in a losing toss. This young man had two hits in four trips. And on the season Toby Harrow is hitting two fifty four. White handed bat to the Toby. Jackson wait for him to get in he's already an hour the less he's such as cut out and foul out of play behind the plate. Like one to Toby Harrow. The Oriol outfield is set to play Harrow as a full hitter as players pretty well around in the alley and left that is it.

Well drive down the left field side is a foul ball and it's going to be out of play. Two strikes to Toby Harrow. All in two to count. Jackson looking at the sign flash by Etch of our and starts the motion and throw. Here's a line drive they sit into set of field. And Toby Harrow has a one out single to get the senator started here on the bottom of the seventh inning. And that will bring on the top of the batting order. Dale answers. Andy Etch of our and is making some signs of manager Earl Weaver. And if I read the signs correctly it's indicating the fact that Jackson has come up with some kind of a blister perhaps on his throwing hand. And Etch of our and wants manager Earl Weaver to go out there and take a look at it and Weaver and played on fire. Russ Gatz are there doing just exactly that.

I don't know whether it can be ruled an injury visit or whether it's going to be a charge visit for manager Earl Weaver. Weaver is looking at it Jackson a little bit of the nodding it ahead is it say I think I'm okay. And it is apparently has something to do with the throwing hand and I guess we're being actually for the buster. But Etch of our and I wanted his manager to get out there and take a look at this thing and they are now applying for the situation. Tommy Duke is going pretty good in the Oriole bullpen and the left hand clean Dale answers. On a first base Toby Harrow Jackson said funnily officer they cited going to be in foul ground and Etch of our and picked it off quickly. Onzer's funnily officer just fouled on the third base side and Etch of our and pound on it. One strike the council bell answer. Onzer's had one hit and nine trips coming into this ball game and now Sam's able to total a one and twelve. He had a seven game hitting streak stopped by the Orioles in the first game tonight.

One away however runner at first Boobe Powell is holding with him and Jackson Iying the sign from Etch of our and for left he's one strike offering the load outside and a good save by Andy Etch of our and one ball one strike. Now a pretty good crowd of eleven thousand seventy two now begin to jump into the ball game here in Washington. So one one to one third. Right to call that Jackson again for it over the outside portion right around the hand. Jackson got the answer looking at a third strike and the fifth inning and it was about in the same area over the out of portion of the play maybe up around the letters. Now the one two to the waiting down answer here it is playing a foul right behind the plate. Countries ball two strikes well he anches in the Tigers foot a pair this afternoon the first one to Detroit seven or four but I can't believe Yankees two to one. Indians bound the red sauce nine to three in the first game and there's no score in the second game here goes the runner to put the second for ball the second base as much too high.

But Andy went leading up to save the ball and in with a stolen base is Toby Harrow. That will be his second seal of the year. So Toby Harrow sealed second and the count now to the all two strikes to the L.A. And the pitch Jackson told rolling outside and now it's three and two full counts to answer. This is ready in the Oriole bullpen. This is quite a sin for a grand Jackson he's been strictly a reliever this year and his tail three to the answer playing the ground ball at the second base and Johnson almost bad hopped over his head he gloved it firing the foul for the second out of the inning and on the play down the third base goes Toby Harrow. Two to one about an hour of the day of Melvin.

The fifth in Elson inside right up around the letters and they spin back out of the way for all one. Time call manager Earl Weaver figures that this might be the time to go get the grand jackson and the problem appears to be some sort of a hurt to the fishing hand. Whether it's a blister or what it might be I'm not too sure but manager Earl Weaver has gone to the mound and the extra bound is also out there with him.

These are tough moments for a manager and for a coach or an entry any picture worth a thought just will you know fight the saying of all game you will say anything to his manager in an effort to get the manager to change the mind. But weaver does not change his mind and grand jackson heads for the dugout with a very fine stand against the center of the tonight in his first start as an Oriole Bill. I'll talk about if I may add your comments I think there are quite a few remarkable things about what's the grand jackson has accomplished tonight. Number one as you just pointed out a couple of moments ago his longest release since his season two and one third in it. Back in late May against the Indians in a ball game back in Baltimore additionally with this thing his first start. Jackson has not even worked in a game in relief since the 15th of this month that was back home against Milwaukee or just a week ago tonight. So he had done no pitching on the mound even as a releaseer in one week time despite the fact that he has not worked a lot despite the fact that most of his release appearances have all been very true.

So tonight making his first oil start of the year and a week away from his last pitching experience as well. Jackson's soul just simply outstanding he did walk a man so that was Randall in the fourth inning that Randall was intentionally more when Washington had runners at second and third and just one out. And it was there that perhaps that Jackson was at his very best because when he walked to Randall to load him up with only one out he got a column on a pop up and then also retired the side to get out of the damage and leave. So the man with the base is loaded and keeps the ball game scoreless at nothing nothing since that time and running through now in the bottom of the seventh inning Jackson has recorded seven strikeouts. So the count of one ball and no size to Dave Nelson for a couple of reasons I'm sure we've had brought on to replace trans Jackson. So one one thing among others that we would like to avoid since there are two men out and since Dave Nelson is the batter and since they've got a runner a third day far out.

Because I've all been very sure tonight making his first oil start of the year and a week away from the last pitching experience as well. Jackson's full just simply outstanding he did walk a man so that was Randall in the fourth inning that Randall was intentionally more when Washington had runners at second and third and just one out. And it was there that perhaps that Jackson was at his very best because when he walked to Randall to load him up with only one out he got a column on a pop up and then also retired the side to get out of the damage and leave the man with the base is loaded and keeps the ball game scoreless at nothing nothing. Since that time and running through now in the bottom of the seventh inning Jackson has recorded seven strikeouts so the count of one ball and no size to Dave Nelson for a couple of reasons I'm sure we've had brought on to replace trans Jackson. But one one thing among others that we either would like to avoid since there are two men out and since Dave Nelson is the batter and since they've got a runner a third day far out.

He would like to avoid having Frank Howard come up with two men on because if Nelson gets the board that's exactly what would happen so Duke back into a corner somewhat some time with a count of one ball no strike to Nelson find a retire. Nelson trying to get out of the inning trying to keep it to nothing lead and trying additionally to avoid facing Howard during the seventh inning. Bill that's extremely well putt and here is Tommy Duke with a clean and a miss from Dave Nelson and he talks about not getting a mouse in the board to get Howard to the plate. This is now making his 14th appearance of the year and he's only walked three batters that he throws strike for pitch bring in a miss to strike as a matter of fact the last time Tommy crossed the line and got in the ball again he came in with one out in the base is loaded against Milwaukee and struck out him. So we have to down the one or the third base of power and a ball and two strikes the count to Nelson the right hand a Duke fires way into this and he struck him out a foul chip but I believe that that's about to be in and how that's a really

thing at the end of seven it's Baltimore to watching do nothing. Those of you who have been listening to our second game broadcast and very beginning you may remember comments that we made early tonight about some severe foul chips that were taken on the chess protectors of both the plate imply get some tatchers chasen over with really in the ball game and we were wondering and thinking out loud. I wonder who is the first one over to wear a chess protectors. Well thanks to Mr. Tom Gibbs of Pikeville, Maryland we have found out first man to ever wear a chess protectors Charles Bennett of the Detroit Wolverine and the year 1885. I should have remembered that. You normally do. We go to Dave Johnson and the ball one has been up three times the liberal debate should have double in the fourth inning and the right hand at Cox fires again a breaking just cut on and fired behind the plate of ball and a strike today. Dave leads the ball club in doubles he hit a 13th level in that fourth

inning. Casey Cox wants another baseball and rest gets a very fine fight on fire and provide him with one. You missed the first game final it was watching an eight ball the more straight from the center. Some of the Orioles for 15 gets the one one five ball to two balls and strike today. We're in the top of the eighth inning of the night. That's a two on two five slide ball right to your way cutting over some shell on through that coming on now toward the foul line answer there makes a sense one away. Now we got Booth Powell who was batting in the spot normally occupied by certain. And Booth had a fine first game he knocked in a pair of hunts and he had two hits in four trips and a total of six in the series with five runs that it in ball one to find outside the booth. It takes a little time to retire too late so now we're ready to go again. Big Casey Cox on the

mound he is pitching a relief of starter Jim Shummback so one of the hits coming to power high there too both starters Shummback and Grant Jackson did an outstanding job for their respective managers tonight the Orioles lead by a score of two and nothing. Well the senators have out hit the Orioles seven to six the two nothing to power the looks of the strike two on the board breaking ball low and inside run the count up now three balls right now from the third how I saw it column and second and mentor first around the center of the fan that I stand out I'll show Howard and left Madison center and over the right here corner of Delanter. Top three one by Black Thor and Powell is reached again. I want to walk the group how will bring in Marshall Andrew and Marshall five hits in the last minute series once or

four in the first game it was a double and he scored a run. Oh we've had a little conference out there and around the mound between the Casano run and 50 Casey Cox. Menture is not going to hold the power of first place on a way and the set by the Washington right hand at a fixed to the lantern strike right across the letters. Get one of the newer American League on players and he's a highly respected young player. Yes. American League is acquiring quite a few good new on fire to pick low and outside ball one one ball of one strike blue power with a tall side to second base. I guess you remembering the stolen base he had in the first game we still owe you that face and break and we'll get it momentarily. Now the one one to the waiting Mark

here. Fly ball right here away coming up at the ball is answer and he's been position to make the fans and does show for the second out of we take a face and break this is the bottom all all we owe based on the fact. And the edge of our end to face Casey Cox now and Andy has one for three tonight on the second game. He was a sensitive in the first game and failed to hit. Two away how all the first face the Orioles to the center is nothing but hit to anxivar and line right into right field and coming on as until he can get there a drop for the base it's holding second is food towel at the balance. Flaps the single in the right field and then bring out the new Oriole releaseers on the dooke. Good time he has been to the place five times with a base and he has two runs that then that base it was a double. Casano and Casey Cox again had a little bit of a meeting before switching to Duke.

Now the first off into Tommy Duke. We're gonna miss him he got a good healthy cut at that here. And the one strike offering to Tommy right handed for you to talk for the long intent look to Casanova now let it go and his one strike set. The time for all it's to sell right back goes the second base from Tommy there to make the cast and that'll be the final out of the end. At the end of seven and a half for all the boys to watching to nothing. Well with the Orioles waiting to the nothing before we go to the bottom of the game something let's run the North American make a scoreboard first and see what balls in the Indians wax the red socks nine to three the second game nonetheless is scored the Indians nothing in the red socks nothing in the fourth inning with rich hand against Cicago stands the city took a few on lead in the top of the first inning the white socks now batting with Dick Greg go against Tom Bradley Oakland that Minnesota

scoreless at the end of one hundred against Terry California at Milwaukee scoreless in the second inning with last year against Lockwood and we're in better than in the WBL and the Fred Schneider tonight. All right there here is the big one Frank Howard and Tommy Duke's first offering cut on and miss right one. Good hard breaking stuff and Duke's again the Orioles jam the third base out of the infield with three infielders. That's a bad hangout for target Duke's fires. That's for a state high as the ball in a strike. Right back with a one-one to Howard wing and he didn't get it a ball in two strikes. Tommy Duke's picking in the late for starter grant Jackson into the middle of the one two off into Howard. All the way to ball two strikes.

And the one two pitch to Frank wing and a foul chip out of the middle of the two and the extra bar until Howard stays alive. One ball two strikes. Duke's ready to go again the rocking right hander brings the on down his pitch. Stuck him out swing in the middle of the Howard go down. Now this is Duke's face too batter since the end of the ball game and he's both up and one away and now Elliott Maddox hit into a force play in the first and he tried to butt his way on and the force was thrown out and then lying to the light fielders. That's my murder retina. Duke's first off into Maddox must too high with a foul ball one. It's fall in Jeep country and during the drive into fall sales event get a great deal

on four by fours that refuse to be contained like Jeep Wrangler. Confidence built into every drive with the most awarded SUV ever Jeep Grand Cherokee and freedom that can't be denied with the open air freedom and Jeep gladiator. After 85 years it's no surprise that Jeep became America's SUV brand. Get a great deal during the Jeep drive into fall sales event. Jeep is one more awards over its lifetime than any other SUV brand. Jeep and the Jeep Grill or Registered Trademarks of FCA US LLC. Two nothing. Look out almost to the inside. All three three no. All three nothing said. Right just called and Duke's kind of put a little effort and nothing to get it in and Maddox is taking all the way. And Duke's to the move the three one offering to the right hand swinging Maddox drive

two called a blazing fastball over the interforce and the letters. Maddox is set out of the box momentarily to think things over and now he is back in again. We're ready to go. This will be a payoff three two sets to Elliott Maddox. To the move. Two sets. Ball four is too high. Maddox is on with a one-out walk and that will bring in the hot hitting time mentioned. Mentored two for three in the second game and he had three hits in four sets in the first game including a double and his set home run. The submarine Tina is throwing in the watching them both and here is Mentored stepping in. And Duke's first offering is a breaking ball low ball one. Time is extra bound runs for the mound out of order two to say two time he does means on

Eddie Watts against the throw in the Oriole bulls and along with deep riches. The three in the watching them happily eight inning Maddox the runner is first base and Mentored as a plate with a count ball one. Here is dudes to the set position and the right hand is pitches outside. Two balls no strikes for Mentored. Time here comes George Bamberger. He's going to go out and have a word of due to say the time he does just will also get the record a little more time to get one in the Oriole bulls and mentor takes advantage of the street one of the ball game to walk over and toss it in the on deck at our top and over. While the Orioles and the senators will go out and again to the bottom I hear at our FJ stadium and a hard-eyed it will be Jim Palmer for the Orioles. Then the getaway game the final game the fifth one of the series on Thursday night will

be the next one of the four major Dave McNally. Dick Bosman is the starter for the senator smart eye against Holler. Now the two nothing to gone into. Two balls no strike. Good hard breaking just driving down and in on the left hand swinging Mentored. Then against McNally Thursday night it will be Jackie Brown. For two on offering Duke fires winged a foul behind the plate and so Duke's a shot back to leave in the counter two balls two strikes with one out and Matt X for runner at first. Both clubs are dead even in the hip totem the Oriole 7 the senators 7 and the Orioles lead by a counter to nothing and one is just as nip and chubby as you could get it. For two to the waiting Mentored. Lines rise close by the second day from back to first in time for the double play.

A line drive here by company with the quick throw to foul and the runner at first Matt X is in double all and a pretty good real bar. The building Williams is coming on to him. Nelly Fox is all over the first day from five days but I have likewise Matt X and we will have a little bit of a discussion right now and Larry Nath the senior member of the queue is coming down some second days to see if he can settle the situation. The end as a may it is a line drive double play and that will be if the Washington and the eighth inning at the end of eight complete it is 12 or two watching to nothing. Well the senators are just finished yelling loud and we might say long especially at first day some five days. Nelson Fox the first day coach really brought to silica after the double play put out first day for his move by Dave Johnson the boot cow against Elliott Matt X for the third and final out. Williams also seen out Larry Nath the boss of the crew had to move away Nelson Fox from first day some player Dave Silica.

Now before we go to the top of the ninth inning on the national eight scoreboard they eventually devised to nothing in the sixth inning at Atlanta the Braves lead Montréal four nothing in the fifth inning at Cincinnati the red set of two nothing lead on the fillies in the fifth inning and there are three later at national eight games tonight all on the west coast. Well we look at Merse Ratman and he ran a handrapper that took a fifth in side ball one Merse having a fine second game he single in the first inning bounced his short and the third homer to the fifth inning and walked in the seventh. He took the three on the ninth in game number two. The one nothing talks for retmen swing and a line drive set if he away it's going to drop in front of Mattich and the retman is on with his third hit here in the second game lead off single center off the bat of Merse Ratman brings out fall blaze and fall is all for four in the night. He did reach one time on an air drive for third base from Dave Nelson. Casey Cox wants now to have a word of fill with tall captain over so he walks three

quarters away down to the plate and then is joined by Captain Over and they're just standing with their backs to the plate having a bit of a conversation. While mentoring Merse Ratman are doing a little talking down there in the first base way, new time fall blaze patiently waits for Captain Over and Cox to get ready. Pits the ball he squares the bunch takes the strike call outside corner for knees. Strike one to blaze. Nobody out. Retman the runner at first and a little bit of a time. He's going to have a good time. Nobody out. Retman the runner at first and a real tense top battle here in game two between the old and the center. The pitch to Blair he bonts at his right back door to Mount Grabby Casey Cox no throw the second to throw go for first base where Colin takes it and the fact of fighting players then resides pictures of the second base and covering

it first on the second retman for the plate Frank Robinson. Little Burger and Jesse are throwing in the Washington Bullpen to the first game tonight for a rock and a one away. Retman the runner at second base Frank Robinson at the plate first base is open and the senators are going to put him on. He will be getting an intentional war. Addle bring up what's Robinson and looks in the second game tonight. He was over four and he was over two in the first game but he did rock three times and even with three locks but still failed the score around. Just to have a moment and just to back to the comment about the argument that came off in first base between Millie Fox for the senators and Dave Syler quite a bit of the debris came out of a sandwich especially back of the Washington dugout

and ironically enough some of that debris hit the couple of the Washington ball player. Here's Brooks Robinson one away Frank at first and the murd retman on the second base. Casey Cox in really for the started Jim Cellingback all ready to go with his first offering to Brooks Robinson. Why they're all well hit deep left Frank Howard going back on the warning track in front of a fence a one handed grab by the big Washington left field. Well that's too up tonight. Brooks made a bet for a home run. He sent Howard right to the wall and the big man reached out the maybe one handed grab and in the first game tonight he chased answer up against the barrier and the right field corner the grab is fly ball two down in the top of the night. An hour second base from Dave Johnson he is one for four here in the second game and they sat out for first one. There's one hit a two base back on the all four.

Constance first offing the base not know ripping strike on the throw the second base back safely as the base runner is right on the column drop the ball after the strike for a while trying to make the side one strike to Johnson. So looking for the fine by the right handed talk he's ready to one strike offering to Johnson swing in a foul to the screen to strike. All in two the count for the all the old second baseman Johnson two down all the old runners by a grab and the first Merb let's run the second and cross ready to go out of the steps to the fifth low and away in a good state and captain over one ball

two strikes. Const ready to go again the one two picks to the waiting Johnson strike three is called. Johnson is called out of strike and that's it for the all the old and then half of the line at the end of eight and a half is one or two Washington nothing. Well the dude batter just starts the last half of the night and for the Washington center this is scheduled to be for Casanova in here said however comes Larry Bittner. Bittner will be the pink swinger for Casanova as what and Richard are ready in the bullpen top on the mound is Tommy do's and here is his first offing the left hand swing Bittner. Strike over the outside corner of the news. Bittner hitting two five four on the year and he had one for four and the opening game of the

series just right back at a good fastball over the inner force and down around the news and Bittner is behind the Macau now all in two. Duke's all ready to go he watched for the motion here's the two strike up in curveball swing and a ground ball up the first base side base Johnson has been able to throw to the picture covering it first it is in time to get Larry Bittner. Johnson got to the ground ball on the outfield grass and made a good throw made a good throw to the picture Duke covering it first base for the first out in the bottom of the night and we have Tommy McCrawl now batting for KC Tom. McCrawl on the year he was hitting two thirty eight a left handed swinger out with Jeffy and Duke's first offing breaking ball low ball one. Now the one nothing to the left hand swinging McCraw Duke fires he missed again

down low two balls no strike. But two nothing low again ball three to McCrawl. The car here to the center last night against top swim when I was either strike out route now the free nothing to the left handed swinger Duke fires by ball four and McCrawl is armed with a walk and now we'll get Bernie Allen and he will bat four Tim Kelly. Allen appeared in the first game the night and delivered one here in two steps to the plate and he also appeared Friday night on a wrap of the first night Monday night last night and fly to center field left handed swinger Allen strike is called right over the knees in the inside portion.

Powell is not holding with the car first base the set by Duke's the one strike took high fly ball right field away with Frank Robinson coming on back goes the second baseman Johnson is Johnson the second baseman making the catch for the second out of the inning to down an out toldy harrow and toldy harrow only played a turn to the second game in the seven inning for him finger to pedophilia. Here's harrow right hand at that one and Duke first offering to toldy to play in the ground ball hit towards her base and just robin he got a throw the second there's the fourth time the final out of the ball again that's it the Orioles win it to the nothing and they'll be back with tonight's game so this right after this.
