It makes it tough for the manager because it upsets the attention rotation and usually the youngsters who are trying to make the attention staff are those who suffer and they're set back and lose their turn. So we're back on the good weather being right now and the Yankees have taken the field and there's bud daily who's struggling to regain the form that he had a few years ago and trying to gain a position on the Yankee ball club but actually has to fight for a job. He pitched only one inning last year and that was in the opening game of the 1963 season in Kansas City. It was a very cool day and something snapped in daily's arm. Constantly that led to an operation and he has been on the comeback trail. He pitched

Yesterday they came up with nine runs five of them in the ninth inning to defeat the Chicago White Sun. Now Jim Owens right hand around the mound delivers a fastball called strike one to Tony. Yankees have a few injuries. Still in to Jim. Just coming to slide is unable to play. And Joe Pepperton who was hit by a pitch from left hand or out. Jackson will miss a week or so though still out of there. There's an upper runoff not to down close to your own home time. A nice play by Pete Reynolds if he knocked the ball down I was heading for right cleared and then picked it up and got to that.

21:08So there's one out his Bobby Richardson. Richardson hitting at 259. Bobby started well over the 400 marks for the first eight or 10 going on and since that time there's one little 14 for 54 other spring. Jim Owens the right hand and into the line has delivered to Bobby. There's a check swing about to throw third. Bateman out and he picks it up as a roll foul. Bateman for a minute looked as though he might have had a chance to grab hold that ball before I went foul. Richardson did not leave the plate and had he got it. Bobby would have done a shootout. But if you're the catcher running out after a ball like that we go back to the plate. And a guy like Richardson has the plate. That's the base hit and ball dribbled down there about 35 feet. Oh and the one strike delivery to Bobby is a set of the slow ball one. One ball and one strike.

22:09One one the counts. Richardson's second batter for the Yankees. We're in the last of the first inning. I want to deliver to Bobby a line drive fly. Go ahead and say drive field moving under and getting it is Johnny Weekly. Bobby hit that ball well. Now a little bit too much loss to it so. You know what it sucks to be bored. He'll be facing Mickey Maddle, Tommy Trash and Johnny Blanchard in that order. Maddle batting left power to the right hand of Jimmo. Maddle a two thirty five battered that's farthest from. Eight hits and thirty four at bat, that's 12 walks. And you lead the club in home runs with two. Nobody except Maddle I said more than one. Nick Swings and this is Strike One.
