About this episode
Elaine Parker was stalked by a man she met on a dating app. The relationship moved quickly, and right after they were engaged, Elaine endured domestic abuse, sexual assault, and rape. She finally got him out of the house and turned to the police, who arrested him multiple times when he began stalking her, threatening her, and trying to break into her home. As his stalking continued, Elaine found out he was still online dating and bragged about it on social media. While Elaine's stalker is currently in prison, she has made it her mission to help others by creating Safer Date - a dating app that puts safety first. New members must pass mandatory ID checks, global criminal background checks, insolvency checks, and even addict register checks for added peace of mind. Elaine is here to talk about her fight for justice and how she's become a survivor and an advocate for other women. **The following episode of Strictly Stalking contains depictions of domestic violence, sexual assault, and harm to animals. Listener discretion is advised.**
