Automated pumps might be the shiny new toy everyone’s raving about, but they’re not the magic solution people love to pretend they are — at least not for me. When your CGM drops out mid-workout, reads multiple points off, fails days or weeks early...handing over full control to an automated system just doesn't make any sense. And that's just the half of it!

In this episode, I’m breaking down the real, unfiltered reasons I haven't switched to automated pump tech despite having the option — and why “newer” doesn’t always mean better for your actual daily life. We get into the gaps in current algorithms, missing features no one talks about, the mental load of constant troubleshooting, and so much more.
